Thanks for the report, one day i'll visit this park.. one day i will..

From the HansaPark Newsletter: link Looks like HansaPark will be getting a new Familie coaster for 2011. Minimum height would be 1 meter and it would be Viking themed. More info on this new ride will be available in a future newsletter. Opening date is not known yet. This due to weather experiences from the last year and possible delays due to this. Looking forward to more details.

Miss you to. It's like life goes from one TPR trip to the next one.. and everything in between.. doesn't matter.. or does that sound just wrong? Going through all the pictures for these updates makes me go through all the emotions again.. and darn it.. i wish i could do all the trips that are offered.. At least there are still some pictures left...

These updates are suck a tease for a future China trip.. Guess i'd better start saving money

so many things come to mind at the moment.. (although i'm not always sure who started what..) anyway..

^i'm not 100% sure but as far as i know they can run a different length if they need to. So for Oktoberfest they would use 3 trains with maximum length while for the Wurzburg they could run 2 trains with 5 cars. Hope this helps. Regarding Piers.. can't wait to hear his reaction when he looks on the board and will see all these updates and videos. Should be fun

Time for the next update: Day 3: More Worlds of Fun (and especially Prowler) After getting in most of the credits the night before today was a nice and relaxing day for me. There was a nice walkback for Prowler with some very unique photo ops (i feel) So there will be plenty of pictures for all the fanboys. Personally i love these walkbacks, the more time i get to spent in backstage areas the more i appreciate all the effort that goes into running parks (and coasters) and yeah.. i could spent the entire day just taking pictures of people having a great time while riding coasters. Trying to find that one amazing/unique angle/picture is always fun and challenging. enough said, here's a selection of the pictures of day 3. Hope you like them is it time for Halloween yet?? point a finger to a ride.. enter the park it looks so much different with light hmmmm ok, so what are those round thingy's?? pretty train so many thing come to mind... caption contest time?? nerd shot time nerd shot times 2 look who was here it's ok to scream yeah, looks like fun check it out if you're there creditwhoring time i've seen this before... ehmm Wonka a proud father and a happy child, how awesome is that ok, time to start walking.. are you ready?? owh look at that hands up ladies, hands up nerds travelling fast and close to the ground putting a smile on everybody's face while doing it's tricks but wait.. there's more ehmm, all kinds of ways to get a picture of yourself and the train in the background.. here they come again somebody lost something?? see there's more trying to get that one amazing image trying to get that one amazing image 2 going up ehmm, ladies?? what, you want a picture of me?? sspppeeeeeeeddd holding on.. did anybody say air?? lifthill structure and people around it heading for that onride camera something trees flying through the structure worlds of fun ok, why do some of those dudes look like they are terrified while the chicks are having a blast.. whats in the water?? love the hair sideway forces make me smile what a joy getting ready for the way back.. trying to get that one special and amazing looking image.. bye bye train love the glasses it's always fun to see how the kids enjoy the ride, let me know what the first thing was that captured your eye in this(and the following) image(s).. for me it was the kid in the front row same question, dad sitting next to the kid same Q, lady in the middle holding on (second place to the white hair) last Q, the kid with the amazing look of fear in his eyes.. first drop image first drop close-up prowler, fun ride time for some home stretch images almost there folks some familiar faces thanks for reading, hope you enjoyed it.

I'm pretty sure it's still open since it's a single car train.. and as far as i've read/understood it's the connection between the 2 cars that might be a problem..

^thanks for confirming i was just a little worried since it was 1 am when posting that update and i remembered another meaning to a word which sounded pretty similar to "beaver" so yeah.. just wanted to be on the safe side..

it's nice that they are apparently painting the thing.. But to be honest.. i'll have to wait and see when it will (if) reopen... I have not been able to find anything official just yet, and as far as i'm aware there is no train onsite.. It looks nice (and promissing) but i''m just going to wait and see..

