Most Disappointing Coaster!
pkdcoaster replied to Beate's Freak's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I kinda agree with TTD, the first time I rode it we sat in the middle and it did feel "meh" but the next day we rode the front seat and WOW! what a difference the seat makes on that ride. my opinion changed in 4 seconds JEFF -
Most Disappointing Coaster!
pkdcoaster replied to Beate's Freak's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Shivering Timbers back in 1998 EVERYBODY said it was hands down the best ever, I found it to be extremely boring and repetitive and the airtime was not all that. JEFF -
The Best Terrain Coaster
pkdcoaster replied to dr.gumbo's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Easy Jokers Jinx!!!!! J/K! To me the Coaster that used the terrain the best was Hercules and Steel Phantom/Revenge My Favs are all BGE's coasters and the Beast JEFF -
Anyone get in trouble @ 6Flags St Louis taking pictures?
pkdcoaster replied to pakoaster's topic in Ask Alvey
I do not understand why people believe this, If I want to take pictures or video at waterparks what is the problem???? Bathrooms and Waterparks are completely different. Its not like you go around snapping pics of womens asses and videotape the wedgie pulls. Yes THAT should be prohibited but general photography of rides and atmosphere is fine IMO You can take video and pics at the beach right? It is a public place and if somebody does not want to be filmed or photographed they should stay at home. It would probably blow peoples mind if they knew how often their pics were taken or how often they are videotaped. JEFF -
yea the game looks really cool but I am in the "wait till its cheaper boat" BTW Krackenking that vid in your sig is funny as hell!!!! JEFF

I am gonna be the Oddball again I guess, I pick BGT 1. Better Coasters (that is the #1 factor in my book) 2. I would much rather see rare and interesting animals than trees and plants 3. I believe the Theming is about equal, I really do not see why everyone believes BGT is subpar to BGW I thought everything in BGT was great except for the Festhaus in Africa?!?!?!? Maybe my opinion would be different if I had not had a front row seat to BGW's downwards spiral since 1999 (but I am hoping they redeem themselves next year) JEFF

I don't EVER look 26! But on the bright side when I am 50 it will be easy to pick up 21 year old chicks (just kidding honey) Most strangers think my son is my little brother JEFF

/\ hahaha I never realized you were on the can...I always thought it was a table....but I notice the seat condoms now JEFF (oh yea my Avater *currently* is a good pic I took recently of Rebel Yell, my first Big coaster I rode back in 1987)

I really do not see what the problem is with having some entertainment during the intermissions, I would rather see bouncing taters than the ice smoothers going in circles I think the changes to Hockey this year were awesome and I found it much more entertaining to watch especially getting rid of the tie games. If a game ends in a tie, what was the point in playing it in the first place? Congrats to the Canes! JEFF

very good pics! The sky was very Blue and clear (thought CA was full of smog?? ) SFMW looks like a nice mix of coasters and marine life. hope I get to go one day. JEFF

how about some brief park reviews too Erik, Although I am pretty sure SOTB had the worst operations What were your favorite parks and such, best thing about each park and worst thing etc. Good to see you had a great time even despite some rain, looking forward to your videos (are you gonna make a video for each park?) Great photos again, and thanks for taking the time to post them all p.s. were you at Knobels on the 10th (Sat.)....if you were I missed you by 1 day I was there on Fri. (lines were not nearly that bad) also did you take pics from the skyride? JEFF -

Great pics Erik, Glad you had fun in VA. I See you disobeyed EVERYBODY on this board and went to the most perfect park that is BGW first, therefore your trip to PKD was total crap and a waste of time. It always blew my mind how the operations on Alpengeist get Worse every year, and Apollo is one of the easiest coasters to load and dispatch and they Stack 3 trains constantly! IMO PKD's ops are not bad, it is the fact that they run 1 train on all of the wood now except weekends (they used to always run max. trains on everything) Good to see that PKD was empty on Monday, they usually are during the first weeks in June, Kids still have a week of school left here. If you gave me a pm before the trip you could have borrowed my kid for Taxi Jam to get that awesome credit Oh Erik, Tell me you rode Scooby in the back seat!!!!!! (insane air on the second drop) Looking forward to the rest of your pics. JEFF -
I would call it a wooden coaster but I am sure some people would not. It is just a wooden Bobsled. JEFF

We arrived at 1030am and the Rides opened at 11am so we had time to check out the Flying Turns. I have to admit that looking at the statistics ( http://www.rcdb.com/id3458.htm ) I really am not expecting too much of a thrill from the ride but seeing it in person blew me away with how SHARP the turns are. Top speed may be 25mph but you will feel so out of control that it will not matter, Hopefully it will be done by PPP. Had a special today- ride all you can for 4 hours for $13.25 (not bad at all) Phirst we hit Phoenix (1 train, 6 rides on the day) WOW! I had not been to Knobels since 2001 and that year Phoenix was a little rough on the return run but Today it was smooth as glass and Mad Air Everywhere, It felt like a brand new coaster. Twister (1 train, 6 rides on the day) This thing is still fast and out of control but some of the turns have got a little rough (but not unbearable by any means) Sadly my favorite part seems to have lost its big air pop (entering the double helix) a little air but not nearly as good as 5 years ago. we rode the new Looper flat ride....CrAzY!, most flat rides I can handle all day but this one is Wild as hell and lasts Forever (but you can control the wildness) you can see a pic here http://www.knoebels.com/thrill.htm Also rode Fandango a nice Mini-Max air. Funny things on the day Rained on one of our Twister rides and this Teenage girl turns around and says "Open your mouth it tastes good" This Teenage kid was waiting behind us in line for Twister and he is telling his friends that they have a much bigger coaster than this (Twister) I asked him if he was refering to the Phoenix, He had a blank stare and said "ugghh yea" I told him Twister is much bigger than Phoenix, He had the most serious look and said "NO its not!" I just Laughed how can you argue with a "know it all" Teenager. Well we left right as the Monsoon came (3pm) so that is all...any questions feel free to ask. Enjoy the pics, JEFF

Maybe one day Wes when your married and have kids you will understand. It literally becomes a Mans throne and the last remaining place in the house for peace and occasional quietness. Some people go to parks to escape...... I go to the S__ter. JEFF
