Calling All Coaster Enthusiasts!
Sasquatch replied to bigjohnson51's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Name: Josh Cooper Age: 17 What is your roller coaster count? 45 What is your home park? Flamingoland (ugh) What is the nearest big city? Leeds (57 miles) What is your occupation? Baker! About how many times a year do you visit a park (including your home park)? At least 2 or 3. Money is tight! About how many times a year do you travel to a park that is not your home park? One or two. When you travel do you go primarily to amusement parks or do you also try and hit other sites? Just the park. What is the farthest you’ve traveled to go to an amusement park? Not counting dream world in australia, 120 miles. Does roller coaster time get in the way of family time? (Do you choose to miss your children’s or family’s sporting events, holidays, birthdays, etc…) Hell no! Family? Psshhh! Do you have any other major hobbies? Sound engineer Do you get feelings of sadness in the offseason? Do you even have an offseason? Do you travel during the offseason? Sadness?? Sometimes... Do you consider yourself friends with someone you met who works at an amusement park? (Or reverse it, if you work or worked and an amusement park have you made friends with enthusiasts?) Yeah, a bit. We kinda know eachother. Would it bother you to go to an amusement park by yourself? Not as much fun as with your best buddy! Have you gone to an amusement park by yourself? If so have you ever ran into another enthusiast and tagged along with them? Yes, and no! Do you find it easy to make friends with other enthusiasts? It depends. If they are nice and theyre hobby isn't constantly the centre of conversation then yes. How do you get your coaster news? This site! How many different forum sites do you regularly post on? This site! If there was a poll that asked a large pool of enthusiasts what their favorite roller coaster is, what do you think would be the top 3 responses be for wood? And for steel? Hmmmm.... Intamin would definately occupy the top spots. Just anything intamin. Same scenario but for amusement parks, what would be the top 3? Not sure, i believe each park has it's own merits, with the obvious exception of Fuji-Q. Have you ever “stole a kid” to get a credit on a kiddie coaster? Nope, i go by myself! Do you cut other categories out of your budget to make trips to parks? (Entertainment, fast food, holidays, tobacco or alcohol, etc…) Park and food is always number one. Last year I spent nearly £40 on McDonalds while at Alton Towers. Before you visit a new park do you research the park finding the best way to navigate the park, get the best deals, or what days to go? Yes, especially with what order to hit rides. Low capacity first, with the people-movers for later. Do you feel the roller coaster enthusiast community is a warm and accepting community, or a negative and discouraging community? It varies. Mostly other enthusiasts are rather welcoming, but there is the odd one that is just a bit less than nice. Do you like to talk about your hobby with people who are not roller coaster enthusiasts? Not as such, it's MY hobby and if they don't want to know then so be it. -

Seeing as my 3ds guy is nowhere to be seen, its time for THE QUEEN MOTHER of all my projects to be released. Lol. Jeepers Creepers!! Height: 78ft Speed: 48mph Length: 3372ft 10in Capacity: 850 riders per hour Trains: Millenium Flyers, 20 rider capacity. Don't be fooled by the trains; this ISN'T a GCI ride, it is just my coaster with good trains on it... they seem to flow better than PTCs. Screenshot! Speed! More mess! With trees! Tangled mess! Jeepers Creepers.nltrack Download! Fixed! -

I am sick of this ride... but I know that it can be made into something really cool. Anyone want it? 88ft height - 63ft Loop - 51ft Zero-G - 45ft stall turn - 35ft corkscrew. Custom station too. BM8.nltrack All yours! Have fun! -
January? Ha. HA. I have never EVER dated in my life. Partly to do with being gay and living on a small town, and partly who the hell knows! Maybe I'm a prick and don't realise!

This all boils down to how the government in most countries (mostly the USA and UK lol) is run. Which, everyone knows, is frankly terrible.

There are supposed to be reversing sections so you do part of the ride backwards. -
Volcanic Sunset [NL]
Sasquatch replied to RCT3D's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Good: -For the most part, very smooth. -I loved the broken bridge! -Setting -Big swooping drops -Very similar to something RCCA would do, except... good! Nicht so good: -There are a few sections where the forces get slightly out of hand (5.3G-vertical and 1.7G lateral are WAY to excessive). -3050ft isn't really long enough to justify the 160ft(ish) height -Supports are a bit 'fall-y down-y' -Some of the banking, like the first turn, is not needed, and would have been better left unbanked. Keep it up, I would really like to see more woodies from you! They're kind of my thing -

^Don't worry, once the main supports are in place it looks ok. I can see how it is misleading though. More updates coming soon, I am working on it as we speak! -

UPDATE TIME!! Nothing much to show for the last few days really, just some preliminary work on the supports for the next track sections. Some parts of the track have been smoothened out more and extra segments added, which meant completely re-doing the supports on the high-speed turn. Darn. Here are some screens: A few finished(ish) ones! -
Happy birthday Hector!
