  1. Creative director? Wow that must've been a cool job Shane. I think eating too much Halloween candy has been known to induce Montezooma's Revenge in more than a few children. By the way, gorgeous view in that card!
  2. Shane do you remember which Marriott's GA park that Demon card is from? I'm thinking it must be from the Illinois park as I really can't remember the California Demon having all that rock work and pics on RCDB only show a rock tunnel right after the first drop for the Cali park.
  3. SDL looked so much better back then. Thanks for posting that sweet shot Shane!
  4. I think you must be correct Kingbooba. That would make the most sense. Shane & restoca...more great additions for the SCAREadise series. I appreciate your full support! I remember The Demon also being my first Arrow shuttle and after riding it thinking how much better Laser Loop at Kennywood (my first Anton shuttle) was. Nice to have our first European postcard addition with Big Dipper. How great to start it with a John Miller no less and a coaster I've always wanted to ride. That turret turn after the lifthill has always intrigued me. More on Europa soon.
  5. ^ That's exactly the spirit I was trying to go for with this SCAREadise series, so that's perfect Shane. It doesn't neccessarily have to scream out Halloween in the card (there's a hint for next week's card)...just be loosely asociated with the holiday. And yes that's a wicked logo! Edit...I just noticed the card says 1972 yet none of those coasters were built then. How bizarre! Great link restoca!
  6. ^ Cool card! Wasn't Witching Waves the ride where the "floor" undulated and caused the cars to move forward around an enclosed area? If so, could the cars be steered? This is one of those rides you never hear that much about, and I'm not sure there were ever that many built. Maybe this is the forerunner of modern day bumper cars.
  7. ^^ Awesome...I would LOVE to see postcards from Italian parks! ^^^ Amazing (and certainly rare) Rail Blazer card!
  8. To kick off the Halloween "SCAREadise" series, here's a postcard from an infamous little place known as Sleepy Hol...errrrr...Holiday World and The Legend! To the bridge Ichabod! Don't lose your head over this one!
  9. But did you win a plush mushroomhead in a game?
  10. restoca...Great autumn colors in that card! You really don't see this type of card anymore where it looks like a painting (is this a lithograph?) - usually it's a photograph, but this type of card is a great set up for the first in the SCAREadise series starting tomorrow.
  11. That's amazing Shane. It might even top the Troy theme song!
  12. ^^ Yes hard to believe OL is gone *period* for most of us Nashvillians. I live less than 10 miles from the former park site and often drive by where it used to be and where a mills mall now sits. restoca...This is a great card and features what are probably my favorite park mascots ever. I have many awesome memories from this place. Thanks! ^ Shane...haha definitely not the Judge or SE! Looks like SFOG's GASM to me. I wonder if that SF trickery might make this card slightly more valuable.
  13. These are some of the best photos I've seen from HRP. Thanks for sharing with us!
  14. Big Mike I highly recommend Gilroy Gardens too. It almost feels like you're back in one of those parks on the Europe trip, and no other park smells so fresh IMO.
  15. Great stash of stuff to find. Thanks for sharing!
  16. Some absolutely fantastic contributions today guys. Thanks! ^^ I would've loved to have ridden Wiener Looping. It's always fascinated me. ^^^ Shane (or anyone)...can you verify what the Schwarzkopf looping coaster is in the background of the CNE postcard? It looks a bit like Doppel-Looping from the catalog you shared with us. ^^^^ Great view of the Haunted Mansion Ryan!
  17. Really SWEET way to kick off season 2 Shane! I can't wait to get home from work so I can fully DIGEST all this chocolatey goodness! ps...happy belated birthday!
  18. WOW guys with all of your contributions this thread has hit the front page news section of TPR! Many thanks to you all and keep those postcards coming in! Thanks Robb and Elissa for the spotlight!
  19. WOW...What an amazing contribution restoca! I noticed the postcard is post dated 1932 also! Thanks for sharing with us this awesome view of Airplane. I'm looking forward to seeing more from your collection. And yes I would love for more people to share their cards here in this thread. The more the merrier!
  20. Interesting addition there Shane. Accordng to RCDB, Montana Rusa is one of only 3 operating mobius coasters left in the world. You'll have to let us know how those UNPADDED (???) LAPBARS feel!
  21. EPIC pics Peter! I think I must do Korea someday soon. Thanks for sharing these.
  22. With autumn arriving this past week, it's time to say goodbye to summer with a sunset like view over one of my *very* favorite places on earth, Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. Vamp out! Starting next week is the exclusive "Postcard SCAREadise" series! Back Front - That might be one of the two Coreys hanging out in the lower right corner.
  23. Atlantis Adventure looks almost as awesome as the beer! Thanks for the vid Robb.
  24. I certainly had no idea that Revo could thread the loop while another train inverted. Awesome! After this summer's return to form on the train paint colors, here's hoping Jay Thomas can get rid of the OTSR's on it next. Nice colored pencil work on Bloop by the way.
  25. Peter...Thanks for more Intamin sex pics! Kawasemi looks TOO good. You took some great shots of it. Also, it still amazes me how empty the Japan parks can be until you go to TDL, USJ, or FujiQ. Yeah I was about to ask about the Qoo credit(s) and how many you got. Orange was my fav of the two flavors I tried. Are there other flavor flavs besides orange and apple? Also I meant to mention the picture of Max in my previous post. Hope to try that next summer.
