  1. Wow, this is freakin fantastic. Ok, so here is a question I always think about. How often to coasters get inspected? I have heard that they get inspected every morning, but I have been to parks pretty early in the morning, before opening, and have never seen anyone walking around, inspecting the coasters. Thanks, and if this question seems stupid, my sincerest apologies. The other questions I have might sound much more dumb.
  2. What else have you been on at Hershey?
  3. I have lived in Brooklyn my whole life, and I barely ever go to Central Park. I just found out about a month ago that you could go out on row boats. I definitely want to give this little park a try before it closes.
  4. Like you guys, I feel they missed the mark from an enthusiast point of view. But for the regular guest, it is great. On Saturday night, the single rider line was almost as a long wait as the regular line, but on Sunday morning, I got three rides within ten or fifteen minutes. I would have been able to get more, but I didn't feel like riding it anymore. I feel Fahrenheit bridges the two sides of the park. It's such a long walk from the entrance to Lightning Racer, that the position of the ride kind of breaks up the feeling of walking forever. If that statement makes any sense at all.
  5. Steel 1. Maverick 2. Storm Runner 3. Nitro 4. Alpengheist 5. Millennium Force(just for the pure speed) Wood 1. El Toro 2. Comet(Hersheypark) 3. Cyclone(Brooklyn) 4. Phoenix 5.Lightning Racer (I prefer Thunder, but either side is pretty good). My list usually changes, but for the most part, this is it.
  6. I think I'm in the minority, I don't really care for it to much. The airtime on the first drop is insane, and to me, is the only part of the ride worth while. I love Hershey, but I feel they missed the mark with this one.
  7. Nice TR, I'm actually planning a one day, one night trip back their at the end of July. I remember Sea Serpent being pretty rough, but that could have been because I really didn't feel good. Anyway, nice TR.
  8. Kind of sucks a bit. I would definitly feel like some kind of prisoner not being able to leave the place I work at.
  9. You hit the nail on the head. The airtime in the back is fantastic, but I can only do one ride in the back. I always brace myself for the turns, and even that doesn't help. The front does offer a view with nice air. But for some reason, I prefer the third seat, if just feels like it has more airtime.
  10. Many people who visit GADV come from New York City, and no one wants to travel on the New Jersey Turnpike on the Fourth of July.
  11. From what I have heard, it usually isn't crowded on the 4th. But, since it is a Friday, you could be in for some long lines. If you could, try and wait for a weekday.
  12. Yesterday, El Toro, back row, no stapling. Nothing better than that.
  13. Great American Scream Machine at Six Flags Great Adventure last Friday.
  14. I think Shlitterbahn uses a system smiliar to this, you can check where other memebers of your group are located. It seems good for people who will let their children go around the park by themselves.
  15. What's a Gold Qbot? Is it like a fast pass? Yes, but instead of just holding your place in line, it cuts the wait by more than half.
  16. Its the Econo Lodge. We stayed their this past weekend. The prices were good, the person at the desk was pretty dumb. Its not even ten minutes away from the park. If all three of you are going to stay in the same room, its $10 extra for every adult after two.
  17. I also really enjoy both parks. I have been to Hershey three times, and this year I will be making two visits, one this coming Friday, and one exactly a month from this Friday. When I visited Bush last year, I thought the park was beautiful, and the coasters were all really good, especially Alpengiest. But, I really do love Hershey. Maybe its the nostalgia I feel when visiting their. Also, I know that some hotels offer shuttle service. The only one I know for a fact is the Best Western about a half mile from the park. Whatever choice you decide to make, it will be well worth it.
  18. I think he was referring to not being able to pump your own gas. Anyway, very nice TR. I read they were assinging seats on Fahrenheit, are they still doing that?
  19. Nice, I really like that shot of Great Bear's zero g-roll. I have to start contemplating if I should ride the front row or the last row of Fahrenheit.
  20. Wow, what a great TR. I remember going to Ocean City when I was about eleven or twelve years old. I remember my step-father going on Tidal Wave, and being so afraid of it. I definitely want to pay a visit, if not this summer then hopefully next summer.
  21. I love your captions. Glad you got to finally ride it.
  22. I think Wildcat was closed because of the incident a few days ago. I love how the coasters come so close to the midway, it makes for great pictures. I hope the girl who got hit in the face is ok, some people can be so dumb and inconsiderate.
  23. This sounds very selfish, but it always bums me out when these things happen. They always make me second guess the saftey of amusement park rides. I know not many people die/get injured on rides, especially coasters, but it still makes me think. I"m glad no one was serioulsy injured.
  24. Nice pictures. What Ferrar did you end up getting?
