Can I request a photo TR of the waterpark from a local? I feel like we never get pictures of CP Shores, even with all of the love it's received in the last couple years. Bonus points for the swim up bar! -
I saw Ocean's 8 and Hereditary this weekend. Hereditary was excellent, and I believe seeing it in the theater made the experience because there were some parts that I wasn't sure if I should be laughing and I'm glad I had a whole room full of people that were also laughing. A slow burn horror, definitely not a perfect movie but it kept you guessing and didn't rely on jump scares to deliver to creepy feelings. The camera work and cinematography was also a highlight! Toni Collette is a star in this. Ocean's 8 was just a fun movie all around. Thought the cast was excellent and the fact that most of the movie takes place at the Met was cool. If you like horror, you've got to see Hereditary!!! Go now!

they have a lot of "classics".. but I'd absolutely add to the "do not miss" (and yeah, BW is a great ride!. . forgot that one). but yeah, if you're in Kennywood, absolutely do not skip: Bayurn Kurve -- fairly rare, and a hell of a lot of fun Kangaroo - last of it's kind in the USA, looks stupid as hell, and will have a line (fairly low capacity). . but the most dumb fun you'll have all day, trust me. and if you have more time, then also line up for (as I noted before) Noah's Ark, Ghostwood Estates, Paratrooper, the Train (was wonderful, but not sure if it will be operating as they are converting to Thomas Town)... as well as Racer, Thunderbolt, and Garfield's Nightmare (oh, the smell.. the smell) I am madly in love with Black Widow The prime example of a frisbee type ride. Everything else you mentioned is also excellent. -

But the MCBR grabs hard enough that you can make a pit stop and get back to the train before it goes into the 2nd half of the ride so you won't need to let us know about the bathroom breaks. -

New Belgium's Hemperor. Yep, smelled and tasted just like carbonated water with weed so not very good. I went right back to the Schlitz I was drinking before. https://www.newbelgium.com/beer/the-hemperor-hpa/ -

I just read the description of this thread and laughed way too hard. I bought my Dad a grill basket. It was like, $20.

I also had a pathetic offering of fries from the potato patch. Either they weren't fried twice or their oil wasn't hot enough because they weren't crispy and shockingly the cheese only made it worse. Sent em back. Seems like an off day for me since the majority is wild about them. If you're all about fries at theme parks go for it! Black Widow and Jack Rabbit are the stand out attractions outside of Phantom in my book. -

Always a good read as a lot of things that you do are things I'd never do, so it's fun to see a different perspective. Thanks for the write up! -

See ya there! It's one of those rides that I was stuck in the back seat year over year, not wanting to wait the extra front seat queue. But then one year it all changed! What a rush. -

I'm not sure which advice is more valuable this year: Get FL+ Plan your visit later in the season -
Timmy O'Toole's is right across the street from the park. http://www.timothyotooles.com/gurnee Excellent beer selection with lots of rare stuff on tap frequently and I've never been disappointed by the food. https://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/otooles-media/33883/MAIN-MENU-4112018-F-OUTLINED-G.pdf It's so close you could walk.

Maybe I'm missing something, but with a Graeter's inside the park, why would you want to eat any other ice cream? I don't know if you're being sarcastic or not Preference! I like soft serve and the blueberry vanilla flavor. Graeter's is very good but I wanted something else. I can get Graeters even in Chicago. -

Good. I think the forum as a collective would have an anxiety attack if a member posted "I'm going to Cedar Point on Saturday without Fast Lane. Hope I get on everything." -

