  1. I get surveys from Dollywood from time to time on new ride concepts and other things. I just got one one a virtual queue Fastpass-like system. I'd be interested in if Dollywood comes out with it and how they will handle it.
  2. You know, Soarin' was actually based on the movie "Clerks." Since Disney likes to make movies based on their rides, I wish they would make "The Great Movie Ride: The Movie." In turn, that can be a movie called "The Great Movie Ride: The Movie: The Ride."
  3. I've only been to WDW and DLR, but the rule of thumb for Disney is that you can videotape everything except if a CM makes an annoucement not to. Usually, the annoucement will be very clear on what you can't videotape. In a lot of the dark and indoor rides (Haunted Mansion, Pirates, etc.), you can't use external video lighting or flash photography. Nightshot lights are kind of tricky. I use Nightshot for some of the darker dark rides, but under the CM's IR camera, a Nightshot light may look like a regular camera light. You might hear an annoucement to turn off your light if you're using Nightshot. Usually, most of the time, they allow Nightshot because it isn't distracting to other guests really (unless those guests have IR eyes or Nightshot cameras ).
  4. I remember DCA's Soarin' made a clear annoucement that there was no video taping or flash photography. The American Adventure you used to video tape, but I've heard annoucements recently that you can't.
  5. There has to be a Carabba's! Also, put in "Elissa Alvey's Kiddie Coaster."
  6. I ordered my copy! I hope there will be video of re-heating food with hair dryers and Monica in a sexy bikini.
  7. I've worn my contacts on Dragster and they've never popped out! They do get dry, so bring drops or blink a lot.
  8. A lot of the show scenes in DarKastle reminded me of Spiderman. The spin down the fireplace reminded me of Spiderman's spin down the sewer. The floating in the air scene was a gentler Spiderman floating in the air scene. Even the drop seemed similar. DarKastle doesn't have a lot of the practical effects Spiderman does. I think adding practical effects would have made DarKastle a more immersive experience. I will say this: DarKastle's 3-D projections are very sharp and the amination is very well done. The motion of the sleds aren't as aggressive as Spiderman's Scoops.
  9. What's up with this?
  10. Kansas doesn't have very many parks, so this will be a good addition. Yay! New credits!
  11. I almost didn't feel the drop in DarKastle. When the sleigh dropped, it was like "Oh, we just dropped." Spiderman's drop is a lot better with the effects, music, and the Scoop colliding into the building first before the drop.
  12. I thought I had seen it all until I heard this on the news. I surely hope the kid gets gang raped in prison over and over again. Source: http://www.baynews9.com/content/36/2006/1/24/140713.html
  13. Fart is a chemical substance It comes from a place called bum
  14. Snake: "Why are you so fat?" Hamster: "I ate your brother."
  15. I think they need to give sugar free chocolate substitutes for us diabetics.
  16. Can I have... "He's kind of sad and pathetic"
  17. What's up with this?
  18. Be glad you were not banned. People on the stupid DISBoards have been banned for much less.
  19. I rode PKI's version the back row and I got tossed around like a rag doll! PKD's version is pretty good. If they do take out FoF, just head north and ride the Joker's Jinx. It's pretty much the same thing, except Joker's Jinx is not in a box.
  20. I can say volumes about the "interesting" stuff I've seen on the Community Board.
  21. ^If AR&R ever read the stupid DISBoards, they'd have a field day! Hey AR&R, take a look at www.disboards.com, particularly the Community Board! I don't think I can donate the tickets to charity, though.
  22. So the reporter may not be familiar with coasters, but how the heck do you write that Montu goes backwards? If you look at it for 2 seconds you can clearly see the direction that it goes! The Holy Land Experience is a top 10 attraction? WTF? It is nice-looking, but it seems like church with a $30 admission fee.
  23. I wonder...how bad do things have to be at SFMM before people complain?
  24. It's true. I rode in with a bunch of tourists who didn't push anything. when Gary Sinise gave the order to push the button, no one's fingers arose to the challenge. The computer just said, "Computer override" and just went on its merry way. What if that wasn't put in place? Tourists who didn't understand English or were confused (or both) would end up crashing into Mars and complaining to Guest Relations. Now that is kind of sad and pathetic. EDIT: I don't think you'd get banned for giving an opinion. I like Mission: Space, but I can see your POV. We don't ban people for farting wrong, much like the stupid DISBoards.
  25. I bet people are going to want to get talked snooty to just to get free Express passes. You don't want to be insulted. It turns in your stomach like a bunch of bad oysters. Now what would AR&R think of us now?
