  1. Catrina and I are going to get together with some friends and go to Benihana. Most of our friends will be downing record amounts of sushi while we play it safe with the Chicken and Steak. Later, I will grab a few good brews and put some Dick on the TV.
  2. We started our holiday a little early today at work and went to the Penn Brewery for lunch. Each of us enjoyed a couple St. Nickolaus Bocks and I even grabbed a six pack for later. For food a had the WURST BAGUETTE. Check out the Penn Brewery site here ... and Wally start checking your mailbox come Monday
  3. Steel Force is still a good coaster. Especially when the trims aren't over aggressive. No need for any trade. It is fine.
  4. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6588655045
  5. Dillinger rocks. Saw them open for Mr. Bungle around 99-00. And yes ... they had the strobe/flood light show
  6. Really, in all seriousness, there isn't really many options but to park in the lot. The park is located on a hill and there isn't much around but housing developments and a gas station. I am not sure if SFMM has one, but many of the Six Flags parks have bus stops. You may want to check if there is a local route. Bus fare would surely be cheaper than $10.
  7. Robbs House Seriously ... pay the $10! They probably need it more than you.
  8. I got to catch the Maiden/Anthrax tour at the AJ Palumbo Center in Pittsburgh (back in the day), but unfortunately they cancelled on me this time around. I had tickets for the Judas Priest/Anthrax show last summer.
  9. Hefty  Who is your favorite professional wrestler?
  10. The last item I bought was a Christmas present for my girlfriend. Nice try Catrina
  11. Not Wally, but if you like other drinks (Liquor, Cordials, Wine, etc) you may want to try some of the darker beers and Belgium beers (ex: Chimay). You will find these to be quite a different experience from what most think as beer tasting.
  12. A couple shots of me from our gig last weekend:
  13. I had a big tall glass on Newcastle tonight at BW3 with some wings.
  14. Well it is 5% ABV and a lager. Let the guessing begin! Since A&B has already produced an Amber Beer, I will say it's a "California Common".
  15. I used to go to tons of shows, but they are few and far between now. I probably haven't been to a show since: Prince Mellon Arena (Pittsburgh)
  16. I am probably not as "versed" as the rest, but I would estimate that I go through about 3-4 different labels a week. Sometimes much more ... sometimes less. We need to post our beer "ride lists". Better yet, we need to get a Mitch to start an annual Beer Poll!
  17. I think I have seen that one before. Is it the one that is located in a mall above the top level? If so, isn't it tire-driven?
  18. The numbers sound "right-on" what I thought. The park will eventually get some more "destination" travelers but now they will have to depend on free shows and the like to get people through the gate. Most of the people who live in the area have very good things to say about the park and are happy that it was saved. Funny thing is .... a lot of people used to! Of course, this is also when Disney had one park and Gatorland was considered a destination. I vaguely remember visiting the park in 1980 with my mother, cousin and grandma and being bored out of my mind. If the park was like it is now, I probably would have loved it.
  19. The Satelites for DirecTV are over Texas (or somewhere around there) so that would be southeast for you.
  20. Irish Thunder - BGW Moroccan Roll - BGT Candlelight Processional - Epcot Katonga - BGT Fantasmic - MGM Sindbad - IOA Golden Horseshow Dancing Girls - Magic Kingdom So ... John ... how many of these have you worked on?
  21. Schwarzkopf ... no contest. // thinks you will have trouble finding many people who have rode both
  22. Another big thing to consider (and it is BIG) is that you live pretty far up north. I had a lot more troubles with my DirecTV when i moved up north, because my dish angle was close to 90 degrees. If you live pretty far up north and are surrounded by trees or other tall obstructions, don't expect much signal. // My brother actually cut down a tree on his old farm in Southern WV to get signal!
  23. Here is a link to a Photo TR I did back in May. It has some shots of Cedar Point's queues in their best state .... empty! http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1756
  24. I switched from DirecTV to Comcast and I have been very happy with the move. I had DirecTV for around 5 years but didn't really need it anymore after I cancelled Sunday Ticket. Another BIG reason for my move to cable was DirecTV's decision to dump TRIO. Now I have it again and I am a very happy man. Most importanatly ... if you don't have it already, TIVO makes any programming 10x better. Satelite or Cable.
