  1. Kings Dominion just got a B&M. Sure it wasn't new, but it was still awesome, and the general public probably aren't going to realize so it will be just as popular as a new B&M for a while. I could see Carrowinds getting a new B&M, just because their collection is lacking coasters that are even over 150 ft, but quite honestly the former Paramount park I think could benefit from a huge B&M the most is California's Great America. There isn't any real hyper coasters in north California, so having a Behemoth/Diamondback type coaster their could really dominate the San Fransisco area theme park market. I think CF should take that step first and come back to Carrowinds after Carolina Cobra gets old (which probably wouldn't take too long)
  2. Here are some more recent strips. I would have more but recently I've been focusing less on my comics and have been spending my time on more serious artwork, (not to mention spending time on TPR ) But anyway, enjoy these. Once i get my portfolio for summer art classes together by January 6th, I'm going to finish up and send my syndicate package, then start stockpiling on strips. When 2009 starts expect strips to start flowing like water Oh and tell me what you think of the "marker shading" i mentioned before. This is the only finished marker shaded daily, and it didn't turn out like i had hoped so stopped the work on allot of the strips that i started to shade with markers. But really I'd just like to know if people want me to go back to computer shading, like Ive been doing.
  3. In gym today we were playing some indoor tennis rip-off called pickle ball, and this girl completely missed the ball, and in the process accidentally chucked her paddle clear across the court.
  4. My first impressions of this ride was that it was going to be a spin-off of Renegade, but these pictures really prove this ride may have the most unique layout of a GCI yet! It really seems as if they are starting to expand off of some of the Gravity Groups designs, Because these pictures, to me, really resembled parts of the Voyage and Ravine Flyer II. I don't know if anyone else feels this way.
  5. Because W is a vowel when its not If a quesadilla could talk, would that be terrifying?
  6. I went to an event at Morey's a year ago, where they wanted enthusiast's thoughts on the new coaster they're planning, and they took a tour group back through the maintenance area where the Gold Nugget was being stored. It was interesting to see it up close, although all the openings were sealed with plywood. I was hoping they would talk about their intentions for the ride, but they merely said "we don't have any plans for this ride at the time." Seeing that this was more than a year ago, this didn't come as much of a surprise, but it's still sad news. This ride looked like a true one of a kind.
  7. Hopefully they can install all the themeing fast, because i am dieing to see this thing in action. But judging by the preview pictures, looks like i'm going to be dieing for a while.
  8. There's like twenty different aspects of that quote that make it hilarious. It never gets less entertaining.
  9. My fortune cookie says i will be called upon to help a friend in trouble. Awww.. how nice.
  10. This made me laugh out loud while surfing in history class. Everyone looked over at me
  11. This is a pretty descriptive layout plan i found on Screamscape: So we still have the wing dip, a waterfall effect and a flat spin. It's short, but i like it.
  12. I have a feeling this might be along the trail of the next photoshop contest.
  13. ...And I'm still doing chemistry homework! Hooray!
  14. That was awesome! It was so tempting i had to trace the entire layout by eye for every coaster that was their! Thanks!
  15. Haha, its hard for me to imagine a bright blue and steel frontier-themed coaster. Well, who knows what will happen. Six Flags can be predictable and un-predictable, and this is definitely one of those un-predictable cases. Seeing that X2 was awesome, i think even if Six Flags makes something completely random its still going to turn out great. ....Unless of course they theme it to Thomas the Tank engine.... hey the colors fit! I'm sort of scaring myself now...
  16. Yeah that's exactly what it is. When i first saw the Fahrenheit promo video, i thought the ride was going to be rough, but extremely forceful. But it turned out that it was the exact opposite of what i thought, smooth yet mostly forceless in my opinion. You really can't determine what a ride will be like biased on a NL mock up. Some of the transitions in that video probably pulled red G's from my standpoint on No Limits, but i know Intamin isn't going to design a ride that kills people. We just have to wait and find out. I'm predicting it will be allot like Maverick; sort of rough but in a way that doesn't really matter because the ride is awesome enough to make you forget about that and focus on the incredibly fast transitions and forces all over.
  17. WOW! That looks incredible! Its like a perfect mix of hyper elements, air time and inversions! I'm really blown away by that one "turn" that appeared to be an immelmann but i guess it turns out just to be a really steep direction turn! It only says it has three inversions and i counted three heartlines! I'm dieing to see how that turns out.
  18. Morey's pier had this event two year ago where they wanted enthusiasts advice on a new coaster they are still planning to build, and they had this thing where they gave people a tour of their facility where they rehab their trains during the winter. They had this table set up with pieces of the nor Easter they said we could take. Luckily i got to it before the group of twenty middle aged overweight ACE members saw it. They were busy harassing the morey's employees to let them climb up into the overhead storage area to see a a car from one of those miniature Philadelphia toboggan company family woodies. I'm not even joking.
  19. Alright! 4 hours later and i haven't written more than a title on the word document! Meh. Maybe this might be a VERY long night. Good thing i have two red bulls in the fridge.
  20. i wish they would sell a few of the wheels or something, also. That's something i think i could actually buy! The only actual pieces of coasters i have as souvenirs are two metal buckle pieces and a plastic wheel cap from the Great Nor Easter at Morey's Pier. The wheel even has some Vekoma spoodge left on it!
  21. OK well what else would you think the title fairy may want as a wonderful gift? Odiously that one hasn't pleased her....or him.....uhhh
  22. Tonight is going to be a Loooooooooooooong night of chemistry work.
  23. Tobbogan at Lakemount. I still cry at night because of that ride.
  24. Kumba has a bunch of qualities that make it a mindblowing B&M original though. Just think about how the inversions are placed just far away enough to sneak a microscopic air hill moment in between each one. You don't see it, but you definitely feel the awesome B&M floater in the transitions. Plus the tunnel is so awesome and it makes i noise that i dream about when you fly through it. Medusa was a smoothed out version of Kumba, meaning they got ride of the those classic B&M transitions and made just smooth elegant changes in direction, and lacked the amazing, yet also elegant, airtime pops you got between.
