  1. Gotta agree with DATman. Although I still like the show, many of the musical numbers are 'staged' recently, instead of telling the story or developing the characters...other than the scene in Threads-n-Things, which was great.
  2. I am going to do it for my 3rd (and final) time next year. The knees just can't take it any more. Robb - you in?
  3. Me and MJ in Oahu, circa late 80s. He's heading out for some golf and I am enjoying having hair...those days now long gone.
  4. I gotta say I agree. Spent the first 30 years of my life as a Californian (born and raised). Now, after living in Florida for 3 years, love the slower pace, lack of traffic (slowing down to 20 mph in downtown Orlando rush hour is NOTHING compared to LA), and the generally 'nicer' population. Still consider myself a Californian; but, don't really miss it.
  5. Best: Matterhorn Bobsleds...dip through the ponds, hard turn, into the station. Wacky Soap Box Racers...long swooping left, hard right, pop up in the breaks. Worst: SFMM Ninja...just let me off at the bottom.
  6. How about Samantha (Sam)? Easy to find souvenires...
  7. Hong Kong is actually not very expensive. Transportation is very clean, efficient, and inexpensive. You can get around Central using the MTR (trains), buses, or trolleys for just a couple dollars US. You can spend just a couple more dollars US to use a taxi to get around in Central. From the Airport to Central on the MTR Airport Express Train is about $12 US or you can take a taxi for about $45 US. From Central to Hong Kong Disneyland by MTR is about $10 US or you can take a taxi for about $35 US. As for food...it all depends on what you want to eat. If you are okay with McDonald's, it is actually cheaper and more readily available in Hong Kong than in the US. But, you really don't want to miss out on some amazing and very inexpensive food. There are some GREAT restaurants/bars in Lan Kwai Fong (which is very close to Central). This is one place you really don't want to miss for some night-life.
  8. The track lay-out for Space Mountain at Disneyland, Tokyo Disneyland, and Hong Kong Disneyland are the same. Robb, thanks for including me in the video. The kids loved it!
  9. Mary Poppins. "It means, 'peace be the journey'."
  10. Best Overall Food -- Epcot. Best Theme Park Restaurant -- Coral Reef @ Epcot. If you go to Disneyland, you have to try the Monte Cristo.
  11. Even if there was an announced agreement (confirmed by Disney) in place and site preparation were to start today; the Park could not be open to the public by 2010. For comparison, the agreement for Hong Kong Disneyland was in 1998 and the Park opened in 2005.
  12. SportsNight Arrested Development hmmmm...what do those 2 have in common
  13. Many newer Disney coaster restraints are equipped with redundant electric actuators, instead of the typical saw-tooth mechanical mechanisms. These are most easily noticed by the fact they do not make "clicking" sounds as they are lowered. Based on their design and redundancy, a physical check is not required. If they are down (as long as power is not being supplied to the actuators) they will stay down and locked.
  14. In Hong Kong today it is 95 degrees with 98% humidity. And, that is just 2 days after a decent-sized typhoon swept through.
  15. Simple...the Matterhorn Bobsleds.
  16. For me -- Jaguar! Marketed as "the BIG cat of coasters". Exactly what scale was Knott's using?
  17. 4 years-old, Matterhorn Bobsleds...couldn't wait to get back in line!
  18. Unfortunately...It was the Dragon at Ocean Park. As anyone whom has riden it knows, each ride comes with a free raging headache. Dragon, Sponsored by Tylenol.
  19. Uhhhhh ... Cubs, Please, Finally, Please!
  20. I gotta agree with a bunch of you say the MATTERHORN BOBSLEDS. Not only was it the first in a lot of catagories, it is the one and only. Unlike Space Mtn and BTMRR, it was never replicated; and never will be (thanks to today's building codes and ride standards). The A3/B4 Tunnel...what clearance envelope?
  21. Already mentioned: Zoolander -- Mystery Men -- BASEketBall -- Brother Bear (the Moose Commentary version)
  22. Baseball ... and beer ... and nachos for me.
