Totally agree with you on movie park, I reallly think they are on the right track now. I think the reason it gets more shit than it deserves is because we can all still remember the goog old movie world days. Oh and bandit is horrible, and will remain horrible. Time to burn it to the ground or have RMC have their way with it.

I personally think that Efteling is a park every theme park fan should get to in their life as it is one of the better themed and landscaped parks in the world with some fantastic attractions. That being said, I will say that Efteling tops my list of parks that so many people absolutely love but I think doesn't quite live up to the hype that surrounds it. While I do feel that the park had some amazingly themed areas and rides, I also feel that many things fall short of my expectations and the hype. It's a great park. It's a beautiful park. And I think it would be better if some of its über-fans didn't overhype it. I totally get this! I'm wouldnt call myself a efteling fan but I do love the park since I have been comming there since my early childhood. However I do feel like the parks line-up is rather dissapointing. Many of the older rides are a total disney ripp off, but lack the level of quality theming to realy make it work. Also the lack of flat rides is especially noticable on any buisy day, as lines for the big rides are at least an hour on all of them. The last couple of years they do seem to have stept up their game with aquanura, joris en de draak, de baron and now the New dark ride.

Yes the ride is ruined imo. With the "new" lapbar system there is also a lot less room for your feet and the extra grip handle slams in your upper legs once the lapbar closes down on you. -

I was there yesterday and had a lot of fun riding lost gravity, what an absolute winner for the park. Skipped the slc and also skipped the boomerang. Robin hood was a horrible experience thanks to the lapbar that squeezes down whit every hump you take. -

I'd say it's a little long. Depending on how buisy the park is you can do most of the big rides in a day for sure. -

I know I have a dirty mind but all I can hear is jizz. Allthough that would draw a crowd, im not to sure if I want to ride a coaster named like that, at least wipe the seats first. -

Flying dutchman is actually not much more intense than POTC at DLP, so you should be fine. Vogelrok is basically just a big kiddy coaster, so you won't miss much if you don't like riding coasters in the dark. If you do feel like you want to try something more thrilling. I suggest you try the baron rather than python. Its a lot more pleasant of a ride experience. -

In this case the 'fence' in front of the riders seems to be the thing that caused the most harm. Maybe an even more open design in this case would have saved some legs. I have wondered the same thing about the b&m floorless designs. They do have some kind of a bumper in the front but im not sure if that would hold up in a high speed crash. Besides That, what would happen if someone would have his legs stretched out at the point of the crash. -

I just can't seem to get excited about this coaster. I gues I'm just bummed out that this one won't have the twist while going down. -

The reason Six flags left europe was due to the troubles in american parks. Six flags decided to focus on their core buisiness, the american parks. Most of the european parks didnt do all that bad if i remember correctly. And even if they did, the former european six flags parks are nothing like the american ones. And other american companys seem to do it pretty well in europ... mc donalds, starbucks.. disney? -

I'd like to know if they considered any other manufacturers, or did they go straight to b&m? -

I think this is a great move and I'm sure other parks will follow this trend soon. Allthough I'm a little concerned about the gear, I'm sure there will be issues, I'm sure people will take of the gear during the ride.. But money is to be made, so I gues parks won't be to concerned. -

About the pre show(s). The eftling has stated earlier that the ususage of (dutch) language will be minimal. This is because they are trying to make the park and the attractions more appealing to international guest. So I'm expecting a sort of "de vliegende hollander 2.0 queue". With some effects waiting and we know there will be at least one animatronic. I'm not expecting a RNRC type pre show. The ride itself is a little dissapointing to me for the lac of thrill and the overal shortness of the track. Bit I'm totally inlove with the lifthill. Is this B&M's firt "custom" lifthill/support design? -

Thats nonsense. The european six flags parks didn't fail. The american parks did, six flags corp sold of the european parks to focus more on their original market. European parks in general focus more on family entertaiment, but that's not to say that parks who focus on teens are helpless (thorpe park, walibi world).
