  1. I'm back! What a fantastic trip to Gatlinburg. I visit the park in '04-we had free tickets and met up with a family who had been there all day. We went on the coasters, and left. So this was like a whole new park for me since I got a chance to explore and actually appreciate the rides! I went to Ober Gatlinburg/Hiking on Saturday - Alpine slide was great! And Dollywood today. There were nooooo lines. I got at least 15 rides on major attractions; walked around the park twice, and had a very friendly, fun, and all around enjoyable fun. Oh, and it was FREEZING in the morning! In fact, they couldn't open half the rides until 10 when it rose above 40*. About noon I wasn't able to see my breath anymore, haha. I should start posting reviews and pictures later tonight and tomorrow! -JZ
  2. Aw bummer! I'm not sure if I'll be back down, but I'll see what I can do. I bet Dollywood will be even better with Christmas lights up and such. We'll cross paths again eventually! Launching of SCR.com? LOL -JZ
  3. If the lines are kinda bad...then 15 bucks is a DEAL! I think Six Flags is about...60? 75?
  4. His insurance rates must be through the roof. That ride was rough as hell.
  5. Hey TPR! I visited Dollywood for half of a day back in 2004, and now I'm heading back on this coming Sunday, the 25th! I got my credits in back in '04, but don't really remember much of them, so this will be a great refresher, especially with the new Mystery Mine coaster now there! How have crowds been on Sundays? I'll be there by myself since my Aunt and Uncle will be doing their own hiking instead, so will anyone want to meet up? I can't wait to get pictures of this park in autumn with my D40....it's going to be beautiful! Thanks! -JZ
  6. Thanks for the trip flyers Robb and Elissa! A lot of great information to help me get things in order for possible Europe trip stuff! Thanks on the quick repairs, too! -JZ
  7. Thank you title fairy!
  8. Title Fairy, Could you change my title to, "Jizz Man" please? It seems to be my adopted TPR name! LOL! Thanks, -J "Jizz Man" Z
  9. Excellent report! Those obstical courses look like so much fun!
  10. I loved Movie World. A very nice, small park. I still can't get over how awesome I thought Scooby's Coaster was...and that I missed Superman! I bet they put on a great Halloween event. -JZ
  11. Do the Midland Europe trip parks have crazy trampolines or fun houses? I'd love to visit a park with those!
  12. Paranormal Activity lives up to the hype in my opinion. That stuff happens to people in real life! I loved the hell outa the movie, and it freaked me out and made me squirm in my seat, and even cover my eyes! This is one of the greatest films ever!!! That kind of stuff creeps me out, and if you can put a bit of faith into a film, you'll like it. Of course, this movie will have reactions like Blair Witch. Some will LOVE it...some hate. The films are similar, too. -Zach
  13. Please keep the photos coming! I'd love to see how Dreamworld and Movie World are doing. I miss Australia! -Zach
  14. Worst: Waiting on my last night at Disneyland for Space Mountain to open at 11PM. The ride op/greeter at front promises up and down that it will re open. 11:30PM...ride op is called back. 11:50PM...ride op returns saying it will re open and we will get a ride in. 12:10AM....ride op tells us it won't re open. Not only did I miss out on a last ride on Space Mountain, I wasted my last hour at Disneyland. It was a BIG group waiting, too...I'm surprised we weren't given any compensation for the false hope. Best: ERT on TPR trips.
  15. Yup we did! My favorite rides on Diamondback are in the morning in the front, when employees ride...especially riding by yourself. The trim doesn't have to do anything so that hill produces FANTASTIC floater air! Steel Eel's midcourse just killed the rest of the ride for me...coming to nearly a crawling stop...blah.
  16. http://www.daytondailynews.com/news/crime/...day-346078.html A trial will begin Thursday, Oct. 15 for a woman suing the owners of Kings Island for injuries she claims she received during a ride on the Son of Beast in 2006. The jury trial is one of two scheduled in Warren County Common Pleas Court during the next two months involving the roller coaster incident that sent 27 people to the hospital in July 2006. Jennifer Wright of Defiance, Ohio allegedly suffered a hip injury that her attorney claims will require several replacements over her lifetime. She is asking the jury to force Kings Island to pay for punitive damages. The jury first has to find Kings Island caused Wright's injuries, then it will consider if the park should be punished. Wright's case was originally coupled with five other cases relating to the same incident, but the other plaintiffs have all settled....
  17. I was told on the Texas Trip that Titan isn't braked as hard as Goliath is. I'm not sure, but Titan never come to a full stop on the MCBR. Yeah, after watching vids; Titan doesn't come to a complete stop like Goliath does. But those who rode both can speak on the intensity of the two.
  18. I think that the Runaway Mine Train at SFOT had a pretty cool ending! So did the mine train at SFFT. Too bad it had sooo much energy going into the brake run. Titan at SFOT has a CRAZY ending.
  19. Even I have to agree! I rode for the first time in two months....and this is so true. It's good if you're in the front or back though; but that MCBR is just...so sad.
  20. This is why I want to do an international TPR trip! Thanks Divv! I had nooo idea they had that many types of Doritos. I can't remember which ones Australia had, but they were great! They even made plain Doritos...like, just a plain tortilla chip! Sooo wierd...

  24. Well, for starters.... flying over the highway/water/through the trees > parking lot! I really was hoping for the NE trip to ride Goliath at La Ronde....it looks soooooo good!
