What Was Your First Roller Coaster.

Scorpion at BGT -
I have a DCRHC30, which is similar to the one you have. Sony calls Firewire "iLink." Firewire is an Apple term. IEEE1394 is the generic term for Firewire and iLink. If you have any Sony product (computer, camera, donkey, etc.) IEEE1394 is always called iLink. You can capture video through USB streaming (I think), but I don't think the video quality is very good.

I still want "CSI: The Ride." -
Photo TR: DelGrosso's, Idlewild, and Williams Grove
BarryH replied to DerekRx's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Darn it, I missed the potato salad when I visited DelGrosso's! I ate the pizza. It seemed a little "bloody," but it was OK. Now Derek must next visit the Poconos Play Park and ride the High Speed Thrill Coaster clone! -
Cypress Gardens Photos and POV video of their woodie!!!
BarryH replied to robbalvey's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
I went to CG on July 4th and there were construction people there moving pieces of track around! What states don't have boomerangs? I don't think there are any boomerangs in SC or TN. -

Just don't look at the Friends statue from the left hand side. Great, now everyone is going to take a look at that angle! -
Elissa is like Paul Rubens, only cooler.

Hmm...I did get Philharmagic on video. With the 3-D movies and in the elevator at TOT, the CM made a clear announcement that no videotaping was allowed. Oh well... RnR Coaster is strange in their videotaping policies. Sometimes you can videotape in the preshow room and other times you can't.

I went on a Sunday and I was able to walk on every ride except Xcelerator, which had a 15 minute wait. I've been to several Cedar Fair parks -- WOF, Knott's, Dorney Park, and Cedar Point. With the exception of Cedar Point, the parks seem to be the slowest during the weekdays and Sundays. Saturdays seem to be the most crowded. I went to WOF on a Thursday and I pretty much walked onto every ride and re-rode every ride a few times, even Timber Wolf!

Christ, B&M's gonna have a hell of a year...

I just hope one of these B&Ms have forces in it! -
Busch Gardens Williamsburg Future??
BarryH replied to JayDarkKnight25's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
If I recall correctly, B&M made a deal with BGT not to construct any drop coasters at any non-AB park for years. So why not bring a drop coaster to BGW? Otherwise, I'd like to see a woodie go into BGW. If not, Sesame Place must get a drop coaster! -
Well, in a few days, I'm heading up north to ride some coasters. Here are my plans... July 14: fly in July 15: Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom July 16: Bowcraft Amusement Park (to ride the Dragon Coaster), Clementon, Blue Diamond (if there's time) July 17: PKD July 18: BGW July 19 - 20: SFGAdv July 21: Fly home I'd hope I would ride Kingda Ka as my 300th coaster, but it doesn't look like it will be open then. Oh well, I'll probably be back in the area next year anyway. I think I will try out Wildwater Kingdom since Robb and Elissa gave it a lot of praise. Besides, I can finish Dorney Park in 1/2 day anyway (if that!). How is the waterpark at Clementon? Any last minute tips?

Here are some parks that have allowed me to take cameras on rides: Knoebel's Miracle Strip Amusement Park (now closed) Dania Beach Hurricane Waldameeer Park (or people have told me) Conneaut Lake Park WDW (except for Stitch Encounter, the 3-D movies, inside the elevator at TOT, Soarin', and RnR Coaster) Disneyland Resort (except for Soarin', inside the TOT elevator, and the 3-D movies) SFMM (on Golitah, Colossos, Ninja, Goldrusher, and Canyon Blaster) The best thing to do if you're not sure is to ask, read the warning signs, or just don't shoot video on rides. If you do shoot videos on rides, hang on tight to your camcorder. I usually hold onto my Sony DCR-HC30 camera with both hands.

What Was The Last Coaster You Rode?
BarryH replied to SharkTums's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The last coaster I rode was Swamp Thing at Cypress Gardens. I visited on July 4th and the crowds were pretty light. I left before the huge crowds for the Vince Gill concert arrived.
