^ Agreed! We are just supposed to ignore all the other threads where he asks the opinion of the forum and pat him on the back for not being able to stick out a job for more than a few months because he is "bored"?

Ok I am going to agree with the masses here.... Someone needs to learn how to be "entry level" working insanely crappy hours, getting even worse pay. My first job at 16 was at the local Burger King..not my idea of a great time..but I learned valuable lessons like how to handle money, customers and stressful situations. What I wouldnt give for days of 20 minutes of nothing. I agree, Disney isnt the magical place for the workers. I did a short stint there when I was between jobs, and about passed out in from of BTM due them forgetting to give me bottle of water in the middle of August. But I continued on because it was a job, and that is what they were paying me $6 an hour for. With your work ethic and attitude, you will NEVER make it in the real world work force. The job I am in currently pays me well, but I spend about 5hrs of the 8hr shift doing nothing as there sometimes isnt anything to do. I suck it up and do it. Also jumping from job to job is going to hurt you later. When you have an HR person ask you why you left such and such job what are you gonna tell them...Shrek was boring. That wont fly very well. I wish you well in your new job, but just keep in mind, you have to suck it up and deal with it. You have burnt 2 major bridges in the Orlando area. Dont expect to continue to get lucky.

This park being local, I watched Starliner go up and sadly, whenever I go by it, I never see the thing running. There is always people at the station, but you never see the actual coaster on the track. It will be interesting to see what happens with this park. Phobia, the totally lame Halloween event start Friday, and one of the tent houses is already visable from the road. It just looks cheap. Putting in the rides was a nice idea, but a lot of the time, many are closed, and what is open is running at a low load time. This was just never executed properly. Hopefully this new company will spend the money in a better way and make this park something better than what it is now.

Geauga Lake Discussion Thread
CoasterJunkie replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I have to believe Cedar Fair set this park up to fail from the very beginning...basically they found a way to remove the competition, move the rides to there other more profitable parks, and then shut it down so they are the only park in Northern Ohio. Sadly, I never got my credit for the park. -
$1200 for deposit and first month rent on a new place to live...plus the $425 deposit to get the electric turned on...what a rip

I can understand why some people do not like it. 1 year ago, I was among that group who thought the game was lame. Then I tried out the demo, and got hooked. A year later, I run a small guild, and have a 70pally on Undermine server. My guild is mostly adults with like play styles, and we are starting to work on end game stuff... Some people dont get WoW...I dont see what the hype is over Halo 3 or Gears of War. Its all about tastes.

Skull Kingdom obituary...
CoasterJunkie replied to kayoss's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It was not a restaurant. It was a walk through attraction... I think it went bust due to lack of money coming in. With Universal just across the street, it suffered. Getting to it was a bitch due to the traffic. They tried quite a few things to keep it going, but nothing worked. -
Skull Kingdom obituary...

I had the privilage to visit Skull Kingdom many years ago. When I first moved to Orlando, I didnt know about the whole "Buy your tickets early to HHN" and it was sold out. Looking for something else, we went to Skull Kingdom. It was...cheesy. You payed about $15 at the time to get in. It was a short, 10 min walk through...guided. Scares were good. It was never worth going back to though. I will miss the building and all its cheesiness. RIP Skull Kingdom -
I was a big Oswald and Dani fan... I also am a HUGE ROMBER fan... This is going to be a tough season for me...with so many "likes"...guess we will see who is annoying and needs to go..

I grew up in Wildwood NJ, so I am very familiar with the GN. In its time, it was an OK ride on Hunt's Pier. There was great woodie there called The Flyer also. The pier was a classic, and sadly, it is no more. GN was one of my first coasters ever. It was heavily themed, but over the years, they stopped taking care of it, so things stopped working. I would like to see them move the ride, as part of historic Wildwood, but I know it wont ever happen. Its only a matter of time before someone burns it down, like some kids did to Dracula's Castle.

Launch day is near! PS3/Wii-kend Launches.
CoasterJunkie replied to Homer's topic in Random, Random, Random
So I stopped in the local Walmart yesterday..No line, but the PS3 they had on display was locked up..not a good sign. They also were putting up a sign saying they were only getting 10 PS3's total on launch day...WOW...10...that sucks for anyone coming in at 12:30 or so.. -

I read an article this morning stating that some games are not backwards compatible with the PS3. Sony is taking the stance as "Yeah, we knew that going into it, and there is nothing that can be done." This right here is the reason I do not need a PS3 right, plus the fact there is nothing out right now that I HAVE to have. I have been a die-hard Nintendo person since the NES. I got my cube from Walmart, the day of release, first person in my Walmart to get one, at 2am, on the way home from a trip to WDW..LOL. I plan to get a Wii VERY soon...and Zelda of course. -
I for one, being a Winter Haven local, am looking forward to the changes for the park. I cant always go to Disney or the other parks, and CG is only about 10 min from my house. I found that I didn't go much do to the hefty price for parking, even as an AP holder. The Publix was always busy because of this.. I was torn about renewing my pass, and I do believe I will renew now. Even a few more thrill rides, like the coaster will make me happy. The area is growing, they are adding a small shopping venue out front, including restaurants. I believe the pass holder thing is to maybe get someone who would never dream of going to CG, a second thought being its free to see...just my idea on that one. Good Luck CG!!! You can pull out of this.
