the aftermath should be evaluated by what a reasonable person who is at an amusement park would do. this person was a flaw in humans who attend these parks. it shouldnt have went on the ride period. <-period -

this is serious business...elissa pointed out the flaws.... none..... there will be retards who can't handle a ride now and then. if they aren't able to evaluate their own situation prior to their visit then it IS their own fault -

whats up Paramount?
Domm replied to stricklandCC's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I know that stealth wasn't the best ride. It was another ride though. I do remember the wait times as well. I only went in after 6 so the lines weren't bad at all. Definitely need another good ride to make for a good solid day there. Rapids is a good crowd pleaser but isnt great for everyday. -

im with you on 'what's up?' I got a season pass there this year for the first time since 2000. I wanted to kinda relive the fun of going there weeknights after 6 to get on all the fun rides and have a blast for two hours. After two visits I realized that there were some serious voids. I remember a lot of great times hitting up vortex, demon, drop zone, grizzly, days of thunder, orleans orbit, greezed lightning, stealth and top gun. I seriously missed the three big ones: OO, Stealth and GL. If they made more money with the new water park, great. I understand. It just is not the same or as fun at all. They added survivor which was a great baby step back to what the place was. I'm going to be watching very closely to see what happens in the next few years with hope that the place will do something with the limited land they have left. I took a survey on their site in hope that somebody with power will read what I had to say and take into consideration that there still is a percentage of their audience that cares about new attractions. -

nice little bump you pulled there.... top gun is the best at pga, but really that is where it ends. best- tatsu worst- grizzly -
i think the drop zone death at great america was crazier because it really happened. http://www.svcn.com/archives/sunnyvalesun/08.25.99/drop-zone-9934.html

Photo TR: SFMM with the VIP Thrill Pass
Domm replied to SoCalDude's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
it does not work for dejavu either. definitely get the flash pass with or without vip. $15/4 passes without vip. I bought 8 for $30 and didnt use 2 of them and got on everything but x and dejavu -

hey! i was there that day too. finally used my free ticket after my 8th vip visit. i've been going after 6 week nights lately. the lines are perfect at that time. that was the one day that i finally told myself id do survivor but yup it was still closed. why'd you skip grizzly? i dont think its a great ride but do it everytime anyway cause its a walk on. they gotta get orleans orbit up and running again. it would make the visits a lot better. -

I just got back from my trip there yesterday. Haven't been there since 01 so it was pretty exciting. I took the tips from here and got there at 9:50am and went directly to the back of the park. THANK YOU for the advise. 1st ride: Scream. Nobody was there, my friend and I were first ones. Did that one 3 times before anyone else even arrived. Tried front twice and back once. The ride was more fun on the front without any cars in front of us. Never been on it before and liked it a lot. 2nd ride: Batman. Nobody there yet either. Did the front once and that was that. I'm used to Top Gun in Great America Santa Clara which is similar but way shorter. This ride kicked ass. 3rd ride: Riddler. Went on the front once and back once, did not get off except to switch. No line. This is like Vortex at Great America but 100% more fun and twice as long. Loved it. Went back to our hotel to meet a friend around 11. That place takes a long time to walk around! We came back around 12:30 and each purchased 8 flashpases. 4th ride Viper: No line so no use for flashpass. I remembered this ride being a lot more fun, but it was still tall and somewhat cool. 5th ride Tatsu: Flashpass, nobody in que. The ride was fun. Best part IMO was the loop. I'd say it was the best one we went on, but no way in hell was I about to wait in that ridiculous line. 15 bucks goes a long way with those flashpasses. Sacrificing food and drinks there to purchase them was a great idea. 6th ride: Rapids ride. Used flashpass and got right on. This thing filled up the floor of our raft deal with water. It was fun for what it was but now my shoes are all wet! 7th ride Cyclone: No line right on. Not a great ride but good time killer. 8th ride Spin Out: I like it for some reason so we did it twice. No line. 9th ride Riddler: Had to do it for new friend. Used flash pass and it was ridiculous. It just put us in the back of the inside que. Took forever, around twenty minutes. 10th ride Scream: Had to do it for new friend. Used flashpass and got right on. 11th ride Goliath: Used flashpass and got in in 4 minutes. This is the ride I enjoyed most my last visit but it really didn't get me the same this time 12th ride Colossus: No line, no flashpass. Had to do this one for Chevy and Step by Step. 13th ride Ninja: Did it for old time sake. 4-5 minute line 14th ride the flying 'pay per ride' one: Friend paid for it so had to do it. Fun for a second. Then we took off again for a while to meet another friend and get lunch and hang out for a while. Just my original friend and I came back a little after 8 with intention of going on X 15th ride Viper: No line so went right on. 16th ride Tatsu: Had to use up these flashpasses! waited about 20 minutes because they replaced a train, ridiculous but understandable. We were right on schedule to get to X before 9 without the Tatsu train replacement. We ran as fast as we could and got there at 9:01 and got the bad news along with four other people that we were a minute too late. DAMN!! oh well 17th ride Revolution: Did this one for Chevy Chase (left my beebee gun at Big 5). This thing was jerky as hell. I dont remember it being that nuts on my neck but WOW it was bad. 18th ride Viper: Stayed on this one three times until we couldnt take it anymore. Overall I had a blast. It was a bit expensive with the gas/hotel/online ticket/8 flashpasses but I wouldn't take it back. Next time, which may be soon, my goal is to do X and DejaVu- which had a line that was too long and didn't accept flashpasses. The only thing I would change is to get on DejaVu in the morning with a minimal wait and buy only 4 flashpasses at first. You can keep buying them so that isn't a problem. Superman was closed and that was a bummer. I thought for a friday I would be in lines all day long. I was wrong. Arriving early and purchasing flashpasses were the best decisions I could have made. Hopefully the new owners will build some new rides at Great America so I won't have to drive 3 1/2 hours!
