Cedar Point (CP) Discussion ThreadDomm replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys! Is this true? I'm in california at Great America, current platinum passholder and considering doing all park season FL. Could I purchase a new platinum pass via CW with all park FL and activate it at Great America? Also, does anyone know if the all park FL is FL+?

For railblazer go through fast lane as a single rider. Shouldn’t be too long of a wait. You can see Goldstriker’s line from the courtyard. If it’s around the tunnel should be like 15 mins max. Flight deck not sure, it’s such a short ride but takes forever to load and unload. If you can’t see the line just walk up, it should be fairly painless. I’m looking forward to seeing what kind of progress, if any, has been made at loggers and yankee harbor as a whole. Last I checked they took out the lake across from roaring rapids and the bridge. That was a left over from yankee clipper? Either way, between that, the Endeavor site, the loggers site and the snoopy show stage site we’ve got a lot to work with. Not to mention the go carts (if they’re also on the chopping block) as well. The other great America could shoe horn in two water parks and 6 coasters with that amount of real estate;-) Have fun & report back your findings!!

The only differences I could see between regular and gold season passes are parking and bonus friend ticket on select days. If you go to the Flash Sale and look under MEMBERSHIP VS PASS - A GUIDE at the top of the page, it will take you to a checklist of all the benefits for each level. I was only able to capture part of the screen so it best to visit the page yourself. https://www.sixflags.com/magicmountain/store/flash-sale#ref51057 thanks for the heads up socaljason! this was a huge help. we usually stay at the hilton at the bottom of the hill and get the shuttle in so parking might not be an issue. never been to the water park though so might try to get over sooner than later

Cedar Point (CP) Discussion ThreadDomm replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys! At the park for my first time last night and today. Lots of walk ons like the oldies and maxair but the rest have substantial lines and it would be a nightmare without FL+. The early entry with platinum/hotel was extremely important for steel vengeance. Even running at 9 got us on train 3 and then the line was about 60 minutes. Crazy! Fast lane doesn’t open until 10. We went back to SV at 10:10 and FL was 30 minutes. By the time we got off it was way longer. Gotta get there early for SV for early entry and then right when FL opens otherwise you’re SOL and wasting time in line that could be spent having fun otherwise.

Cedar Point (CP) Discussion ThreadDomm replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys! Northern Californian heading to CP for the first time this Thursday to Saturday night. Will arrive at Breakers around 8pm and park is open til 11. Have all day Friday, then get a Lyft back to Cleveland airport at 4pm Saturday. We plan on getting Fastlane Plus for Friday- should I get this online or day of at the park? Price difference? Any guidance would be great. The idea is to get a lay of the land Thursday night from 8-11pm then do early entry Friday morning (we also have Platinum passes). Again early entry Saturday morning. Any tips and tricks given our circumstances are absolutely appreciated. Been looking forward to experiencing this park for YEARS! The day is almost here Also any good floors/rooms etc to stay on at Breakers? We got an email asking if we wanted to upgrade to floor one. We assume FL+ doesn't apply to the water park too?

I'm just shocked they haven't announced the date yet considering they have riders on it, even if they are employees. Employees riding doesn't mean anything. Employees are exempt from the state law requiring approval from the state to ride. They could still be days or weeks away depending on a lot of factors. The dipping dots guy (guy working the stand with Railblazer beer) said 2 weeks. Was one of the employees who rode. Sounded totally reliable /sarcasm.

They have no idea what platinum is and when they do it’s a shock. Like, “whoooooooa! Platinum??? Royalty.” The park as a whole is on a much lower level of talent than other parks, nearby or far. Hope that doesn’t hold up ops for railblazer Would be great if they get it opened this weekend. Saw a pix a couple days back of maintenance guys riding it.

Looks awesome! Thanks for the pix. I'm taking a gamble and flying down Sunday May 13 - Tuesday 15th hoping to get a couple of preview rides. Judging by the progress things are looking promising. At the very least will be able to check out the gold/platinum passholder preview at Soak City on the 13th I signed up on Knotts.com to get updates, should that be enough to get notified?

So funny! He was adamant about it being ‘the way rollercoaster concepts were sold back then- because video POV’s weren’t a thing yet.’ Had a suspicion there was a hint of blah blah blahshyt in there. Either way, would have been cool to see it working. Hope we get some hints on what’s going in the cleared space soon! Rip out the go-carts too!

Went today as well. All rides were walk-on's. Park was empty, felt even emptier after walking by the former sites of Endeavor and Loggers!! They had a cool Top Gun miniature an employee claimed was used to sell the model to the park. It wasn't working today though it'll be interesting to see how much progress will be made on this by next weekend

Hey there! California native here planning a trip in early-mid April for 3 weeks to travel parts of Europe. We're looking at spots to visit right now and would like to check out France, Croatia & Italy. I've only been to Italy once and that's it for that part of the world so I am pretty green still. We'd love to check out some parks while out there but are totally unfamiliar with whats good/bad and in that vicinity. Would love to hear any experience the TPR forum has to help guide our planning

Just wrapped up all three. Did knotts last thursday, universal this thursday and sfmm last night. The consensus around here is that knotts was better than universal this year- I went to knotts first (opening night) then universal and I thought the opposite. It had been since 2015 since I went to universal, but I found it to be way better mazes and scare zones. The mazes are much longer, more elaborate with easy to follow story lines and the detail/talent are top notch. Mummy and night time jurassic park were damn fun as well. Terror tram had a great interactive set up inside the bates motel set. There was one throw away maze next to the walking dead, forgot the name as well- so pretty much totally forgettable! SFMM last night on Friday was VERY quiet. Rides were 5-10 min max including X2 and who wouldn't buy the express maze pass for just $10 more? Great night on that minimal budget. Vault 666 and Reds revenge are still the best ones, but totally low expectations and it was fun. The 3d one next to vault and reds was extremely fun with awesome visuals. Bang for the buck though- knotts for sure.

Lets break this down:... Crowds should be minimum until around 3pm when FF peeps start showing up. Be on lookout around 9pm as once Universal sells out (which it has 3/4 times so far this season) the peeps rejected from there seem to show up at SFMM. Weekday being a Friday sure wont be early arriving crowd and all local schools are in session so should be sweet until around 3 when it will be steady flow into the park. The Heat is only projected in low 90's and for most locals that's a cooling trend as we had been rolling around 114 so the temp is non issue as they will come. Apocalypse i would wait to ride until later in the evening when your back in that area to go to the maze Aftermath. There really is nothing in that area of the park to do unless you like fudge at Coaster Candy Company. If you choose to ride Apocalypse during the day ask any ride attendant or security officer if its open as again it would save you a walk to that back side of the park if its not open. Maze express pass is listed at $32 on the SFMM site for Friday the 29th and season passholes save $5 when the maze pass is purchased at the park. Yes in / out is available at night just get hand stamp. Of course you will lose your good early parking spot and might be parking in Fillmore when you return. VTown! Thank you for the detailed reply!! This is awesome & also good news. We haven’t EVER been to the mountain at a time when it’s dead. Always the game of getting there early at rope drop with the credit card or gold pass entrance and racing around til the crowds reach the back of the park, then flash passing. Crazy to hear about the universal overflow situation, makes sense though! We just got back from universal and it was a fantastic event. The new shining, saw and (I think also new) titans of terror were a ton of fun. That demon scare zone going into the lower lot of 3 mazes was a nice surprise too. Thanks again for the good info.
