  1. I will never take lotte world wheeling those bins over as you board Atlantis for granted ever again. I know people will say that a giant train on steel vengeance is completely different from a 8 seater aqua trax but if one of the worlds busiest park can run a ride with the capacity essentially of a wild mouse as it’s signature coaster while personally taking your stuff and keep the line flowing I don’t buy this taking stuff makes the lines much longer.
  2. As I said I wouldn't recommend it since you won't have too much time to look around the parks and will pretty much be in and out straight away but following what you said and your wishes i'll add some more thoughts. Thursday: A quick glance on my bus app shows quite a few stops for the Incheon buses to Everland, since the tour bus will only go once in the morning. I'm not sure where you're staying but I'd still recommend the Gangnam bus 5002 so maybe dump your stuff and go for the bus. From Gangnam station it leaves Seoul traffic almost immediately and goes practically straight to Everland. I follow the TPR rule of choosing fast pass over non fast pass if you're only going to visit once but I'd assume the queues won't be too bad. As I said in first post T Express will close early due to fireworks nearby and if line is super long they'll want to have all riders off before the show. Safari rides close at night for animal reasons but I don't think the safari rides are that special. Seeing the pandas is nice. You can knock that out on the path down the side of the mountain since it's near the entrance and never has a line it would take 5-10 mins out of your day. As you can see they close anywhere from 3-4 hours earlier than the park. Don't get too excited by theses queue times. It's heat wave time and the time of the year when the water park eats Everland's crowds to the point where going to the water park gives you free entry to Everland. Not sure about a couple of laps. Potentially one with a fast pass and one by standby line. It may be running less trains on a weekday night and teenage crowd with the two Halloween mazes being next door will make it a hot spot, I'd say 40-60 min line but Everland is random, there'll be some days the park can be randomly dead so cross fingers. Lines have been down a bit this year. Friday: I've never been to Gyeongju World, it's on my to do list but due to work and family I haven't got around to it, so I can't say for sure but another TPR member did a nice TR recently who you can ask. From what I've seen on Korean bloggers it's lines aren't that bad so you could follow your plan. Although still go to Seoul Station. Even though Gwangmyeong is close on a map, it's actually a branch line of line 1. You'd have to go 1 stop, transfer to another line 1 train, ride down out of Seoul a little then transfer to line 4 and head back to Seoul. Seoul Station you can just hope line 4 straight and it might have more train options for Seoul Station than Gwangmyeong. Lotte World is fine, the rides usually run until 10pm and they never split shift or have to close early like Everland. Potentially you could switch Lotte World to friday and Seoul Land to saturday since it could be quieter but it's city center and they sell cheaper passes at night so the difference might not be that much. The only difference between evening is the park is already busy (It can be dead doing inside rides for first opening hour) and 2 the magic passes will all be gone so you won't be able to fast pass.
  3. DMZ tour, I haven't done it but I think you can go through the USO, it will be in English and you will visit that area you want to. I went through a Korean tour guide and though it was English we didn't get to go to the JSA but we did end up having to go to a Jade factory who pay off that tour guide. Lotte World, I've managed to get through in a half day but that may be because it is my local park. Arrive before opening on a weekday and have the app downloaded to your phone beforehand. You can scan your ticket and reserve 3 rides at opening through the fastpass app for free so you can skip those lines and grab a 4th that morning by jumping in a line before the lines build up. I tend to reserve Atlantis, and mix up the 2 other rides. I'm not a fan of VR so I don't really ride the other roller coaster and you said you don't like spinning rides so not sure you will like Comet Express. I've gotten in the part at opening and left around 2PM riding most rides on a weekday. You mentioned rehab for the coaster. I can't speak for the others but Atlantis nearly always tends to be every other monday which falls outside of your dates. The only connection between Lotte World and Lotte Tower is they are both owned by Lotte. They are seperate gates, you would have to leave Lotte World and go into the shopping mall to buy an elevator ticket up to the observation deck and glass floor. It's not far if you leave Lotte World's inside main entrance and go through the subway station to the mall. Everland is more tricky, I tend to recommend to friends when they visit to go on a weekend. Yes, the park can be dead on weekdays but they make up for that by split shifting the rides sometimes or having 1 ride an area closed completely so for example the top spin could run 10-1 and then the top scan will run 2-8 with other rides in different zones doing this. If I were you i'd book online and pay for a T Express fast pass ahead of time. The only multi hour waits I sometimes see is the Lost Valley safari ride at 90-120 but people run there at opening so it can quieten down around lunch to 30-50 mins on weekends. It's halloween season which is busier so you might be lucky and they won't be split shifting or closing rides completely. Honestly, if you did the park on saturday morning I tend to follow the same game plan. When I visit the park on weekends I do the Safari World first (because most people will run to the other safari ride Lost Valley) instead of T Express which starts most mornings with 1 train ready and they'll add another just after opening but have to cycle it so the queue doesn't move that fast. After that then