  1. A friend of mine said that some Latinos in his apartment complex were mowing and using the leaf blower when Enresto hit!
  2. All I can say is Ryan needs a hobby or a girlfriend. I don't know of a girl who would date Ryan, so I guess he needs a hobby, like basketweaving, collecting Barbies, or riding motorcycles.
  3. That's what sexy moms do. Heck, when Wilma passed over Orlando, I rode it out in a skanky Days Inn. I ate at IHOP in the morning and then visited Sea World at noon!
  4. Well, tropical storm Ernesto blew through SW Florida. We were expecting winds of up to around 25 mph and heavy rain, but it turned out to be nothing more than a small summer shower. Bah humbug! I fart in its general direction! Now Enresto is headed over the Atlantic and will gain strength. People up north, get prepared!
  5. I heard NASA is sending an unmanned spacecraft to explore Uranus. They will probe Uranus.
  6. ^My favorite Dr. Seuss book is "The Lorax." They are all pretty entertaining, though. As a side note, the Dr. Seuss text is nothing without the wonky illustrations!
  7. A Disney fan website has a "Sound Off" section, where you can add your comment to the topic of the week. This week's topic is why you love or hate Universal Orlando. Being a Disney site, you'll see a lot of "it's not Disney" comments ad nauseum. But if you have something to say, I would encourage you to add a comment. My comment will probably be deleted due to my past history with the site. Besides, the formatting on it came out weird. Here is the link: http://www.wdwinfo.com/soundoff/SoundOff6.htm#mh-sounoff Happy commenting!
  8. Source: http://www.news-press.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060822/BUSINESS/608220343/1014/BUSINESS I drove by this park occassionally and for months, it looked nearly complete, but there were no signs of life. Now I know what happened. Who wants to buy the park? Maybe we can put a nice woodie there. Who wants to relocate the Screamin' Eagle?
  9. ^I would do Montu later, as most guests have the same idea as you...since they are close to Montu when they enter, they will do Montu first. Most guests also hit Gwazi first since it is close to the entrance. I would enter through the Narobi gate and take the skyride to the Congo. Then do SheiKra first. You can get a few good rides with a minimal wait. Then hit the coasters in the Congo area (Python and Kumba), then Timbuku (Cheetah Chase and Scorpion), and then Montu. Montu usually has a short wait in the afternoon. Of course, I am assuming you are visiting on a weekday. On Saturdays, all bets are off! Now you owe me $5.
  10. There's only one set of ticket booths, which are pretty close to the Narobi gates. The eKiosks are also near the Narobi gates. You can also buy your tickets online ahead of time at www.buschgardens.com.
  11. Prepare for a lot of walking! Try to avoid the shortcut through the garden. I took it not knowing any better and I came out exhausted! The gardens are no doubt beautiful, but stick to the main paths.
  12. ^There is a Narobi gate side entrance. If it is open in the morning, enter through it. You'll be steps closer to the skyride in Crown Colony. Later in the day, though, it may not be open. After you're done riding coasters, check out some of the park's shows. I would recommend seeing Katonga. It's a cool show, plus you get free air conditioning!
  13. ^^Concidence? I think not!
  14. If I recall, taxi drop-off is right at the front gates, so you don't have to walk too far to get in. As for where to eat, I usually eat at the smokehouse by SheiKra. The ribs are great! As you eat, you can be entertained by SheiKra making its rounds on the track. I've never tried to Crown Colony full service restaurant, but I heard it's pretty good. I woudn't waste money on the carnival games in the Timbuktu games. Even if you win, you might win a 3 foot tall cupie doll and you don't want to drag that thing around the park! Gwazi is two credits. Both tracks are different rides. One side may not be open, depending on your time of visit. Kumba is generally not too busy in the morning and loads pretty quick, so it may look deserted. During slow times, I've never seen more than a 5-10 minute wait. I've seen Kumba with a 45 minute wait during busy times! Misc tips: 1.) Wear sunscreen 2.) Don't eat yellow snow 3.) The white zone is for loading and unloading only. No parking please
  15. ^Man, you ain't going to the library, but a TPR group trip! Everyone on the UK trip had fun. I didn't hear one complaint! We did complain about painful Vekoma rides, though.
  16. Caption this! What's up with this?
  17. Actually, Robb is the one on the left.
  18. I am the king of stupid questions. Anyway, I'm still debating on Japan or the Midwest. I'm leaning towards Japan because I'll probably never do it on my own. The Midwest I can do on my own, but probably not as cost effective as R&E's group trip.
  19. The Flying Unicorn at IOA used to have a really hard end brake stop. The end brakes threw you forward and slammed you back into the seat! Now the brakes are much lighter.
  20. I'll be visiting this part in 2007 for sure. Who knows how long it will be open. Maybe I can visit Dollywood and SFOG too.
  21. I know that we don't have prices yet for the trip, but how much did other clubs charge for comparable trips? If I recall, the ACE Japan trip was around $3,000. Were there trips through the midwest from ACE, Coaster Zombies, etc.? I'm just trying to get an idea of how much the trips could cost. I know, nothing is set in stone yet, so please don't ban me!
  22. I found a $3 off coupon for a wristband off a loaf of bread bag a few years ago.
  23. Pencil. How canyou have any pudding if you don't eat your meat?
  24. Due to circumstances beyond my control, I am discontinuing the UK trip DVDs. They will be integrated into a future coaster DVD video set, which will probably be released sometime next year. Those who have responded to this thread so far can have the trip video for the low cost of...free! If you haven't done so, please PM or e-mail me your mailing address to get the video at a super low cost. Thanks!
  25. Timmy isn't cute like everyone supposes He's got them hoppy legs and twichy little noses And what's with all those carrots Why does he need such good eyesight anyway Timmy, Timmy, Timmy, it must be Timmy!
