  1. ^Do they sell out or is it easy to get your children in at least once to see the princesses? I'm curious what you guys think of the islands for people who are doing cruises only the once? Worth doing or is it mostly touristy things you'd hit on normal vacations?
  2. And a 1st generation freefall for the hardcore Intamin lover. I never seem to fit this park in my itinerary but it's definitely got to be fone on my next Japan visit.
  3. Sorry if this is rude but I find it quite douchey to post someone else’s views/complete rankings without their permission especially someone who has media relationships with parks and managers.
  4. Do the lower number of people who've ridden the coasters tend to skewer the ratings much higher? I expected T Express to do well but even though I put Atlantis in my top 10, I was surprised to see it in the top 30.
  5. So just saw Infinity War. No spoilers but I really enjoyed it. I’m not one who compares the marvel movies against each other but for the sake of avoiding spoilers I will review it as this I think people who liked civil war/ the airport scene will love this one. I haven’t been a big fan of the whole stone or Thanos thing throughout these movies but I still really enjoyed this. Some things I kind of want to discuss but I will wait until more see it.
  6. I love this, you'd think more places would do something like this, and I don't just mean cruises. It's amazing how many places don't care about everyone getting the same and it just coming down to luck on your placement. On that subject does the menu stay the same until everyone's been to the same restaurant (You've made me really want to try those pasta parcels). I'm also curious how easy is it to get seats and see all the shows? Sorry for the questions but this TR is really making me consider putting a little away for the next 10 years to try a Disney Cruise.

  8. One more for you then Source
  9. My wife and I always talk about doing an Orlando trip if we save for the next 10 years but this thread is making me think we should aim for 15 and tag a cruise on the end to wrap up the once in a lifetime holiday. I've always wanted to do a cruise and if we are only going to do it once, why not go with one of the best. Although I think I'd struggle with deciding off the menu each night. That french onion soup looks amazing but I'd probably sit there for an hour about missing out on the brie.

  12. The other thing to bear in mind is how long this coaster was in the works and planning stage. This coaster went through some other themes and different opening dates. I don't know the industry at all but i'm curious, could it have been a case that when the park brought the ride agreed the layout etc. that the new vest style trains weren't available? I'd imagine trains size e.g. 8 vs 10 seats, restraints, look, and how many would be part of the signing on the dotted line. I'm also still curious about that second drop. It looks like a steep drop compared to a vertical one. Is it the same on the other coasters?
  13. Draken will open May 1st. They also updated some of the older pictures I posted in this thread with that date as well. They're advertising it on the site as being Draken Valley replacing the old Snow Park tab while still keeping a bit of the Midgard/Asgard/Nibelheim theme. Source

  16. It is a good point that even with only 70 coasters ending up on my list, apart from maybe the top 20 and bottom 10, I really did have 40 rides that were all mostly just fun/enjoyable or ok/meh. I probably spent 5x more arranging those into some sort of order than I did my top 10. I don't know where to place Nemesis Inferno, the Battlestar rides, Galactica or Millenium. They were all vanilla in the end to me. How much of an effect would it have on the way the algorithm works if for next time I either a) just omitted them altogether and kept a top 20 and bottom 10 for a total count of 30, b) didn't arrange them and just left them randomly placed or c) just assigned most of them a middle number e.g. 25. and then listed the bad ones.
  17. ^ Or mine trains with fantastic views.
  18. 1) Maverick 2) Kawasemi 3) T Express 4) Nemesis 5) Kumba 6) Millenium Force 7)Montu 8) Big Grizzly Mountain Mine Cars 9) Grand National 10) Atlantis Adventure Bottom 5 were mostly headbangers that left me with a migraine: Indiana Jones (seems a popular one here), Rolling X Train, French Revolution, Black Hole 2000 and Stampida. There aren't that many old wooden coasters out here so I haven't been on too many rough ones, I know there's a minority, normally outside of enthusiasts but sometimes not who will whine about RMC touching the classics or even not classics, but looking at peoples posts here there's definitely a lot that could use a RMC refurbishment. A couple of notes: Most of mine are from the U.K./South Korea/Japan with one or 2 from other countries. I love T-Express but seeing Elissa put El-Toro and Balder on her list over it makes me really want to go try those two. Dodonpa would probably have been on there previously since I like it so much I willingly submit myself to Fuji-Q on most trips but I will probably skip over trying out the new version to spend some time at Nagashima trying out my first RMC and a lot more interesting credits on my next trip. Kind of surprised myself on how high I ended up putting Big Grizzly. There are a few just outside my top ten that made me go wow but each time I put Grizzly against them I figured I'd rather ride Grizzly. It just is such fun from start to end and one of my favorite Disney coasters. I don't know if it's different trains or something else but Stampida sucked last time I rode it, which I don't remember it being like on my first visit when I was young. Was surprised how low I put Hair Raiser. It's gone from why are people complaining? to I guess it does rattle a bit but not enough to whine about, to what happened to this ride? I really expect Atlantis to drop fast in my rankings. It's a fun ride, but the waters been off for years and from what I've seen is mostly for effect and doesn't change the ride experience. Looking at rides like Time Traveler and some of the other rides that are twisty rides without the need for massive drops, I feel like there are a few rides out there since Atlantis opened that I'll end up liking for the same reasons I like Atlantis but more.
  19. With something like Galactica at Alton Towers, should I check it for riding it as AIR before the VR? I'm working under the assumption that the VR isn't part of the ranking but just want to check. My sample size is mostly Korea/Japan but figured it'd fill in a form anyway. Just realized i lost ranking one of my favorite coasters since I haven't been on Do-Dodonpa since the conversion.
  20. ^Sorry, I forgot to mention that Woobang Towerland changed the name to E-World sometime after the Sky Jump left the tower.
  21. Lionsgate Movie World will now open 2020 but apparently the water park will be opening in a few months: https://www.shinhwaworld.com/attractions.php?subid=34&url_lang=en_US
  22. ^ Gyeongju World didn't make the area a 3rd gate. It get's a separate tab on the home page to drum up publicity but seems to be part of the park. It was originally Snow Park before the rides were installed due to it being where they keep the snow rubber tube slides but it's now Dragon Valley and also included on the main park site and attractions list. You could probably add Dragon Race (the air racer) and Krake (The 360 degree swing) for that park to the list as well. If you don't mind me making more suggestions for the list E-World also added an Air Race (called air race_ and a 360 swinf (Mega Swing 360) and Jeju has the new park Shinhwa World (https://www.shinhwaworld.com/attractions_filter.php?subid=32&url_lang=en_US)
  23. Ridesims twitter came back from the dead: Makes me hopeful if they are working on a new sim for themagical.nl that more of the old sims may be released to the site. I used to play Mystic Manor, Splash Mountain, Radiator Springs Racer and Star Tours more than any of the other sims and though I was glad to see some resurface on themagical.nl I was a tiny bit bummed none of those appeared.
  24. The Buzz rides have always been separate though. Even in places like Hong Kong or Shanghai where Toy Story Land is part of the same park, they are located in different areas.
  25. Hmmm, an easy cash grab on nostalgia for stupid people that believe anything. I'll be back soon right after I re-create my 2 new gofundme on restoring Ellen's Energy Adventure and The Great Movie Ride. I'll set it to $10 mil to show I'm serious but as long as I make enough to cover my moving fees I'll be happy.
