  1. Part 2.....Fun with Sand The sand sculptures were amazing this year. This was all kinds of weird Not sure the meaning of it But it did have boobs so that's a plus Now, looking at this, what do you think would be on the other side? Ya, not what I was expecting either, but still awesome! Any idea who this is supposed to be? Again...what? A dragon shield Nice kitty Not sure why, but this looks very dirty to me
  2. Hey everyone, recently hit up the CNE here in Toronto and figured I would share some of the pics with you guys. Was only there for a few hours but would say that from the food and the rides, it was one of the better CNE's we've had in a while. Here's the first part of the pics...the Food Fried Food - Must be fair time Really? This should be someone's porn name Yes, even Canadians are now frying everything Home of the Krispy Kreme donut Snooki would love this place My dinner - Mac N Curds...fried of course Guess with all the fried food spelling wasn't an issue Was real good though As was the pickle But the main star of the show was from here Deep fried Cola (they weren't allowed to use the "Coke" name as coke didn't want to be associated with unhealthy food here). Would've been good if it wasn't for the fact it was burnt to a crisp.
  3. Got my review in, hopefully not too late.
  4. My thoughts exactly....... Everyone keeps commenting on Knotts as the original home, aside from the park needing a coaster like this, what are other hints that this was for Knotts?
  5. Couldn't have put it any better myself. 1. A giga 2. A B&M 3. Lapbars only 4. Technically exits the park 5. Will look AMAZING at the front of the park 6. The first B&M giga These are 6 valid and great points to be happy. Remember it was only 7 years ago when Paramount tried to feed us Tomb Raider as "Canada's first flying coaster" and expect us to fall heads over heels. Thank you Cedar Fair for seeing what Wonderland has to offer your company and providing us with a stellar addition like this. Ya its odd that it comes only 4 years after one of the best, if not THE best B&M hypers out there (even mentioned as one of Robb's favorites a few pages back), but who cares? A good coaster is a good coaster and this, at least to me, looks like a good coaster. Countdown to 2012 begins!
  6. I will agree that this is an odd choice and is similar to Behemoth however, I'd rather have two B&M's in our park that are similar rather then no B&M's.
  7. Really? Millennium Force and Magnum are nothing alike... Have you ever ridden either? I mean, Cedar Point has built 4 Intamin Rollercoasters in a row... there's nothing wrong with that part. But I really do hope that this coaster is not just a bigger Behemoth. I don't even know if making it more of a twister is really going to change my thoughts. This really has to be something different from BM to get away from Behemoth. If it is 350 feet... I don't really care what the layout is, I'm sure it will be badass, but I do hope for something unique. Yup. Ridden both several times. Make it to CP almost every summer. They are very similar in principal just different heights and layout.
  8. I for one am very excited. Even if this ends up just being a bigger Behemoth, as odd as that would be, I am not going to complain. CP has Magnum and MF....although MF is slightly more twisty they really aren't all THAT different in terms of style/layout. I know there was longer gap between those 2 when compared to this, but to me, I am looking forward to 7am tomorrow and even with the leaks do not feel i'll be disappointed.
  9. Wonderland is the highest attended park in the CF chain which runs Seasonal operations as last recorded in 2010. The only park higher then us in the Cedar Fair chain is Knotts but they are a year round park. We had 3.38million Visitors in 2010 Source: http://www.coastergrotto.com/theme-park-attendance.jsp
  10. Couldn't agree more. If it was just a giga out and back for example, I guess the record that Mr Kinzel is talking about breaking would probably be a length or airtime thing more then anything. Just a little over 24hours remain. We will all find out at about 7am tomorrow morning, Eastern Time of course
  11. Am I smelling a TPR 'insert ride name here"-athon coming to Wonderland next year?
  12. I'm down for that. I cannot wait, very excited as well to see what B&M has up their sleeve...this truly has been a roller coaster ride in itself... First a quote from a credible source, then one from a person who isn't all that respected in the industry (deserved or not I cannot say), and then one from the man himself, Mr Kinzel confirming a record breaking coaster? Wow...this will for sure be a great adventure until opening day. I was curious if I'd be buying a 2012 season pass...this pretty much just sealed the deal for sure. 1day 10hrs 21min remain
  13. I will not look at Time Warp and call it a flying coaster. I call it a glorified carnival ride. A B&M Flyer vs a Volare? Not even on the same level. I will not rule anything out until I see the announcement go up. Either way, another B&M? Sweet!!! I am excited.
  14. If we are to take any of the two quotes as viable and important, I think we may be seeing something more unique. It my be a dive, but not a typical dive...it may be a WingRider, but not a typical one. Can't wait...7 days to go.
  15. Ahhhh, gotcha....and yes, you are correct. Just that comment from Gary Slade is what keeps putting me to, regardless of company, something we've never seen before. A new type of coaster or a new twist on an old classic. I do dream of a TTD + i305 love child.
  16. Inversions do not make or break a ride for myself. I want smooth, fun, decent start, memorable finish and long lasting impression. But if I had to choose, I would go with A. Think of coasters as a movie or book...a great beginning, middle and end. Raptor is a good example of from start to finish a great ride. MF has a great start but, in my personal opinion, albeit a fun middle its not really that exciting... I have not been on i305, but it looks amazing and I too have heard great reviews pre and post straps, trims, etc.
  17. You said and I was merely adding on that although those are the most common, they are not the only ones that made them famous.
  18. Ummm Montu, Raptor, X-Raptor, Kumba, Kraken, Scream, Medussa, etc. Sure their popular model is Out & Back but its far from the only thing that got them on the map. Maybe the talks of their 4th Dimension prototype could be something to think of. I don't have any guesses at this point...the logical would be a large scale Maverick type ride or an iSpeed style. Itamin is good with fitting great rides in spaces like this so, that makes the most sense, but I am far from an expert so come announcement day I will be on the edge of my seat like everyone else.
  19. Wow...so is it still around 160 spots or something like that they have fenced off?
  20. No one knows yet what they choose except for the lucky workers and crew. Until then, lets all just enjoy the guessing. After the reveal, anyone that wants to bash a ride they have not ridden are more then welcome to, I for one will wait until I ride whatever said attraction is until I put a or a
  21. I saw that GC Seat thing last time when I was at the park. I am sure a lot people will say, "giga coaster" with that shot of the bolts from before, but who knows. Either way, looks like we're getting a new coaster, and as long as its not a Dueling Volare then I am pretty it'll be good. Remember this is goign to be at the front of the park, so at bare minimal, it should at least LOOK good
  22. Thanks...I will be staying on Rene Levesque and just trying to think the quickest/easiest way to get into the park. I am off work at 5 and will be starting my journey by 515/530 the latest. Does that 167 from Jean-Drapeau station take me straight into the park? It appears from this map http://www.stm.info/english/metro/Jean-Drapeau.pdf that it does but just wanted to verify? Thanks again for your help.
  23. Just to get it out of the way, I've done a search on here and couldn't really find the information I was seeking. I wanted to know, what was La Ronde like on weeknights? I am going to be in Montreal on business next week and was thinking of popping in after work? I would be arrive at the park between 530 and 6pm. Any thoughts/suggestions?
