  1. SFMM has some cool coasters. They just need to learn how to run the park better. The best-run coaster there seemed to be Riddler's Revenge. OK, all ride ops go learn some lessons from the Riddler's Revenge group! I wonder what will go where Psyclone was. The last I checked it was still a big patch of dirt.
  2. In the 3.25 hour line for Japanese X, I was surprised that none of the Japanese people had looks of anger on their faces or became frustrated, even when the ride broke down. People did sit down during the breakdown. A couple even read a newspaper! If a breakdown happened in the U.S., you better believe people would look frustrated and complained. In the same line, I couldn't help but stare at a guy's hat that said, "X-F***ing large." It made me wonder if he actually knew what was written on his hat!
  3. I just hope that Cheetah is demolished at WA and replaced with a cool GCII!
  4. Great PTR! I know what Derek and Nicole did in their Hotel Breakers room. *wink wink*
  5. I was looking all over for the delicacy "Stick on a Stick," but I couldn't find it.
  6. Great photos so far! I missed Hanayashiki Park, but it looked like a lot of fun.
  7. ^Yep, Fuji-Q sucks. You know, after visiting Fuji-Q, SFMM didn't seem all that bad.
  8. HFEC knows how to run a park, so perhaps they can make Wild Adventures a place worth visiting.
  9. ^I tried to buy Squid on a stick before we left at 6:00, but they were out. Stupid Fuji-Q!
  10. I waited 3 1/2 hours for Eejenkia (henceforth known as "Japanese X"). I did an inside seat and I liked it! the flips were a lot smoother than X and the ride was really great. I'm glad I didn't choose an outside seat. I did ride X at Magic Mountain about a week later. That ride was terrible! I was in the front row and on an inside seat. The flips were like I was riding a rusty old crank and it hurt a lot. People were coming off the coaster saying, "That was an awesome ride!" I came off saying, "Ow, ow, ow, ow." The line was a little bit outside of the load platform and I waited 50 minutes on a one train operation. Way to go, Magic Mountain!
  11. ^I'm surprised the boat stayed afloat with all that weight!
  12. With 4 coasters out (and one of my favorite floorless coasters), I see vert little reason to visit GL. The only reason I would visit GL is to obtain the Double Loop and the Beaver kiddie coaster credit. Double Loop was down when I last visited (and the last time was when it was owned by SF). I don't know why I skipped the Beaver coaster, but I wans't a big credit whore as I am now. If I was a local, though, I would probably visit once or twice a year, but I would rather drive 2-3 hours to visit much better parks like CP or Kennywood.
  13. Great photos! It looks like Cedar Point is pulling a Knott's. When a drop of rain falls from the sky, they shut down the rides. I hope CP doesn't shut down the whole park when it sprinkles. I remember a few years ago I rode Mantis in the pouring rain and MF during a light sprinkle. Those were the days...
  14. All I can say is... Now I have a good reason to visit Canada's Wonderland.
  15. ^Wear it to Six Flags.
  16. Thanks for the responses. All I really want to ride at SFMM is Tatsu. I've ridden everything else. I don't need to ride Viper or Revolution again, thank you. I think I will leave SFMM at around 5 pm. That should give me enough time to battle traffic, find a parking spot, and enter DL.
  17. If I won the $300 million Powerball, I'd... ...be rich!
  18. I thought California allowed hybrid cars into the HOV lane....hmmm...I will have to check that.
  19. Well, after the almighty Japan trip, I'm going to spend some time at SoCal and hit SFMM. During the week of 9/17, SFMM is only open on Friday and Saturday. I'm going to Disneyland too and fireworks are only on Friday and Saturday. SFMM is open until 6 and fireworks are at 9:25. So if I leave SFMM around 6, can I make it back to Disneyland in time for the fireworks? I'm staying at the Desert Inn across the street on Harbor Blvd. I'm renting a Prius from the Alamo office in Downtown Disney, so I suppose I can use the HOV/Carpool lane. I've encountered L.A. traffic the last time I was at SFMM and I want to try to avoid it. But if I drive from SFMM back to Disneyland, can I make it in time for the fireworks?
  20. Cool photos! The Q-Bot at SFAm is the same ones they use at Dollywood. I thought those Q-Bots were more effective than the ones used at other SF parks. You don't have to run around the park and scan your Q-Bot at the Q-Bot scanning thing at each ride. You just scroll up and down to find the ride that you want.
  21. ^Was Lou in Florida today? It rained buckets this afternoon! Rain in Florida > three duck butts
  22. ^^^If Terrance goes to Europe, hide all the statues!
  23. ^Most Scare-actors don't do it for the money, but for the fun.
  24. I've seen it once. I think it's good to watch it once, but I haven't had a desire to watch it again.
