  1. Hope it went well. I'm as straight as a 90 degree angle. Seriously.
  2. In Virginia, at my parents' town, it's about 2.83 for regular unleaded. Prices went down.
  3. I hate "Opinions are like assholes. Everyone's got one." Completely ruins all conversation. Also hate the phrase "We'll see."
  4. Well I used to live in a rural county that had no towns at all. The county was long and had only around 6000 people in it. Nearest town, which only had a population of 2500 was 15 minutes away. Nearest big town was 40 minutes. And that's when I was close to Kings Dominion! As for the fuel efficient cars, take my car for example. Can't afford a new one, and the car I have used to get 330 miles to the tank, and now only gets 240. In the city it gets a little over 100. I live in the city. My city is all urban sprawl, so I can't ride bikes or walk. No pedestrian crosswalks except on campus and downtown, where all the expensive stores are. People get hit by cars walking in my city quite often. It's not safe. Bikes are used heavily in my city, but bike theft is rampant. Most who use bikes only use them close to campus, due to the crosswalks there. It doesn't work for all of us, see? This is why I'm moving to a better place after school.
  5. Also, some of you forget that some people here live in very rural areas, 30 minutes or more from cities. I used to. You HAVE to go by car in those situations. No matter what side you're on here, ya just seem to want to bitch and moan. Either because you feel cheated or because you want to feel better than everyone else it seems. (This statement is not directed at any one person)
  6. Looks like they have quite a bit of room for flat ride and shop expansion, but I can't see any more coasters going in after this unless they do a stupid thing and get rid of the lake, a la Kings Dominion. Can't wait to visit the park right before I move away from it next summer.
  7. I put that I don't care. Because I'm not going to gripe at people for believing the plan will work, because it's stupid to do so, and I'm not going to care if people do pump gas, as it's their money/car. In my opinion, it's really bazaar that people get so worked up over if this will work or not. Internet people are so touchy. My god, it's just a boycott. To those complaining about gas, I have to say "my god, it's just gas."
  8. Uptown (really downtown) Charlotte is one of the reasons it's my favorite city on the east coast. Great pics.
  9. I'm as straight as Richard Simmons doing contortions. ooooh. Double score!
  10. I've truly never had a BAD park experience. I have had one not-too-good one, and that was SFGAdv back in 1997 when I was 12. Park looks much better now though.
  11. Read a news story on FOXnews the other day. Gas futures for June are down to $2.61 a gallon. Reason the prices are so high right now are refinery problems. Especially the BP one, I believe, in Indiana.
  12. Straight as a shuttle loop... Yeah. No idea how to explain that in bi terms.
  13. Well, on a coaster board, ya can't exactly say straight as an Arrow. If they were straight, headaches would not be a problem.
  14. (Has anyone ever died or even been injured on a B&M coaster?) Only male models and geese. Man, I'm gonna follow Maverick's news more closely now. That heartline roll just looked wicked. But it's good to know that Arrow wasn't the only group that had problems with their designs after being built. I thought Drachen Fire was the only ride that had to have inversions taken out due to pain. I guess some would say that about Steel Phantom as well, though.
  15. Well, my name is Trent, I live in eastern North Carolina. I used to live 30 minutes from Kings Dominion, and for the past 2 1/2 years, have lived close to nothing. Still got to KD 4 times last summer though, and the Pavilion in Myrtle Beach before it was demolished. I will move away from here in a year, but to where I don't know. I'm thinking Pittsburgh or Charlotte, but if I have to.... Richmond (ick). Oh well, if I move there, I can work at Kings Dominion I guess. I got into coasters when I was 11. My dad forced me on the Scooby Doo when I was 4 and i didn't ride another coaster until 11. It traumatized me. I hope to get to Cedar Point and Kings Island finally this summer, as well as doing my normal trips to Kings Dominion, Busch Gardens Europe and Carowinds. Besides theme/amusement parks, I enjoy metal and rock music, mostly old stuff like Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Deep Purple, Styx, Kansas, Kiss... I'm also a film major in college. So I hope to do some screenwriting in the future.
  16. I finished John Irving's The World According To Garp last month, and am now reading Hotel New Hampshire, which is the book he wrote after Garp. If you like stories about odd people, you'll love Irving's books.
  17. I must say that's the oddest list of that type I've seen. They did at Top 7? And they named it top coasters and put Drop Zone on there? AOL must be high.
  18. It's been stalled here at $2.87 for the past week. I suppose I should be thankful.
  19. Awesome photo TR. Hopefully I can ride Stormrunner sometime in the next few years. I now want chocolate...
  20. I'm a guy, and I'm bi, if you believe bisexuality exists. I tend to go back and forth with my attractions over the months. Like for a few months I'll prefer girls, then for a few months, guys. But yeah, i don't date either. Most people okay with bis around here are kinda slutty.