Ok time for a new update. Day 2 Dollywood. After all the good stories i've heard about this park and the experience of Silver Dollar City (on the other trip) i was looking forward to a nice relaxing day at Dollywood. First time visit and it did not disappoint. Some good coasters, a very nice show and lots and lots of food for everybody. Here's a selection of the pictures i took during the day, hope you like them. Feel free to comment. Glad i'm there as well had some time on my hand and tried to be arsty... time to move on, i just loved the amount of tres around random things along the way kind of reminds me of home.. first stop.. Tornado time up close and personal with trains, wheels and all the other things around look, there's the other half of the group.. hmm start the train time to check out the brake run.. which gives a very nice view of the next stop lifthill through the trees. nice view and lots of fun steel time to head back respect and test run.. here we go (in a blur) that's more like it it's ok to smile folks train going up.. looks pretty close to 90 degrees loop (and tree) and people trying to get that one amazing picture.. ehm.. don't you need that part for something else?? time to move on, this looks like a lot of fun.. through the trees.. (this is getting old as a "joke" ) special kids area for training purposes hmm, rocks and water.. were is everybody?? beaver.. (did i spell that correct?) ok, looks like some folks made it up the structure.. yes.. water time.. awh.. looks like score for the water.. just a little wet, thanks for playing so many routes and options to chose from owh wait.. there's a camera person down there.. concentrate this part looked like fun as well ehm.. why so serious?? routes and routes and options and.. more water and a chicken.. one way?? ehm?? ok, time to move on and check out the rest of the park there was so much to look at.. hmm, sounds like fun. maybe i should join more water (and awesome food inside) tsjoo tsjoo more food awh.. there's a line.. good advice this just looks impressive from this angle.. long hair, big eyes, upside down.. yeah.. fun smile if you like it Thunderhead time empty train.. full train.. keep those hands up in case you get bored.. you can study as this might be handy someday.. hsppy riders ok, whats going on in those brains on the front row.. love the kid do i need to add anything to this?? mystery mine why so sad?? there's always time to whistle that tune.. rain.. it sometimes makes me very happy showtime, whatever you do.. don't miss this show so much is happening all the time fly baby fly strike a pose the mystery looks even more mysterious when the clouds gather for some more rain...

No. Benefit of this one is that it was easier to get pictures of.. where as the the one at KD did not have that many opportunities.. to me.. the kD was way more fun (i like intense) if i want to float around.. i could ride this all day long.. but i don't want to float around.. It felt like a bigger Behemoth or even a bit like Silver Star.. so to sum it up.. i have to agree with Elissa

^ thanks for the story, i'm glad i could be of service to you anyway.. Day 2 wasn't finished just yet. We got to spent a couple of hours at Worlds of Fun before the park closed that evening. We would be back the following morning for some more time at this park. Here's a number of pictures i took that evening. More pictures from Worlds of Fun will follow in the next update. Welcome owh boy owh boy owh boy, the toys are coming out fo the dark fun summer lights.. fire can be fun behind the scenes yummy another coasters (with AC) and a dj booth outside it's dark trying some new things... ok, those are plenty of lights.. more pretty lights going round in circles.. (yeah i failed at capturing the building..) to end the night ERT on this fun ride, more pictures will follow later on...

Thanks for the comments, Here's an answer to your questions. I walk around with a slingshot bag. This fits my main camera with 18-105 lens on it, a 70-300 lens and some extra stuff (like video camera, batteries, memory cards, sunblock, wallet etc etc etc) I usually have the 18-105 on the camera and if i see a good spot for taking coaster pictures i'll put on the 70-300. The size of the bag makes it possible to fit in those nice things you sometimes have to pay for at the stations, so no worries there when riding. If these are not available i'l just leave the bag at the side of the station (with all the other bags) or in a bin when available. It's got a big nametag and i hope/feel most people are in a park to have fun.. and not.. a well.. anyway.. i'm not worried about leaving the bag while riding (and i do have some decent tarvel insurance (i think)) hope this helps and answers your questions.