I had 24 hours in Cincy visiting family on the way back to Chicago and I decided to head up at 9:30 yesterday since rain moved out of the picture. I was only at the park for 90 minutes but I'm so glad I went because I got to do everything I wanted and much much more! I went to Winterfest last year, so I technically haven't been to the park while fully operational for almost 2 years. Banshee was open for passholder ERT and there was only a wait for the front line as usual. Great invert with a nice snap in the back seat down the first drop and then a buffet of big inversions. Having been on Afterburn just days before the two couldn't be further apart. I like the old trains and pace of B&M inverts over the modern designs; still Banshee is a fun re-ridable coaster that I seem to enjoy more as I ride it! 8/10 With more ERT going on across the park, I was excited to check out Mystic Timbers since my previous rides had been during Winterfest It was running just as well as it did during Winterfest! It's a really fun GCI and the GP do not stop talking about the shed, haha. I prefer this coaster in the front seat, I think the air is stronger there. The train absolutely rockets through the course and hits each element so quickly. Just put your hands up and laugh the whole time. 8/10 **The ops are definitely aware of enthusiasts checking out this ride as on my 3 different rides I was told to "Enjoy your ride on Fury THREEE TWOOO FIIIVE FIVEEE FIVEEE" and "Have a great day at America's Rockin' Roller Island, Ride On!" etc By now it was 10am and the whole park opened, so I went over to the Beast. Skyline Chili, seeing the local MLB/NFL team lose, shopping the world at Jungle Jim's, having a German beer, and riding the Beast in the front seat... it's a must do when in Cincinnati. While the night rides are stellar, the rides during the day are still all around fun. The fast front row ride through the woods was just as I remembered with the final helix being just as crazy as it always has been. 8/10 **They added the Beast claws on both "Don't Stand Up etc" signs at the top of the lifts - anyone know when these were added? Great touch! You'll need a GreatZo lens to get a good photo of 'em from the station exit. The Rivertown area in general (aside from the tacky games) seemed like it was given a refresh and had an atmosphere that reminded me of Frontiertown at CP. The music, greenery, and farming-esque little things made a difference to me. With about 40 minutes left it was time to get reacquainted with the park's B&M hyper, Diamondback! This ride is the most nostalgic to me since I worked on it the opening year and spend a **LOT** of time riding it, walking around the layout, pressing buttons, cleaning bugs off the teeth, etc. Diamondback looks like it shed its skin with those new seat covers and restraints! Looking as good as it did in 2009. It's just a big 'ol floater air machine going out to the woods and back. What I love most about this ride is how you get different types of floater air -if you have time, ride row 2, 4, 10, and 15. Row 2 is great because you're out on the edge in the front. Hanging over the first drop 230ft in the air is breath taking and each following hill you're pushed up and over the top and float back down. Row 4 gives you less of a push over the hills, but more floating over the entire hill. Row 10 is my favorite for the first drop because it's the perfect spot on the train to get lifted out of your seat. The train no longer relies on the chain lift to get over the hill and you really feel that. It's a middle-back seat so you get all of the floaty-ness with a little more of a pull down each hill. Row 15 is smoother than 16 which is the only reason why I prefer 16. You get yanked over every hill, you know the drill! While I like Diamondback, Raging Bull, Intimidator, Goliath all the same Diamondback gives me the feels. The ops were all doing a great job running each ride at full capacity and sounding off every half hour/fifteen minutes on their pacing. It was a slowwwww Sunday morning with a threat of rain and everyone was crushing it like they have an incentive of unlimited blue ice cream for the best capacity. Oh yeah, blue ice cream (Smurf cone) is still just as great as it always has been. Don't miss this! KI has really improved at every aspect of a theme park since 2000 and is a must visit park in the USA. -Zz Let's check out one of the newest B&M's in the country! Love the colors and no lines. How many Easter Eggs can you find in MT's station? Fury 325 or Mystic Timbers? Ride the front seat! Great day for a trek through the woods Still holding up nicely! Pure Cincinnati my baybeh Winterfest or June, it runs very well Must get - Smurf Cone!!! See ya. -

With the radar looking like abstract art, I'm thankful that we were able to get in a few rides on Afterburn, Fury, and Intimidator! Flew in and went straight to the park at noon - the jumbo lockers are awesome. $22 bucks held all of the luggage for both my brother and I. 2 backpacks and 2 duffle bags! Get the lockers! Yay lockers! The park had numerous amounts of school groups so most riders had 15-30 min waits. Fury, Intimidator, and Afterburner were doing an okay job with operations. School groups, you guessed it, equal tons of line jumping. It was abysmal. Afterburn is still my favorite coaster in the park! It's relentless, but so smooth and there is 0 headbanging. Each element is so fluid and perfect it's crazy how fast you take them. Intimidator is just fine for a B&M hyper. It exceeded my expectations last year and did the same this year. Fury is such a re-ridable, hands up, pure fun coaster. It's not too intense to scare away riders and it's got more action going on than any of the B&M hypers. The twisty bits might surprise you with a little pop out of your seat, but don't expect any groundbreaking airtime. It's definitely got stronger than what you'd assign to a B&M coaster. Random notes - haha what is up with these "nutritional shaved ice"s? Phone was in a locker so no photos but they're selling these shaved ice cones and billing them as nutritional haha. Bathrooms everywhere. Most with AC. This was great! Can't wait to visit again this summer and take my time going through the park. -Zz Hanging out underneath Fury! Mother nature was furious today, but thankfully gave us a 3 hour window to ride some great B&Ms -

Stayed there last year and it was fantastic. If we weren't driving to Columbia after the park tomorrow I'd stay there again. The employees were beyond nice, gave me the highest floor + facing the park when I asked, had a very solid free breakfast, and yeah it's right across from the park. Made it very easy in and out. Very cool to see those footers! I'll be at the park tomorrow dodging thunderstorms so I'll take some pictures if I can carve out some time between Afterburn and Fury