I head to T Express since they should be done cycling. At that point I get the 4d ride, rotating house and shooting ride done just before the first parade finishes since they can pick up lines later. The extreme rides in the middle of the park are usually dead for some reason on weekends, when families visit, more than weekdays because it tends to be more school trips and teenagers and the split shifts I mentioned hurts capacity and makes the lines longer. Then I just hit Lost Valley around lunch, after the morning rush but before the afternoon ticket people start to come in. Both parks will be a little busier since Halloween is a popular time but it's been years since I see these multiple hour waits that were so common when I first came to Korea. You have the added bonus of coming just after chuseok when a lot of people will have just visited the parks so the time after is a little quieter. I haven't been to Gyeongju World yet, I hear you can do it in a half day but with everything else based in Seoul you are looking at 3 hours each way travel time so it would also be a full day. Honestly everything here could be a full day thing. The city is well known for its ancient tombs, temples and buildings since you asked about other things, although they aren't really my thing so I can't say how fun they are. I think the problem will be the DMZ tour, to do it, it requires a full day, since the half day tour won't include what you want and you only have 2 and a half days to do 3 things. I don't think you could combine it with Everland since even the earliest tour would have you back for 4pm at Yongsan and then you'd have at least 30 minutes of subway to Gangnam, waiting for the bus, 1 hour bus journey and then the park's shuttle bus from the bus drop area to the entrance up the mountain. Best case scenario you'd arrive at 6 and have to beeline to T Express since it will close earlier than the park since it can't be open when the firework show is on. Especially because the parks are busier in the afternoon and even landing at Incheon at midday you still have customs and the trip into the city. You could potentially do a Lotte World morning and Everland evening if you are smart due to long opening hours (if you skipped the tower which is another gate) but you'd be rushing to enjoy the parks and I wouldn't recommend it. Tl;Dr If you really want to push it. Although not recommended. Thursday: Potentially do Lottwe Tower since you mentioned you want to for sunset, or one of the temples in Seoul. Fri: Arrive at Lotte World at opening and reserve 3 rides on the app and head to a 4th. Grab a couple of rides and leave around 1pm. Grab the 5700 bus nearby to Everland and prebook online with a T Express queue pass add-on. Sat: Check this site for dates for the full day DMZ from Yongsan since they can sell out: http://www.koridoor.co.kr/home/goods_view/index.asp?ts=goods_list&strApart=A&strBpart=A&strCpart=A
  4. Source 5 years later and Blackfish is still a thing making news?
  5. There's also a big difference between obviously sarcastic 'Most Extreme Coaster Ever' and channels that want to put dangerous on 1 in every 10 water slide videos. It's the difference between a channel where they let the quality speak for itself vs channels where even when you can see effort and the view is good but not trusting enough in their work to bring in the views. And out of those 2 types I only end up following one of those and watching their videos. Nothing puts me off a good channel more than lying about the ride they've filmed.
  6. ^That one disappeared really early. Before I arrived here in 2010 I think. Feb 2010 the water was drained for the winter and on my next visit and every visit after it was too low to be reached.
  7. Is there a reason parks don't have "swinging door shelves" on the platform like T Express even for 3 train rides like this. It's such a simple design, 3 rows of shelves with two doors that swing with the flick of a switch so the only belongings accessible match the train on the station. Nearly all the people climb across to put their stuff on those shelves and are still sat belted and ready to go by dispatch time. Or is it just a "never in America" thing in terms of people being that organized?
  8. Not sure where else to post this. So I've joked on a couple of threads whenever someone mentions an Aquatrax, that they are a myth and don't exist and there is only the less exciting Trax since, after my 1st year in Korea, I haven't seen the water running on the track. Well, Lotte World has now gone and removed all the sprays from the track. Honestly, I never felt much difference in the ride but news is news.
  9. I don't think I'd have handled being sent to the back of a line that many times, I think finally getting the stuff to find the wrong passes would have broken me.
  10. It's nice to see you don't have to do the mad dash to Toy Story at opening anymore to get a fast pass. I never got a chance to ride it because those fast-passes were gone after I'd got my morning Journey ride in.
  11. Everland have replaced their Mystery Mansion with Shooting Ghost. Gone are the round all facing 4 people cars and physical sets that reacted to the guns replaced with forward facing cars and screens. [youtu_be] [/youtu_be] In other news the polar bear that got Everland in trouble with animal rights people, that I mentioned previously will be shipped to a reserve in the U.K.
  12. I should pay more attention on twitter and not just wait for these reports. I almost missed out on the free video and as I mentioned on the TPR video thread I loved those old music videos back on the original TPR video page.
  13. That new area looks great. I feel like Fuji-Q already has a solid line up that makes it the place for Japanese thrill seekers without too much competition compared to some milder parks. I’d be more than happy to see them pause on new rides and money put on more improvements like that to make the park look nicer for a year or two. With the hospital gone and I think the coffins and that indoor fortress thing they had gone there can’t be too many walk around places left.
