Here it is! Leviathan's first full-circuit test! Sorry it's shaky, I had to run half way around the parking lot to get the video from this angle. -

Thanks Steve It just means you'll have that much more time to realize how high up you are! Update! Leviathan made its successful first test run at 6:17PM! Video to come tonight! -

If I remember correctly, the lift will go 4.5 metres per second. Minimal train movement has occurred between the maintenance bays, transfer track and station. Full circuit testing has not started yet. -

Just got back from the park (pictures to be posted this evening). Landscape work is being done around the base of the first drop. Fencing is up around all the low-clearance areas of the ride. No train visible anywhere on the course (including the lift hill). Pictures as promised: Landscaping continues near the front gate. No testing yet. No trains on the lift today. You can also see that the temporary supports have been removed. Fences have been added around the low clearance areas. The hammerhead almost looks like an inversion from this angle. -

^Yep, Superman! Even though the park was dead, the height-checker at the ride entrance would high-five me every time and say "Welcome back!" The crews were efficient despite one train operation (train was usually sent more than half empty it was so quiet). The crew over at Batwing was great as well. They were chatting with guests over the microphone. I don't think I can say a bad thing about the park operations. They were good at each ride. The ONLY blemish on the park was the old Two Face station area. I was really impressed with how happy and energetic the ride ops were despite the park being dead on a dreary, wet Sunday in May. -

Minebuster's hills were not re-profiled to fit Splash Works. The first and second bridges fit nicely between the bunny-hops. the second and third hills were combined into one long, forceless hill as the negative forces on the second hill were a maintenance nightmare. I assume the rest of the hills on the return trip were re-profiled to try and smooth them out which also left them forceless. It's a shame, it once provided a good amount of airtime. It really isn't too rough. Especially if you sit in the middle row of pretty much any car (seats not over wheels). -

Thanks to CWMania for the picture. Looks like the clearance test is happening on Leviathan. Full circuit testing should be starting SOON. The guys on the lift are holding it. -

After my only visit ever to SFA last spring, I would DEFINITELY go back to this park. Staff were great. Operations were very good for a cold, rainy Sunday in May. And I thought there was a fair variety of attractions to enjoy. It was so hard to believe it was the same park I had read so many horrible comments about in the past. -

Wow, hopefully that speed keeps up once the ride opens to the public! Europa Park keeps adding great attractions that are making it harder and harder to push off a flight over there! -
It's really impressive looking in the evening as it gets dark out when the flames are shooting out the top. It's great to look at and it's definitely a fun ride too!

I just wanted to throw in a thank-you to everyone that posted pictures of the tour. The more I see of this ride, the more I love it! I really love coasters that have a solid "beginning" prior to a lift/launch and this meandering through the black forest looks like a great way to start of a crazy coaster ride.

It really is amazing how quickly all the B&M's went up this year. It seemed to only be a few short months for all of them to go from footer to complete. I really hope this has as much (if not more) airtime as Behemoth. If it does, you won't be disappointed! -

I don't see a new woodie in Wonderland's near future. Ghoster Coaster is the best of the three. It was completely retracked a couple seasons back and rides amazingly smooth. Wild Beast has become very rough if you sit anywhere other than the front seat. And Minebuster has been retracked so many times it has no air (other than the first hill after the drop). I'd be happy if either of them got a complete retracking that actually made them smooth enough to enjoy in any seat and provide airtime like they use to! Maintain/improve what's old before investing in new wood. -

From what I've heard, this week was spent moving the trains around the transfer track and station areas. It hasn't made a full circuit run yet. Hopefully next week will be the big test run! -
I thought it was a fun ride. Love the double launch. As mentioned, get on it first thing in the morning. Depending on when you go, end of the day may be okay as well.

To be completely honest, with the looks of all the food, I don't know if I would have risked getting food poisoning from the escargot... Good on you guys for taking a bullet for our entertainment! -

Between the somewhat unique layout and amazing theming, this coaster just looks amazing. I love inverts (especially Montu) and this looks like it would provide a very unique experience. Now, how do I squeeze a visit to this park in with all the other European parks I want to visit???
