  1. I've only been on five so I won't vote in the poll, but out of those five (Riddler, Tatsu, Scream, Batman, Silver Bullet), Riddler is far-and-away the best. It just occurred to me... why is this in the random section?
  2. I completely love them. While the floorless nature only affects the view in the front, I still enjoy not having my feet rest on anything in the other rows of the train. No matter where I'm sitting, it still makes me feel more free.
  3. "Change Your Mind (Live)"- Sister Hazel
  4. Awesome video, Robb! Definitely thought it was cool how many one second long clips fit with the lyrics right at that moment. I can't imagine how much work that takes! Well done. I've purchased my copy.
  5. Yeah, when you look back at Schumi's Silverstone crash in '99 and Luciano Burti's '01 Belgium crash, I feel like Heikki's crash really makes a statement about the safety. It's pretty remarkable that he came out practically uninjured. I'm definitely disappointed that Nico's engine let go. I can't wait for that kid to catch his big break. It's bound to happen sooner or later.
  6. Scott, I ask once more, why do you rock so hard? Awesome TR, dude. You have hooked me up, yet again. Looks like it was a good time. I miss that park so much. I have got to get back there sometime this year. And I must say, in the picture, it definitely looks yellow.
  7. "Hot Soft Light"- The Hold Steady
  8. Go to Indiana Beach. Yeah, I know you can't use a CF or SF season pass, but I would think the gas you'd save from not driving to St. Louis would cover it. It's about 20-30 minutes off I-65, which is what you'd want to hop on in Louisville to ride all the way up to the southside of Chicago. That's my suggestion.
  9. Paul, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Though it doesn't look like anything mind blowing, it still looks like a pretty solid ride! And I'm warming up to the new train style. It doesn't seem quite as bad as I initially imagined. Well done, man! Thanks for the sweet photos and POV.
  10. Like Wes once suggested, I'm still waiting for Baby SCAD Tower.
  11. That's awesome! I get a kick out of her random giggles. Oh, it's already been done! Last time I saw her, Robb demonstrated Baby Intamin 1st Gen and she loved it!
  12. I still remember being about 8 years old at a race and having one of my dad's friends say, "I need to go let my Dick Trickle."
  13. ^Yeah, that's what I was thinking. It's either for the '09 attraction, or the 12th rider.
  14. I'm going to guess that #6 DOES have an "I" somewhere, which would give: NANTIMI LIVES ON or INTAMIN LIVES ON
  15. ^Here you go. Look in the yellow circle. L
  16. 4-1? I like those odds. I'm going to guess she either dropped the "L" word, or got mad at you because you didn't rent a Bentley for the date. No, really, that sucks dude, and I think you're right on the money with those percentages. No matter how great I think somebody is, it always seems to dissolve. Keep you're head up though. There's still the 101st percent that is actually sane and wants to boogie.
  17. Yeah, call me crazy, but given that they are hinting at a water attraction for next year, I think Natalie might be on to something with her "MINNESOTA" discovery. After all, Minnesota is the land of 10,000 lakes. Maybe I'm digging too deep though.
  18. While I've never been a fan of flash pass-type systems, I'm usually not one to argue that they are unfair, because usually, they are. In this case, they are still fair for the users, but really screw over everybody else. I have no problem with Flash pass users getting to choose their row, however, it's not cool at all when it becomes exclusive. Once you start eliminating traditional opportunities to regular guests, then a big problem arises. I really hope this isn't a policy that is going to be spread throughout the chain. I'm curious to find out if Shapiro has anything to do with this, or if it's an SFFT management decision. Either way, it makes me even more disappointed with the park. By the way Robb, here is the trip report from when Tyler and I went to the park. There's a little extra at the bottom of this update as well. I completely expected the park to be busy, given that it was a Saturday on spring break, but as Tyler said, the staffing and operations were horrible. We visited SFOT a week earlier, also on a spring break Saturday, and the difference was night and day. Plus, the coasters that we got on at SFFT were really underwhelming. I'm trying to write the experience off given that it was just one visit, but either way, it was an extremely disappointing day.
  19. Has he ever ridden a coaster that wasn't one of the best he's been on? I just thought it was hilarious that he called it "ass-smooth."
  20. Kong at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. End my passion where it started (Hangman at Opryland).
  21. Well, I had always thought that paper bags had fallen by the wayside, if that tells you anything. I generally use the plastic bags for dirty clothes on trips, or as trash bags in smaller trash cans.
  22. Pssh... Come on, Scott. I'm disappointed in you. It's obviously Kevin McHale.
  23. But even on its 'good days,' the ride is still nothing but a bastardized version of what it was during its pre-trim days. It's incredibly disappointing how much the trims ruin that ride. As for the Behemoth valley, it doesn't really surprise me, given the owner. I hate to be one of those people, but I'm now going to be extremely skeptical about KI's new coaster. If it's going turn out to be a ride that just barely creeps over the hills, then I think I'll just stop complaining and be satisfied with receiving pass-me-down coasters.
  24. As much as I'd love to see the Big Dipper get saved, I find it hard to believe that CP would turn out to be the rescue crew. 1) When has Cedar Fair/Cedar Point ever cared about tradition and history? They are the same people that couldn't even be bothered to come up with a respectable business plan to keep Geauga profitable in the first place! After four years of neglect through their embarrassing game plan, they just gave up and closed the place. 2) Where are they going to put it? The park is out of land as it is. Big Dipper isn't a monster of a coaster, but there still isn't a really good place to put it, not without removing rides. And that brings up the argument of why would the park remove rides for an 80 year old wooden coaster, when they could use that plan to build the next gimmicky, record-breaking coaster? In which, the debate goes back to argument 1. Maybe I'll eat my words tomorrow... who knows. If I do, I'm sure my ingested words will do me well, because I'll need some nourishment after I crap a brick.
  25. Without further specification... people try too hard. Also, my university is completely hanging me out to dry as far as registration goes. Thank you, sir. May I have another.
