  1. Teacup style wild mouse. You control how much you spin= Elissa Approved.
  2. Wow, that flume looks awesome. I love the looks of the new(I'm gonna say flier) but maybe invert.
  3. I so wish I were going. I am not able to go, cause Inglewood is 2 hours away from my house and I just got my license. I so wanna see Slipknot, but at least will be seeing KSE,BFMV, Slayer, Marilyn Manson at mayhem. BTW Themeparkman: It stands for Disney's California Adventure, referring to the possible opening of World of Color as well as the opening of Little Mermaid: Ariel's Adventure. **** it all, **** this world, **** everything that you stand for. MAGGOT 4 LIFE
  4. Why does everybody thinks that real good and high class food in a restaurant is crazy expensive? you first have to take a look at the costs that are there to run a restaurant before complaining about the prices! You cannot compare prices you pay for your groceries at the supermarket with prices you pay for the same stuff at a restaurant! Example: Before a Restaurant can serve a meal, it has to pay the rent for the real estate! then you have to pay the bills for: electricity, the waste disposal, the water, and so on and so on... Then, every week, all your employes want their money!!! And not the employees salary wants to be paid, there is also the tax on it, the insurance, and so on, and so on... You need Tableclothes, laundry-service for the tableclothes, fresh flowers on the tables, candles, straws for the drinks, and so on and so on, ....costs about cost. If you run a good restaurant, you always need the freshest and best ground products you can get, and man, I can tell you, they are really expensive!!! And last but not least, you want to earn money by yourself, and that´s not so much when you compare it how hard, how many hours and how many days you work for your business. Believe me, I know what i tell you I run 2 restaurants by myself and the third is supposed to open this spring! ...you can´t hate Ramsay, he´s a Icon, just see what he has reached! He came from nothing and is now one of the world bests chefs and he´s a awesome smart businessman, too. I agree with everything you say, and agree that food prices will and should be more than you pay for at a store. I am just saying that the food will be very expensive. It is a very high quality restaurant with some very high quality food, so I completely agree with you that the price is worth it. Also, I don't mean for his ethics and perseverance, I have a lot of respect for Ramsey, and agree that he is an awesome smart business man. I just am not sure I would like his personality, I am sure he would be very intimidating to meet, just seeing how he is on TV. Off topic for a second. How did you quote parts of what I was saying without quoting the whole thing?
  5. I did a search and nothing came up, so if this is already a thread I apologize. Apparently Disney is working on an inverted coaster themed to the laugh room in monsters inc. jimhillmedia.com/blogs/jim_hill/archive/2008/07/21/monday-mouse-watch-get-ready-for-wdw-s-monstrous-new-coaster.aspx I think this sounds like an awesome project, but wonder who will build it. I guess Vekoma is the most likely choice, because arrow is out of business. I am pretty sure this was confirmed, as it was said that(pre construction) has begun. Anyone have any information or know anything? This sounds like an awesome ideas and all around concept. Especially with the scream canisters.
  6. Welcome to TPR!!! That was an awesome photo TR. Just out pf pure curiosity, where did you get that shot of HRRR? I have never seen a construction picture that close. It looks great! I am thinking 2010 is gonna be huge for parks. Harry Potter as well as a lot going on at DCA. Hopefully I can get out to Florida sometime in the next few years.
  7. Your buildings are awesome, and I agree with DBru, I think you need a family coaster. Can't wait for the next update. The Ghost!
  8. Its also crazy expensive. I bet your friend hates Ramsey. I was watching kitchen nightmares, and, there was a restaurant in New York that was failing. They went to the London(Chef Ramsey's restaurant ) and apparently the refrigerator and pantry are cleaned and restocked every day! That is so crazy, I wonder how much food they waste. Of course, I am sure the restaurant has been overbooked before, so they probably don't waste too much food. Ramsey Rocks ^^ I kind of think that would take away a lot of the shows appeal.
  9. A thread about anything and everything involving hells kitchen. Am I the only one who finds this show crazy addictive? I love Gordon Ramsy, just due to his intensity and fury. I don't know my favorite person yet, but I know that the chick named Lacy should leave. What do you guys think, or post your favorite Ramsy quotes.
