And the 135L. Totally forgot about that lens. Im not in the market for primes yet so I always forget about that thing. Protech eh? I will need to check that out...the 100-400 is a beast to the tune of 3lbs.

I had a feeling it was with that lens. But the 1.4 you still get some incredibly sharp shots. That Version II is almost impossible for any other lens to live up to right now with the exception of maybe the 100mm Macro L. Thats an incredibly potent combo, 70-200 II and the 5D3. Not sure in the right situations that can be beaten. Oh well.

And what lens was that with? Yea the detail at 6400 is pretty insane. Stop making me jealous. I want to put parts and money into my car, not another body upgrade! LOL

If that hurt your feelings...well... *shrugs* Constructive Criticism. Its usually never rainbows and unicorns. Usually it involves some sort of "you did this not so great, here's how you do it better" type of response. And around here (and a lot of the world) usually some sort of sarcasm is involved. But Robb is right here, never should VIDEO be taken in portrait mode. Still pictures yes, Video, no.

That is akin to finding the holy grail. Youre too generous. I think you mean the holy grail that spills forth the fountain of youth when you tip it over. That sounds a bit more close. -
wow only 81k on it? Thats kinda low. Should be able to double that with good maintenance easily. And I almost got a Miata but didnt really want the RWD around Northwest Ohio. This last winter wasnt bad but I still didnt want to deal with it when winter did get nuts. But yea, a turbo'd miata would be PLENTY of power. My WRX is 3100lbs at 265 and its QUITE quick. So I can imagine losing 900lbs would just make that a very brisk little driver.

Ugh, I will probably have to look into one next year! Though I dont think Ill ever abandon this 7D unless I go to a Mark1 simply because I do so much sports/moving stuff. Im really anxious to take this to CP with the 8FPS since I really like to work with panning shots and see what kind of gems I can get. an extra 2 per second should increase the keeper rate and the overall AF system in that is far better than my 40D which I did pretty well with. Going to be a fun summer. I have an autocross event in just over 9 days. Going to be working on long shutter shots as well as exercising that 8FPS.

Yup that looks like Lake Erie. Hows that 5D3 treating you? Loving it Im sure.

I marathoned it and only had a slight headache. And that was before and after the JOLT before the last 90 was attended to. Call me a masochist...but I still loved it. I did make the mistake of riding Mean Streak before it got work in the back and came away with a really nasty headache that took 1000mg+ by the time the day was over to dull the pain. Also LOL @ anology. Love it. -
Went to my local National Nature Preserve (well...used to be local till I moved to the other side of town) hoping to capture the Bald Eagles I saw on Easter. Well, instead of the grownups, I caught a Juvi!

Yes, we plan to run both (we'll only have a few of the 8-seaters). I'm waiting for the second design to arrive before adding info to our website. That is good news. I was REALLY looking forward to the rotation. Thats going to be a wicked byproduct of all the turns and currents (both water and magnet). I was almost going to be sad that I wouldnt get to go backwards through parts of it -

Wait, what did I miss? So there wont be clover leaf boats on Mammoth then? -
Yup. Great choice, those are hot rims man. http://www.topgear.com/uk/photos/pictures-the-new-srt-viper-gts-2012-04-04 How hot is this car? Its got the curves of the original Vipers. The massive V10. Ferrari inspired interior AND handling (As evidenced by the X Brace over the engine and significant upgrades to suspension). I am VERY excited to see if this returns the Viper to its spot amongst the conversation when we talk about some of the best cars in the world.

^ Agreed. Also, has it always had 7 cars? Thats something I dont think I remember. Either way, at first the train colors were a bit scary but now they look great. -

Yea its personal preference really. The BTR's and Raptors I feel dont really give you any feeling of floating at all, just trying to rip you from the seat which is fun as well. However I think from a design standpoint its flawed in B&M's eyes and is why over time it has gone away. They look for the most comfortable ride possible and elongating the rotation through the roll provides that. But I will say, the first time I rode a Zero G like that (Hydra's for example) I was kinda blown away. That slow roll combined with actual weightlessness was pretty awesome. For once I felt the airtime portion of the parabola and rotated without smashing in the headrest. Two different (completely) rolls but both really fun. I wouldnt expect another roll from them to feature strong rotational G's ever again really. -

Weird you would say Talon has a "bitch slap roll" which I assume relates to a lot of rotational whip. I found that Talon had the opposite of that. It was very smooth, fluent with consistent and predictable forces. Now, BTR or Raptor - those are the bitch slap. I look at Talon as the "second" generation of Zero G's. More fluid. Smoother. Rotation is spread across more of the parabola than Raptor or BTRs. Then came the third gen, the Patriot's and Hydras where you can almost tell the rotation is spread over almost the entire parabola. I didnt get any real whip from Talons, just beautiful Zero G in motion. However I think Patriot, Black Mamba and this have the third gen which is a much longer rotation. IMO, its still as fascinating because while the shorter whip has the impression its more "intense", I also really like a slower roll because it has that feeling of "whens this thing gonna end" to it. I love both, but for entirely different reasons. Just had to say that. ive never heard someone put Talon in the same category as BTR - or even close to it. -

Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread

Doesnt mean your rich, wealthy, etc. What if you just saved up a bunch of money for this trip? Know how expensive a Disney Vacation can be? My family did the first 2 in cash and wow - once I was older and they explained the costs, I was pretty blown away. Ive seen some pretty "low class" families there at Disney but just them being there means theyve sunk a lot of cash into the trip more than likely. It doesnt make them rich. Just like Q bot or Fast Lane doesnt make classes. PEOPLE make classes. If everyone in line considers them a higher class, shame on them. Cedar Point is giving options because they know their lines are some of the longest in the world. For those people who dont have a season pass like myself (Does that make me smug? Because I can go 20 times a year?) its a GREAT option. Itll cost you and it doesnt put you in another class. Just means you want to enjoy all CP has to offer and you only have a limited time frame to do it in - thats all. -

Never heard of Jeremy Camp? Hes huge...lol. Look at the christian music charts, youll find Camps name all over it. Hes a bit softer though so if you focus on only the harder rock you might not hear him. But yea I think Ill still be going down there this year. Not sure if Ill be there for Holiwood Nights or not but Ill be there this year. -
Always hated their grill/front end designs. Props though for using many ZZzzzZzzzzzzz.
