Disneyland: The Long Version
the ghost replied to Erik Johnson's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Awesome, probably the best video of my all time favorite park. Just out of pure curiosity, is the theming in the line of Dueling Dragons better? or is the theming in Indiana Jones's line better? I always thought Indy was best, but recently I saw pictures of dragons line, and the theming was very impressive. -

That was seriously the most hilarious TR I have ever read. Also, did you see anyone have deep fried pepsi? or is that a misleading sign? Also, please tell me you saw no one eating chocolate dipped bacon. The I WANT SOME HUMMER CAKE Ghost -

You guys living near awesome wooden roller coasters are so lucky(until memorial day, when we finally get one.) I find it extremely sad that I consider Ghostrider to be my number one wooden coaster(despite current condition of the ride) and colossus is my number two. It sucks. At least I have California Screamin and a Disney AP to warm my spirits. -
No, the snow fort is not being scrapped, I'm just making it with different scenery. Also, a few days ago I noticed what looks like a zero G roll, and one of my friends called me yesterday and said the first loop was up, it will all be in tomorrows update. Also, there was a sign near the front of the park with this image on it. It said at the bottom of the sign, be ready for a wild ride down some steep slopes.

I LOVE SHRIMP That looks awesome, although, my culinary tool of choice is the microwave.

I went to Knotts when I was like 4 (the good days of the park) with my grandparents and wanted to ride jaguar, so I asked my grandpa who was in his mid 60's at the time and he said the ride was too scary.(I did not really get the concept that older people are more fragile, and my grandma had/has parkinsons)I had a fear, until I rode Jaguar the following summer with my dad, and loved it. I was really upset a few months later when I went to SFMM with my Dad and discovered I was not tall enough for any of the large B&M's. That was also the only trip which I have ever chickened out on a roller coaster(Superman the Escape) which I rode a few years later and really just felt like it was pointless(still feel this way) We then went back the next Summer and went on my second or third(at the time number 1) favorite coaster, Riddler's Revenge. A few summers later we went to Busch gardens and I rode Apollo's Chariot and Alpengeist (both still in my top 10) and was completely hooked. I am addicted to coasters and have been on Screamin at least 50 times and will never be bored of it. I am (hopefully) going on a TPR trip within the next few years, but don't know how or when the moment is right. If my family goes to Africa next summer for a mission trip, I can hopefully get some money from them, because I can't go due to college, and go on a coaster trip. In other words: COASTERS ROCK!!!

I spent the day at Disneyland, and according to a park employee, Fantasmic will be closed for a few months for refurb, and a new dragon is expected. -
LOL You have an awesome sig. Those chocolate covered strawberries and the Tiramisu look awesome. Like everyone else has said, this is an awesome thread! If you have the time, keep the recipes coming, and maybe someday, I will be able to make something besides cookies(still more than Joe can make) but that's not saying much.

Photo TR: Hard Hat Tour of Busch Gardens' Forest of Fun
the ghost replied to cfc's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
LOL, I still cant believe they would have let her ride the death mouse at Quassy. Of course, Matterhorn does not really have a big height requirement, yet I honestly consider it to be the least kid family ride in the park. The Yettie used to traumatize me, and the track is so crazy and rough but not painful. Anyway, back on topic. The new section looks really good, particularly the grover coaster, which looks like fun for a kiddie coaster. -
I know, but it is based off this picture my dad showed me of him and his friends. My dad is from Colorado, and he has a picture of him and his friends around a snowfort made of packed snow. This will (hopefully)look a little better with some landscaping. I can scrap the snow fort and use the igloo walls. Next update will probably be on Sunday, or Monday at the latest.

Since you guys have been such valuable readers I will tell you why the Rapids ride did not open. This is phase one of Dear Mountain Ski Lodge, the parks first themed section of the park. The original plans for the origin al B&M coaster have been changed to fit the theme. It will probably be called Double Black Diamond due to color. The log flume is themed to a bobsled run! Also, there will be major landscaping work throughout the park in this weekends update, including more mountainous landscaping for this area. Does this maker more sense?

I'm kind of pissed at park management/ inside information from a source. The parks log flume was scrapped, and Sugarpine log flume is currently under construction. It is very family oriented, and, for Six Flags its ok, but is no where near up to par with Do Right and Splash Mountain. B&M TRACK WAS SPOTTED! SCR359.BMP HELL YEAH!! SCR360.BMP Underground section, I wonder if this will be modified for Frightfest? SCR361.BMP It's kind of stupid but okay. The lift hill is designed to be themed to a snow fort. It is good for SF!

I find most wooden coasters painted traditional colors(a lighter brown) beautiful. Being from California, you should know, Ghostrider looks amazing from above, and once was. But after a ride on that thing Cyclone also looked great from above and that was awful. I have the highest hopes for this coaster, but I have heard BB has not been running well, and this coaster and BB are the only non GG hybrids. I have high hopes, but I just don't see too bright of a future, especially considering this is China's forst woodie. Just my personal opinion.

What is your local park?

But, would you really rather not have a new GCI? My home parks Knotts Disneyland Wild Rivers Auto Park-employee for two seasons. SFMM about 1.5 hours away. -
This thread is inspiring me to make a midnight snack!

[RCT2] PARC Paradise
the ghost replied to DBru's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
The rapids look awesome, and so realistic. To get rid of the blocker things do you just use a trainer and zero clearances? -
First of all, if Disney wants to they will expand. World of Color will keep people in the park for at least a good while. There is never a good reason for people to stay at DCA at night, I mean, the electrical parade is cool and all, but that thing is never Illuminated. I am thinking(just a hunch) that world of color is going to be much more like Illuminations, and, Disney has never had a bad water show. I have seen DLR's Fantasmic, and have also seen Illuminations and found them both to be totally awesome. In my opinion, Fantasmic is my favorite show at any park, and, how many people do you see waiting for hours for fantasmic for hours? There are tons of people, and, the little mermaid restaurant is getting a viewing area just like the Epcot pub. Besides, nothing would look good where the water currently is, and all the boardwalk theming would have to be taken out.
