I never thought about the tower being a sound tube! It should be amazing once themed and you hear the screams coming from the inside. -

^I was actually surprised that as an immediate action more Eurofighters/infinity coasters were not shut down temporarily even if it was just for a couple of days. I understand Saw is still closed at Thorpe Park but I believe that is most likely more a Merlin decision than a HSE requirement. -

I will be very interested to see what the story behind that feature in the lift is once the theming is complete. Maybe a trap door of some kind? -

I am going to be honest its not really at the stage where it is a full day park yet but I can imagine it will be in a few more years. A few more coasters would be nice but I think they should get something like a log flume and dark ride first just to give a better range of attractions. Coaster wise I vote Intamin Mega-Lite for their next one though! -

If I am right in my understanding of public liability insurance they will pay out a determined amount to the people involved/who have made claims. The moment the park admitted liability they really had to pay out. Nothing says the park won't top up whatever payment the insurers pay out if they so wish to do so though. -

The counties in Ireland? As you were first you are officially declared the winner! Your prize is this cookie! But I'm afraid you will have to fight Cookie Monster for it! -

I love this park so much great trip report! Personally I wouldn't put Helix even close to the same league as Expedition Geforce. The park has changed so much since my first visit in 2008 and all for the better! Its a shame you didn't manage to go on the dark ride with boobs though. Unless that has been removed and I missed that. -

^Well if I could apply for my new coaster like that and not give anything away about the layout I totally would so I think thats a great move by the park. -

I don't think people are giving it hate because of how they think it will ride, they are commenting on the aesthetics of the ride. When they finish theming the ride over next winter the whole look of the element might change but for now it really doesn't looks pleasing to the eye. -

^I honestly can't imagine there will be huge changes made to the design of trains. The rarity of something like this happening has never required them to crash test the ride vehicles at speed and even after this I just can't see them modifying the trains just on the small chance this happens again. -

Pizza Pasta Buffet is usually where I eat when I visit. ^The place you are thinking of is "Roast and Relish" located next to Swarm Island and I totally recommend it also as a great place for a snack! -
I have as well but with all the event buildings etc i still run out of room. Even just one more district would be nice.

I got the exact same feeling when I rode it. Just when you thought it was going to be over there was another hill or turn. Really is a great coaster and it doesn't let up at all through the whole course. -

While this is a great thing, Norway is a country where this would work because people seem to have common sense out there. Here in the UK for example I couldnt see this working at all due to peoples immense stupidity at parks. -

Your kidding me right? They had an issue with rides that most parks have at some points with something falling off a train. I didn't hear people going "Oh Thorpe Park can't maintain rides anymore" after things fell of Rush and Swarm. Its just an unfortunate incident that happened. Im pretty sure they could maintain a woodie quite easily.
