  1. Lionsgate are now involved with this park: Source
  2. I voted indifferent since I wasn't really interested in the last two photos but I do really like the 1st one where it literally looks like a "tiny planet."
  3. If it helps I lost my debit card on my 1st trip and so couldn't use fast pass and still got the 4 coasters plus the mouse and a few flat rides in. Just choose one and hit it at the start. I did Dodonpa first due to those tiny trains and found that Takashiba and Eejenaka kind of held steady at 50-70 mins all day. Fujiyama hit 30 minutes but they decided that meant switching to 1 train so it rose back up in the afternoon.
  4. ^ Yeah, I've never heard of anyone stopped and my co-teachers use that site too. I saw that site listed but they only didn't have the universal express symbol on the official site as a licensed distributor which I was told to look out for. Before HP I could always buy by being at the park an hour before opening. After HP they've always been sold out and a lot of companies buy them and raise the price by demand, so USJ updated the policies. When I looked at Klook it raised the price to $200 dollars on a backdrop ticket for August as well. I mean official price is $170 for a fast pass but seems strange that they can charge a $40 premium on top when that seemed to the be the thing USJ wanted to stop. I hope one day they can put an advance booking for queue passes on the official site on the English website as well, I'm just the kind of person who would rather pay on an official site and be safe than go through agencies when possible. Please let me know how it goes, I'm potentially going to go back for my next trip if this RMC White Cyclone rumors comes true, then I may go early 2019 when my school closes for a few days.
  5. Looking at that site, it seems it charges more for 7 flying dinosaur than others instead of official prices and isn't a site listed on the USJ site for fast pass. The backdrop 7 jumped from like 90 dollars to 200 dollars when I clicked for August 17th as an example. I've never tried one but i'm curious if this policy applies to sites like that, but how do they tell if it's been booked by an agency for you through the QR codes exactly? http://www.usj.co.jp/e/news/resale.html I'm curious because my Japanese friend who would help me book them and guide me through the site left Korea and it is a lot harder for foreigners when there isn't an option on the English site to do it and they sell out in advance.
  6. Been seeing news reports and hearing about a "Lotte World Accident" but it was just a breakdown and people were stuck for a few hours: http://news.chosun.com/site/data/html_dir/2017/08/06/2017080600136.html
  7. If you're set on those two days anyway, then yeah book them ahead of time. I think one of the hotel perks is that you can buy them an hour before the park opens when regular guests can't but if you've already set those dates no disadvantage to doing it, especially if Halloween nights have started by then. I think Flying Dinosaur and the HP rides are timed slots so just pray to the weather gods. Kind of confused by new ticket policies. It says any tickets bought through online agencies or resellers will be nulled to stop tickets selling out (I'm guessing fast pass issues) but the English website will only let me get them in advance through resellers and agencies they link to. I know on the Japan site you can book them directly. Edit: Got bored and looked into going during some time off next month and the flying dinosaur 7 seems to be sold out already for days I wanted so yea book now.
  8. Apparently it's now open, but only as a 3 day limited event, also tone down your expectations from the promo video first: http://www.asahi.com/ajw/articles/AJ201707290033.html
  9. Everland has become the target of an animal rights group recently, over the polar bear exhibit: http://www.koreatimes.co.kr/www/nation/2017/07/371_233825.html
  10. What is it with both Korea's and their love of Zamperla? So many of the new additions to the parks across the country have been Zamperla lately. I would never have guessed this was where the Thunderbolt was going, all mention of Robotland in recent years seemed to indicate that they actually wanted to scale back a little on the theme park side of things in order to attract actual robotics companies and make it a specialized business area, I believe a few companies are already in the area such as dron companies etc: http://www.joongboo.com/?mod=news&act=articleView&idxno=1181870
  11. The fact the "official" video has Robb yelling "sklooshy sklooshy" on the home page cracks me up every time.
  12. Although I think all doubts are gone at this point, the official blog has a lot of pictures of Sheikra and mentions 2 vertical drops now so yeah B&M Dive Coaster: http://blog.naver.com/hi_gjw/221058615509
  13. And on the subjects of Vekoma SLC's, Blackpool took one from their sister park, made room and squeezed it in around everything else.
  14. Boy is it nice to click play here where the YouTube comments section isn't in view at all. Facebook isn't much better after seeing Turbo Track's comments....
