I'd heard that they might have it fully open on Tuesday or Wednesday, but I can't make any guarantees. Thanks for the review! Sorry you couldn't ride it more times! -

Quick question, I remember hearing that DW had the option of a free visit the night before, with a purchase of a 1-day ticket. Is this policy still existent? I can't find it online. If so, can somebody explain how it works? -

You obviously have never ridden Superman el Ultimo Escape at SFM. That coaster is NOT forceless, it actually has stronger airtime than most B&M hypers! -
To each his own but I think Magic Mountain still completely punishes them in the coaster department. It's not even close. It would help their coaster lineup though which would help solidify Knotts' standing as a more well rounded park than Magic Mountain. I personally have a nerdy system to determine - I value a park's "coaster lineup" on how many rank-able coasters they have - basically how many coasters I consider "great" (which, for me are 35 steel and 15 wood at the moment). I don't even bother trying to rank anything less-good than my lowest-ranked coasters (which happen to be Medusa at SFDK, and Lightning Racer). I understand that some people really like the lineup at SFMM - I think they have a lot of decent coasters that don't reach greatness. SFMM has only one coaster that's even good enough for me to rank, TC. Knott's would likely have three if they built a Megalite or Dive Coaster. At least for me, I would choose to visit Knott's over SFMM every day if they added one airtime-focused coaster after opening GR. For reference on my system, some parks have quite excellent coaster lineups: -BGT has 4 coasters -CP has 4 (likely more now) -Hershey has 4 -BGW has 3

I would love a Chance Hyper GTX or a small B&M Hyper (Goliath at La Ronde) or small B&M Dive! Any of those coasters would essentially boost Knotts' coaster lineup to the best in California! New GhostRider+Xcelerator+something relatively tall with airtime is better than what SFMM has (Twisted Colossus+Coasters I don't really care to ride)

God, I hope so! Screamscape is reporting it too. This is how I've wanted them to redevelop the park to gain space and utilize the real estate! I am hoping they can further improve the Boardwalk atmosphere. The 2013 renovation was great, I hope they can extend that across the whole back half of the park. Here's the space I imagine they may be able to work with: Yellow: The land occupied by Riptide and Boomerang Red: The land occupied by Sky Tower, Wipeout, and various food/games buildings. Demolish the Sky Tower like they originally planned for Windseeker. Orange: Move Wipeout to Windseeker's spot! Kinda like how they moved the Scrambler. Blue: I don't know what these buildings occupy, but it may be possible to use this space too?

Holiday World (HW) Discussion Thread

After reading about Holiday World for the past 10 years, I've finally secured plans to visit! I am beyond excited to experience these truly unique coasters, and even the waterpark! How would you all expect crowds to look like on a Saturday at the end of June? Wait times for coasters? Wait times for the water coasters? Thanks for the advice! -

This ride has a lot more going for it than Lightning Rod... It's clear cut to me that this ride is looking like it will be the best wooden coaster in the world. I disagree, I think it's impossible to truly tell which one's better when you haven't even see a real pov of either. I think both layouts have extremely unique features and both use their terrain tremendously! I refuse to make any actual judgement until I ride both! Judging by how much I enjoyed Outlaw Run, I think it's safe to say that Wildfire and Lightning Rod will eventually become my two favorite! -

This coaster seriously looks like the best wooden coaster in the world (Other than possibly Lightning Rod). I can't wait to come out there and get on it! -

I'm seriously considering buying a plane ticket to Gothenburg just to ride Wildfire, Helix, and Balder. This looks INSANE! -

#361 Flight of the Hippogriff at USH yesterday! Suprisngly forceful, and fits in great at the Wizarding World! Mack Youngstar is way better than a Vekoma Roller Skater. Forbidden Journey is my favorite dark ride of all time! -
What's your closest coaster?

I'm less than 2 miles from SeaWorld San Diego and Belmont Park.