  14. I wonder if it will be original or if they will make a copy of ghost galaxy from Hong Kong.
  15. In a week or 2 that 77dollar ticket will be 150 dollars. Also I can pretty much guarantee that flying dinosaur and minions that are timed entry will also not be allowed as alternatives to a regular ride down for maintenance
  16. For those who haven’t been, there’s also the fact that it isn’t just specific rides, even with the most expensive passes they are ‘or’ passes meaning you have to pick a ride and then line up for the ones you didn’t pick and staff won’t let you interchange for closed attractions. So you could be holding a ticket for flying dinosaur that would probably save you 3 hours of waiting on a good day but find it closed and not allowed to exchange it for backdraft with a 50min line because you used that ticket for terminator. I’m using an example because I don’t remember the current line up The flight to Osaka is only 2 hours from here and cheap so we used to go often but we honestly stopped going which is a shame because I love USJ but honestly it wasn’t worth it. We always buy fast passes when we travel but we started to find the cost was so high we’d sacrifice other parks or nice places we wanted to eat. As the park got more popular we found ourselves reserving earlier and earlier and having to shape our vacations around that day. Even with Fuji q we can check the weather and hop the bus on the day and get fast passes on a good weather day anytime we want. Coupled with little things like we were not allowed to use a Jurassic fast pass we paid for because the line wasn’t that long (it wasn’t an or ticket back then) and completely different from the policies we had in Singapore on a single use fast pass and we realised we weren’t enjoying it anymore. USJ was taking over the vacation schedule. Flying dinosaur is really high on my bucket list so I will end up back there at some point but it’s a shame. Worth Robbs description of operations I’m curious if the coasters had opened if they would have let you on past your time slot or left you with a useless ticket because ‘you missed your time slot’ On he subject of no re entry Lotte world has or used to have a no rentry policy. I have a picture of it on TPR somewhere. Before they put fences in the restaurants that share the park and mall I walked out to go grab a bottle of water and the manager chased me down.
  17. The >> and << are great new additions. I felt like I got through reading threads much faster today using those.
  18. I just tried korean shake shack the other day after they started expanding recently. There was one opposite a Wallace and Gromit exhibition so decided to try it out.
  19. A clone of Epcot's boat ride perhaps? Although I'd love to see Tokyo do something with the technology of Shanghai's Pirates ride. Perhaps that will be for Rapunzel's boat ride.
  20. A video of the show. [youtu_be]https://youtu.be/EleWj9Vp_Xk[/youtu_be]
  21. ^I think there's been a couple in the U.K. as a Guinness World Record challenge.
  22. I’m starting to think the parks in my area have it right where they advertise new rides themselves on social media, release an open date, and then pretty much open on that date and if you want t to cover it you’re going to have to get in line. I know they take pictures with riders but I have never seen a media event in Korea, it wouldn’t surprise me if they just used their employees.
  23. It's not even like anyone gets censored here, most of the time I say positive things but sometimes I say negative things in a TR. I feel like people get to be honest and have honest conversations without heavy moderation. Look at some of the threads like SFMM. I've seen some of your comments on parks as well here and there which while full of advice can have negative mentions of places and what not to do (except Knobels obviously.) . It's just basic common sense that if you're representing a business/known name then you behave differently than you would from a regular day. I've been to one or two really terrible events for some jobs and you always stay polite, thank them and say you enjoyed yourself and at most you would then laugh at it privately with co-workers/friends away from the public eye/ businessesreputation.
  24. I asked before but I think it got lost in the flood, do fewer voters tend to skewer the results too much in 1 direction, is that why they aren't included? Just out of curiosity If I was the only person to ride Draken at Gyeongju World and, hypothetically I'm the kind of enthusiast who now feels superior that I have this exclusive credit that nobody else does (because we know they exist) and rank it top would it get bumped to the top of the polls? Ironically enough with my question though, as one of the less than twelve who rated T Express, the only two coasters I put higher than it both still ended up lower on the polls (Kawasemi and Maverick).
  25. Two small minor updates: 1: The online ticketing has become more flexible on queue passes. Before you could either get just the one or had to get the expensive 5 set. Now you can choose from 1-5 depending on how much you want to spend (the panda exhibit almost never has a line). However, you have to specify which ride and can only check each one once (booking for a group would mean either booking each person separate or having the same passes) and each ride is limited to 50 tickets a day. 2: The app now has an English option and a thing called 'Lennie's Chance'. You can earn and use points on time slots for fast passes or reservation only attractions with the most popular rides like T-Express and Lost Valley at 5 points other rides at 4-3 and reservation rides/shows at 1 point. Full disclaimer, my last visit was before this was implemented so i don't know if Lennie's Chance is actually chance based when you use points or a guaranteed pass. I'm also not sure if you can still go to the counters for reservation rides instead of spending points. Foreigners can only log-in with temporary membership for 7 days and are a little more limited.
