  1. 9/20. I never really payed attention to a lot of the other organizations out there. I was involved with a few, but never really found a niche until I came across TPR. Now a TPR quiz, I'd do much better on.
  2. I'm very glad SFM got that coaster. I think it's a great fit for the park. It made sense. Thanks for the update! I'm hoping to get there this christmas time!
  3. Besides the obvious responses of WDW and IOA, ect. I'd have to say one place I was very impressed with was Idlewild. We tried to eat in this one cafeteria style restaurant, with different options, but realized we might be cutting it short with time, so we found a place that hay Gyros. I was floored by how good it was, I had three. I couldn't stop eating them. Now, I've been to Mythos three times now. For it being voted the best, I don't know. It was great, don't get me wrong, but the best? I think the places at WDW are so much better. Epcot Showcase is in a league of its own, of corse, but even the other places in Disney World are fabulous. I would even say Crown Colony at BGT and other restaurants in Busch Gardens Williamsburg and Hershey Park have even left me just as satisfied tummy-wise as Mythos. Just my opinion. It's very difficult to compare restaurants in theme parks, because of all the variety. It's like comparing Millennium Force to Bolder Dash.
  4. ^ I'm not a Green Day fan, in the least sense. But, I too, am looking forward to that album. One of my long time idols, Butch Vig, is producing that album. He's produced for bands such as U2, Korn, Smashing Pumpkins, AFI, ect... but is most notable for producing Nirvana's "Nevermind". He's also the drummer for Garbage. So needless to say, I'm very interesting in hearing this album...
  5. Making an attempt. Wood: 1) El Toro (SFGAdv) 2) Ravine Flyer II (Waldameer) 3) Silver Comet (Martin's Fantasy Island) 4) Shivering Timbers (Michigan's Adventure) 5) Dania Beach Hurricane (Boomers) Steel: 1) Behemoth (Canada's Wonderland) 2) Millennium Force (Cedar Point) 3) Superman (SFNE) 4) SheiKra (Busch Gardens Tampa) 5) Montu (Busch Gardens Tampa) I bounce around with my top three steels though. This is the question I love to hate. [/i]
  6. Hey! Everybody!!! Take a good deep breath in... do it! Now breath out. Feel better? Let's not jump to conclusions because "word on the street" says it to be so. My grandmother used to say: "Believe nothing of what you hear, and half of what you see." I'm sure we'll see things pick back up soon. Worse case sinerio, we wait a few more weeks for it to open.
  7. Cracked Me Up!!!!! I love Publix Elissa, you're from Florida, do you miss it? Minus Publix? I've never been out to the West Coast (will soon), but think that So Cal would just drive me back to Floida. If I move out of this state, it would have to be a bit more drastic. I HATE Miami with a passion. I'm afraid of hating LA for that same reason. Elissa, what are your views on the change from FLA to SOCAL?
  8. I watch them both, rather equally. The reason I joined a trip last year was because of all the random antics and fun from watching the both on the series. Coasters + Fun = Hot Seller. The way I see it, Robb, having both, regardless of what people watch more, is just good PR. I think the footage is what give TPR it's unique quality. That's what separates us from people like the ACErs, ect. You highlight that quality well! Keep it up.
  9. I'm going to start playing the lottery, and by gosh, if I win, count me in. These coasters look fantastic. I'm glad to be apart of the West Coast, but boy do these coasters look fantastic. What you do for us coaster geeks, Robb, is a one of a kind experience, and thank you so much for all you do. If anyone has any thoughts about joining these trips, do it. You won't regret it.
  10. Oh, I forgot one about the Hulk. I sat in the same seat that Will Smith sat in right after he got out. I was in the back row, and the train that pulled into the station had Will Smith in it. He got out, laughed his very famous laugh, and walked out with everyone else. It was funny. His bum is warm.
