  1. If you have to go searching for it, don't worry about it, it's not that important.
  2. Hey Robb.. hope your having a wonderful holiday season, I was wondering if you could post a couple of videos if you have them. 1. The Great American Scream Machine 2. Son of Beast if you have these that would be great if you could post them. Thanks!
  3. I never rode the coaster, but saw many different POV videos and it really looked like a rough ride. this first drop looks like one of those kind of elements that cause you to slam your head back and forth between the restraints!
  4. Hey I would be happy with that move, it needs a paint job bad.
  5. Still to this day, the big turnaround on the Eagle is always my favorite part of the ride, you always get air on that hill! its a shame that they removed the hill that followed that one and replaced it with a straight run up to the last turn.
  6. The 3rd hill on the Screamin' Eagle at SFSTL, when you hit the bottom of that hill itls like you pick up extra speed.. the third drop on Viper (SFGA) after the turn around. you get some great air on that one.. the 4th drop on the Boss (SFSTL) right after the break run..
  7. I seem to remember in my Revolution thread that someone mentioned that it was going to get repainted for the new year. doubt if they remove the OTSR's though.. I think they need to restore it to it's original glory!!
  8. Nice TR---I give you 2 thumbs up... The first time I went to Magic Mountain, it was the middle of January, and it was soooo cold riding those roller coasters!
  9. here is a raging bull POV http://retrorizz.com/bull1.mov
  10. I remember when admission to Six Flags St. Louis-- was 7.95 and a season pass was 14.00 parking was only 3.00!! and a full meal didn't cost you 30.00, and you got to ride a tram to and from the parking lot.
  11. you guys are having way too much fun, but keep it up, it makes for great soundtracks on coaster vids! I especially like the launch guitar!
  12. Although they built a killer roller coaster with the Boss a few years ago, there is nothing better at my park than the Screamin' Eagle! built in 1976 this coaster still packs everything a coaster nut could want... steep drops, quick turns, airtime... what more could you ask for...AND to make things even better, they are actually re-tracking it to make it all new again!!!
  13. I remember when we used to have this coaster called the Jetscream, it was the first looping coaster I was ever on. but alas it got sold and moved...
  14. So after I started the thread about the Revolution, I noticed a bunch of responses from the older generation of coaster fans, and then it got me thinking.. For the members here that rememeber the amusement park going experience of the 70's, what are some of YOUR fondest memories from going to your favorite park when you were growing up.. it could be favorite ride, store, restaurant, etc..
  15. Great article on the Revolution, will have to keep my fingers crossed on hoping that they restore it it's original state... for those of you who haven't ridden the Revolution, I have a POV of the Revolution posted, here is a link to it http://retrorizz.com/revolution.mov this is not the from the 70's, this is a more recent video..
  16. great coaster! how long did it take you to build that coaster?
  17. So I was scouring the web for some cool shots of the Revolution, and a friend of mine sent me a really cool shot that I hadn't seen before.
  18. when I was a wee little lad of about 8, my first coaster experience was the Riverking Mine Train--or Runaway Mine Train at SFSTL
  19. I'm going to have to go along and say Woodies give great air! I have gotten more airtime from them then steel ones.. One of my favorite woodies that have some great airtime is Viper at SFGA pictured below..
  20. My first looping coaster was the one in the picture below, but when I rode it, it was a light blue color, it was located at Six Flags St. Louis, and it was called the Jetscream... although it was a fun coaster, it didn't last long at all before it was removed to make room for a silly dance club, then it became the station for Batman the Ride...
  21. Powerdrop rides make me very nervous... but then when I actually do get on, its fine...
  22. Rob you Rock!! Thanks Rob, man that coaster is great! must get out and ride that one!
  23. well alright, it looks like somethings started here.. I'm glad I'm not the only one who would like to see a Mind Bender POV...
  24. Hey Rob! gotta say I love the site, it's one of my favorite places on the web.. I was checking out the videos, and was wondering if you had an on ride video of Mind Bender at Six Flags over Georgia? I have been a fan of this coaster for quite some time even though I haven't had a chance to ride it. I have seen partial video's but not a full one, I checked out all of the DVDs that I have from you, and it's not on any of the ones I have.. Thanks in advance!