  10. Smash Mouth- Still for the one song that was the biggest thing from the 90's. NSYNK! No Strings Attached- A birthday present from my sister. Song on my Ipod: Fergalicious/ London Bridge
  11. What coaster is that in the last shot, and what kind of trains are those. Judging by the track, it looks like a mine train coaster. I have never heard of Playland, or seen the tiger before, so I have no idea what park that is. Awesome Pictures.
  12. Looks nice, but so did Dubai. Keep it up this time. BTW the Schwarzkoph looks really good and realistic!
  13. Here is the Run to The hills 2, another rough draft. I have never custom supported a wooden roller coaster before and need advice! Do you guys like the new logo? run to the hills part deux.nltrack
  14. Not to mention that all three movies budgets were under $200 million. ...$300 million for a movie is just ridiculous IMO. This movie better be a success or else Waterworld will have to step aside. I LOVE WATERWORLD I hate that it got such terrible reviews.
  15. ^ Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. Most of the original Knott's family's rides were nicely themed, or a least felt like they belonged their. Now, we have pony express killing the charm of WWW. Bigfoot used to be some awesome looking and so separated. Now when you ride, all you see is red track everywhere. 1000th post
  16. That looks awesome. Probably the best flume I have ever seen.
  17. That is the plan as of now, I have an idea, and am playing around with it, but will take your advice and get a lot done.(at least landscaping and some buildings) I will not loose inspiration, however, as it is a recreation. We'll see if it becomes a reality, but it will probably take a while. It is of a pretty small park, so I should be okay.
  18. YOUR DRUMMER IS FRICKEN AWESOME!!!! Which one are you on the band? My best advice. BE LIKE THESE GUYS IF YOU ARE A BLACK METAL BAND, also add a little more Guitar and play fast and loud, your guitarist is talented from what I hear, but he needs more fast solo's. I'm not telling you to be stupid like Dragon Force and make music you cant actually play, but add a few more quick solos and riffs. For some reason you remind me of DETHKLOK and that's a good thing! Keep it up. If you do not like scary music do listen! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=49ZJqqrr6jk&feature=related Add a little more guitar and a little more mosh stuff. You guys reming me of Dethklock for some reason. BTW You guys kick Michael Junior's(my grandma's favorite singer from Belgium)ASS, and then mutilate him like a giant blender. MAY METAL NEVER DIE
  19. Hah! I've got you beat! The GhostRider of that opening year is/would-still-be my favorite coaster. And while Wes has a point in regards to the general fall in Mitch's poll of CCI's, I am going to lay some blame at Cedar Fair's feet. Their Achilles heel as a company seems to be engaging in self-fulling prophesies. They don't don't focus on theming because their theming doesn't come out well. And they don't like wooden coasters because they get too rough. Rumor has it that they wanted to kill GhostRider when they first came in and build a hypercoaster instead. Seems like it would have been a good idea now, doesn't it? It's funny how "smart" they are. It would not have happened, GhostRider was built a little more than a year after the Knotts family sold the park. A roller coaster takes a lot of planning, so they must have been working on it for at least a good year, cause I'm sure they began working on the layout and stuff. Ghostrider may be tall, but it has a storyline(kind of) it has a little theming, nothing major, but not a complete lack of charm. The Knott's family would never have allowed a hyper at knotts, same as I'm 90% sure if they were still in charge there would be no Accelerator. Also, remember, the buyout was pretty clear, because Knotts used to be an awesome family park with an awesome atmosphere, now its a credit stop, nothing more, nothing less. In my opinion that's Cedar Fair's downfall(from a theming enthusiasts opinion) they think every park is a Cedar Point and that a lot of coasters will fix everything. That may work in some places, but in So Cal why would people go to Knotts as a family when we have Disneyland and DCA, two of the finest parks in the country(yes, DCA fits in that category in my opinion) and you have SFMM, the park with the second highest number of roller coasters in the world. They should never have touched Knott's, it provided a charming experience(who remembers the awesome old days of Scary Farm before the buyout) That's my rant/two cents about CF in general. Just have Herschend, Disney, Universal, Busch/Inbev buy them all. The In a Perfect World Ghost
  20. Looks great so far. 5 POSTS AWAY FROM 1000
  21. That was... GREAT!!!
  22. That coaster was nearly flawless. The only problem I had with the ride was right before the MCBR, I got a face full of tree. The air was great, it reminded me a lot of Ghosrider in its glory days. 9/10
  23. I rode it during first year operation. And it was a GREAT ride. It was awesome.