  11. I was once at Universal Studios and saw Zach Roloff from Little People Big World. He's the little person who's twin is the averaged height one. I didn't see Jeremy the rest of the day, but I swear that I saw Zach Roloff. It's not every day that I see a little person, let alone a recognizable one. I almost said something, but I get shy when I meet celebrities. I never wanna be the dorky one asking for an autograph, and just bugging them. I'm content to gawk.
  12. He's right. In person, the coaster look much more impressive and visually appealing. I didn't get a lot of the hype until I saw this beast in person. It really is a mamoth ride. I think it's about time Universal Studios got a ride (besides Jaws) that is outside. It looks better in person, it really does.
  13. ^Man, the Universal Skyline is forever changed. It's exciting!!!! Looks great!
  14. ^Hahaha "May the Schwarz be with youuuuandyouuuuandyouuuuuu..." You know what I love about Schwarz's, are the helixes at the end. This was interesting because it was an upward helix. Man, this looks great! Great film work too Robb! Glad the three of you had fun! Neil "Spaceballs the FLAME-THROWER!!!" Curiel
  15. ^By God, I can't believe I didn't think of that. But, for argument's sake, do you think they might be going to Thorpe Park for the opening of Saw instead?
  16. It kind of looks like one of the Chicagoland Airports... But most airports look the same now-a-days. But still, my gut said Chicago, and Route 66 dumps out in Chicago. So, My guess is O'Hare Intl'
  17. 11/20. I really surprised myself. I did guess quite a bit, but I knew a lot more than I thought I was going to. Dang ol', dang ol'.
  18. Best New Ride: Behemoth Best Epic Fail: Hard Rock Park Best Spin: Whirlwind (Seabreeze) Best Name: Kumba (I love the fact that it means ROAR and the coaster ROARS... I love the sound of that coaster) Best Class Act: Idlewild. (I thought it was a really down to earth friendly mountain town hospitality. It was cute.)
  19. That single gives me chills. I love it. Sounds like Depeche Mode is on the right track with the single. (Pun intended.) And the new U2 Album is quite spectacular. I reallllly loved How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb. But this one, so far, is blowing that album out of the water. I would say this album is almost up there with War. I've got to give it a few more go through's before I say for sure though. And Morrissey's new album= FREAKING AMAZING. There's so much good music coming out right now, it's BLOWING MY MIND!!!!! Edit: The Official Music Video just got released for Depeche Mode's "Wrong". It is seriously one of the creepiest music videos I've seen in a long time. Wow. Prepare yourself before you watch it. It's killer. It's so good. I just can't get enough "Wrong" - Depeche Mode
  20. ^^ I was talking about the deal in more of a legal sense. What I was trying to get at was what they were buying. The property and the assets (or fixtures) are two separate things. Because it seems that they're buying off the "real property" including the fixtures. They're purchasing everything that makes the Hard Rock Park unique, aka the park. They're buying the property as it is. I'm assuming then, what the HRP actually owned were those fixtures, like Led Zeppelin: The Ride, Eagles: Life in the Fast Lane, Moody Blues the Trip, ect. Sorry if I was unclear in my explanation, and again, I'm no expert in this field. This is just my understanding from the article. Neil "Still just a student" Curiel
  21. ^An asset is something that usually is unique to the name of the operation. For example. If you sell a bar called the Old Jute Box, because you had an old famous Jute Box, that would be your personal asset. Everything else that is fixed to the ground becomes the property (the bar, the walls, ect.) So I think in this case, the company just bought all the assets to the park. The rides, the operations, ect. Not their debt. It seems to me, that they'll be working to just keep things going, not paying back. I could be wrong, but that's what I've come to understand.
  22. Well, you should post more often!!! Excellent job!!! I love the pumpkin shots
  23. I call my home park Busch Gardens Tampa... But I live about 2 hours south. I'm originally from Guadalajara Mexico though, so my original home park is Selva Magica! (Magic Jungle!) They both get my love!