  15. Huh. I hope they didn't change it because it was the most intense launch in the world. It literally felt like you were getting hit in the back with a giant Mack Truck coming at full speed. What you described sounds kind of boring, TBH compared to what I've experienced. Dodonpa's launch is like sex...it's not supposed to be "comfortable." Looking back over the pages of this thread and comments in other topics, I like how your opinion has changed and you're honest about it. It's a refreshing change from people who will declare a ride best/worst ride EVA!1!1!!! and then that has to be the way it is no matter how much a ride or their experience changes over the year. Dodonpa's launch was what always made me go to Fuji-Q every trip at the expense of some others. Every time I think of making a diversion to Nagashima Spa Land it seems something gets rumored for me to wait, 1st the B&M Flyer, then the 4D free-spin and now potentially a chance of my 1st RMC I still keep putting it off. If the launch isn't as good it finally gives me a reason to ditch Fuji-Q and maybe do Parque Espana... Although with my love for Kawasemi, if Tobu Zoo ever RMC'd Regina I might just end up there every day on my non Disney day's.
  16. Don't get me wrong I'm excited for this, but as I said in my earlier post, a few friends of mine came away from it in Paris thinking it was good but weren't really overly bothered about going to line up for it again, I think they talked more about the actual restaurant than the ride. I've never been to Epcot so not sure on space compared to Tokyo's expansion for Fantasyland, and I know all rumours pointed to it being Ratatouille, but I was kind of still holding out hope it would be a copy of TDL's Beauty and the Beast. Maybe I'm silly for hoping on a copy of a ride that hasn't even opened yet but most things that come out of TDL are always amazing. Is Ratatouille still a huge name in the U.S.? Beauty and the Beast has always been big here but I barely ever here Ratatouille mentioned.
  17. I am so happy to be wrong.
  18. Well, one could argue there is also a Toy Story ride in Magic Kingdom and one at Hollywood Studios (with more on the way.) Not saying I prefer one over the other, but Ratatouille just turned ten years old a few days ago, and it doesn't seem like it's a property that stands out to most guests the way Beauty & The Beast does. Either way, the more Disney characters in Epcot the better! Even in Paris, when the movie and ride was newer and you think would be a bigger thing because of the movies setting, I never heard much buzz or overly great reviews of the ride. Most people thought it was OK/good but most people I know who went talked more about going to the restaurant for Ratatouille than the ride.
  19. I do hope in a future update that they can fix that for the 3 tower rides they have, it's a shame you can't adjust the height. That and some of the pre-themes on some of the original rides sadly limit what you can do with them sometimes. I always wanted to theme the uni coaster to barrels if it got a default skin in a ship wreck area.
  20. Wasn't sure which thread to post this in since it's all the Pirates rides but I figured this one since out of all the parks this seems to be the one with the most purists: http://www.ocregister.com/2017/06/29/auction-scene-in-disneylands-pirates-of-the-caribbean-to-no-longer-auction-brides/
  21. That cruise looks fantastic. I always wanted to do a Disney Cruise or something similar. I will have to take a look at the website soon to see the costs of an adventure at Disney standards but hopefully there could be something more in my price range than the actual cruise ships. almost wish you'd stopped by Alton Towers to ride The Smiler while in the U.K. just to see the fanboys lose their minds again.
  22. ^Ahh thanks so as a tourist, it would be alright taking pictures? I don't zoom a lot as in one car but more to fit in a train going by when I take pictures. I asked a friend who teaches out there so that must be where I got confused.
  23. Isn't there a law as well where you have to be careful who is in the photo, where if you can clearly see the face, you need permission if someone is in it and you post it online? I'm probably wrong but before my wife was pregnant, I was looking into going to the parks and it seemed like taking pictures of the area and rides as overviews seemed OK but not zooming in to get closer pictures of coaster trains/ride vehicles going around.
  24. I've made my feelings clear on my dislike for reservation only rides when discussing Everland and Volcano Bay, but I've seen some tweets saying Kraken Unleashed is full by noon. Granted, it's new and popular but if it's a case of the VR making capacity that low surely that's not going to go down to well with guests.
  25. The Thomas train will finish operations at the end of this month, like Pororo, Madagascar and Rio 4D, it could just be a case of letting the license expire and getting a new theme in to replace it and the nearby cafe. If not it could always revert to the original festival train. Old train
