Formula Rossa needs color...its just ugly right now. I don't quite understand the white track with white support thing...it just doesn't work for me. -

Just got back from the park and got 4 rides in on Sky Rocket!(in addition to one ride on PR and one ride on Aero 360) The line was surprisingly short when i was there and was roughly 45 minutes the entire time, and was down to 30 minutes by the time I left at around 3. Now onto the ride itself, of the four times I rode, 2 were in the first row, one was in the second row, and one was in the 5th row, and after those 4 rides I can easily tell you that this is definitely a front row coaster. The airtime in the front two rows seemed much more prominent then in the 5th row. The airtime going over the first hill after the launch was pretty intense and the cliffhanger element seemed to be done just right. As mentioned already, the zero g roll and corkscrew provided for some great hangtime. After the corkscrew though the ride pretty much dies as the surf curves were a huge disappointment and the final two airtime hills were just average. Overall the ride was great and was extremely smooth and definitely a perfect fit for Kennywood. -

I've got a big pile of 2010 Kennywood maps for those interested. I also have lots of 2009 brochures for Kennywood, Idlewild and Waldameer. Hit me up with a PM if you want to trade. -

Does anyone know if the second car for the second train has even come in yet? -
Last year before the ride was removed, the Turnpike at Kennywood wouldn't allow single riders. For those of you that don't know, the Turnpike was just your average single rail guided car ride that used antique style cars. This completely baffled me for I could see no reason that such a ride would need two riders to operate. This dissapointed me when I saw this because I went out to the park that day by myself just to ride that ride before they closed it down as it was my favorite ride at the park when I was a child.

I was also at the park today with my school and everything looks great. Like StormFreak said, Sky Rocket is much better looking in person than in pictures, and it truly does tower over the midway. Otherwise in the park, I also agree that the Swingshot was a bit tamer this year, but I still love the ride nonetheless. The new paint jobs on the Auto Race and Noah's Ark also look fantastic. The Phantom's Revenge, other than having a few technical problems across the day, was running great. The top of the second hill is much better now to compared to last year so whatever they did seemed to work well. And last but not least, my friend won a Steelers jersey by scoring an incredible 10.5 on the laser maze game!! -

The GCI Mystery Project

Haha funny, I literally just saw this on Facebook like 30 seconds ago. Then come here and see a thread about it. Anyways, my prediction? Kennywood 2011!!!! A GCI would be a great fit for the park IMO. -

My guess would be it's the peak of the Zero-G roll. It does look pretty extreme though that's for sure. -

Can someone that works at the park tell me how likely the park would hire someone my age(17, junior in high school)? I'm going to be looking for a job next summer and I'd love to get a job at Kennywood. Also, how flexible are the hours? -
