I don't think it's going up abnormally fast for a coaster being built in Florida/a non-seasonal park. ShieKra went up pretty fast too. I think a lot of the fast construction has to do with the weather down here. We don't have to worry about half the elements the north does. Or maybe it's just Busch and how they build rides. I mean, they are working on Manta 24 hours a day. I'm not too surprised.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm kinda getting tired of the Tatsu/Superman comparisons. This coaster is in NO way like Tatsu and thus I don't get how, even the lift hill, could be compared. I think we all know how the Busch Parks run by now, and they're not always in it to make the craziest and most intense design, they're about the unique factor. Manta is just that... UNIQUE. It is NOT Tatsu and never will be Tatsu. And that's why I love it so very much. Neil "Stick it to the FLAGS" Curiel

That's it. I'm going the 16th! I've lived in Florida most my life and haven't been since they re-opened. I've got to get the credits in before it's too late. -
1) I took a bus to Mexico City from Guadalajara (I too am from Guadalajara) 2)- 3)6 for a six flags park (pretty average), 9 for a Mexican park 4) 7. i didn't get freaked out or anything 5)I live in the US and have spent most of my life here. I am Mexican American and was born in Guadalajara. (It's the best city in Mexico by far) Now, about the danger level: Mexico City can screw you over, but it can also be a very friendly place too. It just depends where you go. Stay downtown and never travel alone. Don't take the taxis, and don't take the public bus. I know, that diminishes travel ideas. Basically, find out if the hotel has a shuttle service. Make friends with the driver and TIP HIM WELL and he will return. Mexico City is all about 'you scratch my back, and I'll scratch yours.' and if not; i'll rob you. Don't get ice in your drinks and be careful with veggies. Oh, and don't worry about dressing german and wearing an australian hat. That's not going to help you. You'll only call attention to yourself. It's not that they hate Americans, it's that they rob easy targets. Mexicans don't discriminate like that lol. The park is a pretty good park, considering the rest of the amusement parks in mexico are basically like our state fairs. So considering the fact that Six Flags Mexico is clean, has safe rides, and is in Mexico is amazing. You'll definitely get all the credits in a day. I do hope you're traveling with someone. Don't go alone. I love Mexico, with all my heart. I've seen some Americans bash it becuase of the conditions a lot of Mexico is in. But to me; that's the beauty of it all. The people are friendly, and as long as you try and communicate with them back, and aren't just a snobb who expects the whole world to know english, then you'll be just fine. enjoy the culture. Have a shot of tequila, don't breath in the air too heavily, and absorb the culture. It's a lot of fun. Hope that helps

^ Yeah, I've been a Florida boy myself for almost 20 years, and still have not been on Kraken OR Journey to Atlantis. I don't know why I haven't been back to Sea World in so long, I just hit up the other parks there. I'm definitely going this next season though. I wouldn't miss this coaster for the world. Orlando's going to be a hopping place in 2 years. BGA needs to get on the ball. Too bad their future is on the hinges.

Yeah, Nothing really stood out to me either. Not really Nitro. I think it was the fact that after riding Behemoth, it just didn't live up to my needs. Like a crack addict's needs. That kinda thing. -

It was like your boob detached from your chest, came up to your face and slapped you because it was pissed you took them on that ride without some major sports bra or better bra support. Girls shouldn't piss their boobs off. HAHAHA. Six Flags GAdv did have one person there willing to help us. When Nitro finally opened back up, and we began to run short on time, one of the ride opps let us go in when we weren't supposed to when we complained about our CRAPP Q-BOT systems. One of my favorite moments from that day was after the first time we did El Toro. Right as we hit the final breaks, Natalie and I were left pretty much breathless as she turned to me with her frazzled hair and proclaimed: "If you weren't gay I'd kiss you right now!" I replied, "I Think I just gave birth." To all you El Toro haters who did Bolder Dash on the East Coast: suck it. Cause I freaking loved this coaster. And I swear, if that day that I finally am able to do Bolder Dash, if it in any way is not what you guys proclaim, I will slap you with Natalie's boob. GOOD DAY SIR, GOOD DAY! Great PTR! We did make the best of that day though, and through the cloudy dark bad times, we did have a ray of sunshine fun poke through. -
From my own experience, from both as an outsider to the group as an insiders I can tell you that you're going to hit a brick wall if you don't anybody personally who is already on the trip. When you meetup with TPR everybody on the actual trip has gotten to know each-other and those little groups are not easily letting someone tag along. Now I don't want to say to everyone not to visit the park when the trip is there, but don't expect that the members will welcome you with open arms into their groups. What hyyyper says is very true. Not to sound like the group is closed minded to outsiders it's just that by even the end of day one, most people have made friends and are hanging out in their groups. It's hard for people who haven't been privvy to the rest of the trip to break into that mold. Now if it's a one-day event like Behemoth Bash for example, then there are a lot of people who are showing up for just the day, and they usually all gel together and that works. But if you are coming on your own to meet up with us, and you can't do the ERTs or the meals, then it is kind of hard to join up with the group as we don't stay together as one large group throughout the day. My advice to you would be to come to the park with a small group of friends, say 2 or 3 people, and "meet" some of the TPR trip members, but don't be too offended if they already have a small group they are hanging with and they are doing their own thing. Does that help? --Robb Also, from my experience on the Behemoth trip, smaller trip groups are a lot closer, and I think even if you had a friend who you were meeting up with, it may be hard to actually "meet up" because they'll make close friends with people, kinda thing. These trips are like summer camps for coaster geeks, and you bond with people so easily. I wouldn't really recommend planning on meeting up with people. Also, plans could change on a daily basis. If it happens, it happens, just think of it that way.

I put in my deposit for West Coast. Anyone else paid? Oh, and I'm considering an online garage sale to help pay for my trip, anyone wanna get in that with me? We'll start a TPR Garage sale! Hizzah, I'm so excited, I could pee! Any Maurer Söhne Spinning Wild Mouses on this trip? Looks like we can reunite the perfect spin now that Natalie's on board for the West Coast. Natalie, would you be interested in a road trip out there? I might be considering it yet again...
