I asked Robb once and I was pretty shocked at how much it costs to run this site. It is IMO tied for the Very best site out here (www.rcdb.com being the other) although they are completely different sites. I have never seen 2 people so dedicated to something they lose soo much money on to provide the community with the very latest media and info and to provide them FOR FREE is beyond the call and I thank them very much. Also I encourage anybody who has not already to buy video's, shirts, donkeys, whatever to help the Alvey's keep this site the Very best site out there. Once again Thanks for this great site Robb & Elissa and everybody that helps to keep it the best on the net. JEFF

Tonight I went to PKD to take some pics and video at night and luckly Italian Job was testing at night (Video will be posted later). No pics of IJ running just video but some of these pics turned out awesome...especially Volcano. I remember why I do not go on Spring Saturdays park was JAM packed even after 8. IJ has working headlights & Brakelights (not sure if PKI's or PCW's has this), it is still VERY slow over the helix, area still needs A LOT of work but it looks like they should be done in two weeks when they are planning to have it open. The important thing is that it is running (none of the effects were working) Italian Job Testing at night Video link Enjoy, JEFF

Some Questions about Pepsi Max Big One
pkdcoaster replied to pkdcoaster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
after some more searching...according to Joyrides.com the drop was changed in 1997 (ride opened in 1994) Was the turnaround changed the same year? Martin- there is a difference, look at the structure closely of the first drop it is not a BIG difference but it is different...did you ride it before 1997? JEFF -

you guys suck...yall need to keep your hands down...your slowing down my coaster rides!! JEFF -
If any of you could tell me the year the first drop was modified as well as the far turn around (never noticed it was changed till recently). why was the turnaround reprofiled? Also is the first drop really that different, I have heard some people say the drop is not that good anymore...but it really doesnt look like that drastic of a change. any info or opinions are greatly appreciated, thanks in advance JEFF

searched and could not find anything on this. I used to always put my hands up, but I do not do it anymore (just occasionally on woodies). Now I usually just keep my hands down but I do not hold on. What do you do? (hopefully nobody picks either of the last 2 ) JEFF

yea ignore all that crap...trust me if you "retaliate" it is going to get worse and possibly out of hand. Just wait a year and you will see the amazing glory of leaving high school and never seeing 99% of the people from your school ever again....its great JEFF

Anaconda had dark green spine with orange rails from 1991-1999 I believe now it has light redish spine with yellow rails. PKD wanted it to stand out more.....so more people would ride it JEFF NEW paint job OLD paint job -
Ugly Roller Coaster
pkdcoaster replied to Lord Kotowa's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Why? out of curiousity It amazes me how most 200 foot coasters do not look that tall anymore except Magnum. JEFF -

Any GCI and MF While I do not think the ride is that great..Shivering Timbers looks really cool. JEFF -
I do not get the "cheap" system crap these company's are playing http://ps3.ign.com/articles/705/705887p1.html It is getting so ridiculous that I just have no desire to get either 360 or ps3 for a LONG time....I have WAY too many ps2 games I have not played yet and that will keep me satisfied till these systems are at a more reasonable price. Also am I the only one not really impressed with this "jump" in technology this generation....it just really does not seem worth it for this slight polish in visuals.....I just do not get it. Revolution seems nice....but the best features are playing games I have owned and played (and most of them bought twice already for GBA) for the last 10-20 years. The DS looks better everyday JEFF

Ugly Roller Coaster
pkdcoaster replied to Lord Kotowa's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
So what you are saying here is that if it was painted differently it wouldn't be ugly and that you like the shape of it but not the paint on it? Yes...I liked its old paint job ALOT better (see pic) when it was fresh it was nice looking and a good centerpiece for PKD (I heard from a manager the year they painted it like this, 2000 I believe, It is supposed to be a visual backdrop for the Kidzville area....made no sense to me) Dark Blue spine & track with yellow rails looked MUCH better, and I was pretty sure that is what Chuck was talking about (the paint job) JEFF Much better
