  1. Zombieland should've been filmed here. Those are some really post apocalyptic looking photos at the website link. Pretty sad.
  2. Voted. It's now up to 16th place! Only 6 more places to go since it just has to be in the top 10 to receive the Pepsi $50K funding. Come on TPR...let's do this!!!
  3. I won't miss Road Runner Express at all. I'm surprised SF didn't take Deluge, though maybe the cost of dismantling and moving it was cost prohibitive.
  4. Larry, what a charming looking village to walk through on your way to Erlebnispark Strasswalchen. Great update, and I can't wait to see more!
  5. Dave those are awesome postcards! I would love to have you post them (and any others you have) in my Postcard Paradise thread so they could be indexed for people to easily find them again in the future. Great stuff!
  6. This thread gets the official Postcard Paradise seal of approval. WOW and thanks!
  7. For all of you going to SFGAdv today to get your last rides on GASM, here it is in all its Ron Toomer coat hanger bending glory!
  8. That happened to me for a while when I updated my browser to IE7. Somehow it sorted itself out without me doing anything. Screamscape is working for me right now.
  9. I'm enjoying this thread a lot. Thanks for sharing your old photos! Do you have anything from Opryland or the Nashville Fairgrounds Skyliner coaster?
  10. HOORAY!!! Happy happy joy joy and welcome back Big Mike. We've all missed you. I can't wait to see where you're going. Have a great time!
  11. Now that's what I call an arcade!
  12. I second that. It was running great when I rode it last year!
  13. Just when I don't renew my subscription to Game Room magazine, Castles n' Coasters in Phoenix gets the cover story: http://www.gameroommag.com/index.php Does their arcade feature pinball?
  14. Since the new King Kong attraction has opened on the Universal Studios Hollywood tram tour, I thought it time to show the old Kong...pre-charcoaling. Oh and also here's a bonus for all you SoCal residents who felt a little ground shake this past week. Poor old Kong got thrown on the grill. The new replacement Kong sounds fairly cool! EARTHQUAKE...and an unacceptable amount of wetness. 8.3! An enhanced Earthquake with an unacceptable amount of wetness. A slightly more vivid 8.3!
  15. BRAVO. The magazine is insanely awesome!!! What an honor to have my Postcard Paradise spotlighted too. Thanks Robb, Elissa, and all who worked on the publication. VERY well done!!!
  16. Well I should have said on my way to the Jersey Shore ala Morey's.
  17. Really glad I got to ride J2 on my visit to the Jersey Shore back in 2005. Fun and pretty intense coaster. Thanks for this update.
  18. ^ QFT. It can be quite funny, but there's really a dramatic side to the show as well. Reruns tonight!
  19. 7th post on the 7th day of the 7th month. Hmmm....
  20. I'm not sure how close Austin is to you, but it looks like there is a couple of Alpine Slides there: http://www.texasactionpark.com/ Hope that helps.
  21. The finale of my Holiday World/Koch family tribute concludes today with an Independence Day bang featuring Liberty Launch from the park's 4th of July area plus some bonus park mascot trading "baseball" cards and rare brochures from when the park was Santa Claus Land (amazing what you can find hidden away in your own closet). Enjoy, and thank you Koch family and HW employees! Happy 4th of July America! It's not the biggest but be not deceived...Liberty Launch packs a good punch! SALUTE. Hey the whole gang is here! Silly Holidog...it's not Halloween yet. That's more like it Holidog. 1940's and '50's The 1981 brochure when Holiday World was Santa Claus Land. Hey it's...Holiduck??? Food and fun in the 1980's The new "Blitzen" Pinfari coaster artwork and an unfamiliar park furry. Disco wear on the "Artic Circle" Roundup ride. The park used to operate until late November and admission was less than $6.00! In 1982, the park was still called Santa Claus Land. Free parking back in the early '80's too. An Alpaca...and Holimouse? In 1982 the park opened in mid-April. The admission price was very affordable...and still is.
  22. I was actually expecting a Schwarzy, but a B&M slide will do!
  23. Totally gnarly looking Shane! Thanks for sharing those pics and hope you have an awesome second season. Any hints at what might be coming to the Bay next year???
