  1. KK has become really rough. And people feel that otsr's are not as good compared to the lap bars on Dragster. For me, although Dragster was smoother, the launch didn't feel as intense as KK. And the twist coming down from the tophat didn't give me the lateral g's I feel on KK.
  2. Same here, when I went to CP last summer, it was fantastic. Their were some negative aspects, but their are negative aspects anywhere you go. I also go to GADV many times during the season, one trip might be fantastic, barely any long lines, ops doing their thing quickly and efficiently. And sometimes the lines are horrible, and the ops look like they would rather be anywhere else but their. Even on the same day, you will get two different experiences riding two different rides. El Toro ops might be very enthusiastic and doing their best to get full trains out as quick as possible, and at the same time, right across the lake, Medusa ops are joking around, not doing their job correctly. This is just an example of course, as I always find that even when Medusa has a long line, the wait is not very long. So, like I said before, you are going to get fantastic experiences, and horrible experiences at both parks.
  3. I will try and not be byest. I love GADV, I just came home a little while ago from a great visit, even in the rain. El Toro is my favorite wood and overall, and Maverick is my favorite steel. I had so much fun at CP last summer, the whole weekend was a blast. While both parks have their employees that don't seem to care, they also have their employees that do care and are willing to help you out. So I guess for me its a coin flip.
  4. Nice TR, I'm planning a trip to Wildwood for mid/end of June. How long was the ride from Wildwood to Occean City? Thanks.
  5. Nice, I knew one would be coming. I was in back of you guys in the que for El Toro on Sunday. As soon as you guys left the line, it re-opened. Don't worry, I wasn't stalking you guys or anything.
  6. I think I'm pretty stupid, I have no idea why I said that.
  7. Maverick, without a doubt. Even if it is a bit rough, the speed and airtime of that coaster, as well as the setting, over the lake, put it on top.
  8. I'm not sure if I read it in this thread or somewhere else, but I think it's built already. Their is something wrong with the front wheels. Again, I could be wrong. Hopefully someone more knowledgable will respond to this in a short time.
  9. As I was reading this, a commerical for it came on. I will be checking it out right after the Ranger game.
  10. I really don't trust rides like this, I'll stick with coasters. I'm glad no one was killed. This is also a little off topic, but I noticed their are a lot more flat accidents that coastes. Just thought I would needlessly throw that out there.
  11. Very nice report. I love those mine rides, Mammut looks like a lot of fun.
  12. They usually run two trains during the peak summer months. It also depends on what days you go. In the summer during the week is crowded, but not as crowded as a Friday or Saturday in July.
  13. Nice TR. I know its been posted on many sites, but when is Fahrenheit set to open?
  14. This is probably the best, most entertaining tr I have ever read. If I new you were going to be at GADV yesterday for opening day, I definitly would have made the effort just to get an autograph of the famous Big Mike. Can't wait for the rest.
  15. I now have to go to the bathroom just from watching that. And KidTum's is so cute.
  16. Mean Streak was the only ride I complety hated. It was rough, slow, and just not fun. My back and shoulders were hurting me more than on the Coney Island Cyclone.
  17. Wow, those are some great pictures, and not only do I miss Cedar Point, I miss coasters in general.
  18. Pony Express does look very interesting. I had no real thought or opinion on the ride until I saw your pictures. Nice TR.
  19. Nice TR man. I loved my trip to Cedar Point, Maverick was awesome, every other ride was meh. I did enjoy Millennium Force for the sheer height and speed, but with no airtime for me in both the front and the back, it left me wanting a little more. As for the operations, many of the ops were unenthusiastic, and, in my opinion, were not working as fast as they could. Again, maybe its my Six Flags bias, but I didn't think their was anything special about the operations. Again, awesome TR and great pics.
  20. Nice tr man. Damn, I really wish I would have went today. Now I have to wait until next week to ride the Cyclone.
  21. Happy Birthday. I also have nothing creative to say. Enjoy your weekend.
  22. I'm with you man, a pre-fab revolution would be awesome. Having been on El Toro at least 15 times, I can tell you that even a weak ride is a fantastic ride.
  23. God damn that it awesome. 75 coasters and Disneyland, you guys are awesome. And unfortunately, I still can't go.
  24. Very nice TR, my girlfriend doesn't like rides either, but she loves taking pictures of them.
