Debuting in Spring 2018: Typhoon Twister, a new water thrill, is heading to Hurricane Harbor in 2018. Typhoon Twister is the latest addition to the 12-acre water park which is offered free with theme park admission. The hybrid coaster joins our other water park thrills of Bonzai Pipeline, and Tornado. Six Flags St. Louis prepares for Typhoon Twister in 2018. Storm chasers will swirl around the 125-ft. whirlpool before being sucked into the vortex and plummeting down the 5-story, enclosed slide. The four-person raft is then shot up a 45-ft., zero gravity wave wall where riders experience moments of weightlessness before sailing back down and shooting out another tube to a splash pool. This hybrid, zero-gravity water slide is an adrenaline rush giving storm chasers two thrilling experiences in one mindboggling attraction. “Six Flags St. Louis takes great pride in offering our guests new, groundbreaking rides and attractions every year. For 2018, Six Flags leads the way in innovation again as Typhoon Twister is unlike any other water attraction, giving riders two completely different thrill experiences in one very intense slide,” said Park President Pete Carmichael. “This one-of-a-kind experience is another big reason why our guests will want to enjoy both the water park and the theme park during their visits next year." Typhoon Twister features four-person rafts that careen wildly into a 125-foot long whirlpool bowl that spins riders around 360 degrees before the bottom drops out, sending guests plummeting down an enclosed five-story drop. Storm chasers will then be propelled up a 45-ft. zero-gravity wave wall to experience moments of weightlessness before falling back down and shooting out into the splash pool below. Typhoon Twister highlights include: A hybrid, zero-gravity drop slide; A 125-ft long whirlpool bowl with a 54-ft vertical drop; A unique 45-ft. high wave wall that sends riders into weightlessness; Cloverleaf tube seats four people all facing each other; and Pumps 300,000 gallons of water per hour. -

My brain cannot process the amount of stupidity that it takes for someone to make the kind of posts that get them banned at a time like this. Let me further explain, not like it will help these morons because if they are not smart enough to understand "Don't post about it until we post about it" this probably won't be understood either, but... Parks have asked us to respect their announcement times, and in turn, we ask our readers or users to do the same. It's not that much to ask, and it's not a difficult concept to grasp. Yes, we understand there may be leaks that happen. Those leaks are usually due to people who have broken the embargo that media outlets are given with time-sensitive material. The part that is damaging and frustrating for me personally, is that when embargoes are broken, parks will be less likely to deliver embargoed content in the future. This just creates even MORE work for us, because not being able to schedule or create our posts using that content in advance means we are having to scramble at 4am to get ALL of the parks information up as quickly as possible. And that is a crazy amount of work in the middle of the night. So please, we ask you kindly, respect the announcement times. I know you'll see the assholes of Reddit and other groups that just simply don't give a crap, but I also don't find them to be respectable groups either. And if you're going to come on our forum and be like those people, we would much rather have you not be part of our forum. Thank you for understanding. --Robb

I'm only going to say this once... Tomorrow is "Six Flags Announcements" day. We will be posting the announcement as soon as the materials are available to us. PLEASE DO NOT POST ANY LINKS OR IMAGES TO THE ANNOUNCEMENT BEFORE TPR DOES! Anyone who does this will be banned forever from Theme Park Review. Let me explain... Posting the new ride information before we can do it actually creates MORE WORK for us as most of the time people who come on our forum and post info about a new ride will do a crappy job of it and then we have to not only do the work we are going to do to make a proper post about the new ride, but also clean up the garbage posts that people make. No one here will get any extra points or look any "cooler" for being "first" to post the information. We aren't about being first we are about having good quality content. Please respect that. Thank you. -

Best Theme Park Show You Have Seen.
robbalvey replied to methos's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I don't suppose you have a video of this do you? Both times I've been at sea paradise the whale shark just followed a bucket of food so guests could get a good look at it and that was it but I might have just been unlucky. I don't, sadly. This was during our 2007 trip, I believe and if memory serves correct we were seeing the show to get out of the rain and none of us expected the whale shark to do tricks and by the time any of us thought to take video, that segment of the show was over. We've gone back to see the show since and they've never had the whale shark doing tricks again.
