I'll be honest, there really isn't all that much there. I think that HellCat is very good. However, it really depends on if you like agressive rides. Some of the spots on the ride are considered rough by some accounts. Other than that ride, there is a decent flume, and a very small selection of flats. I do like the swings and the swinging bobs ride, but the park doesn't really offer much more than that. Depending on where you are planning on going there from in Philly on a Saturday, getting there could be a headache.

I don't know. Coming from a Devils fan, and a Brodeur lover, I really can't see them getting past the Canes in the first round. I think it is going to be really tough.

Yeah. You just wait until the playoffs, or play your way out of contention early. Did Atlanta win the division the last 2 years when the Mets let the lead slip? Oh yeah, that's right....

^ True. But you can really only see about a quarter to a third of the ride track from most of the pictures I have seen. I'm not sure what there is after the mid-course or anything like that. I think it is a decent move to give some love to this ride, however, I just never got how Medusa, and now Bizarro fits into the Western Themed area. I just wish Great Adventure, and Six Flags for that matter, woudl remain consistent with their themes through out the park. I mean, you go from a great area like Golden Kingdom, and then you head over to Frontier, and you think you walked into a completely differently managed park.

The Rumor / Crazy Idea Superthread

That would be pretty interesting, considering the current shape it's in. Maybe he meant donate it as scrap steel to raise money for the new area? -
The Rumor / Crazy Idea Superthread

^ And the fact that the locals don't want a wood in the park. -
Eh. Who cares how you win the title as long as you win it. And no matter what, at some point, whoever wins the title, technically went through Boston to win it just because they are in the playoffs. Even if they lose to someone, you kind of indirectly go through the Celtics because your team has to beat the team that beat the Celtics. My brain hurts now.

^^ You know what the really crazy thing is? The Marlins are right on schedule to win again this year. Going back through this thread, I'm really surprised I didn't make a long 2006 NLCS Willie Randolph rant. That is disappointing. I remember doing it in the dining hall back in college, but I guess it never translated over to the message boards.

<< Marlins fan who doesn't think the AL matters till October What about when the Marlins start losing to AL teams in interleague play? And I too love the Braves/Mets comment.

From an NBA fan perspective, I think that the KG thing sucks. From a Chicago Bulls fan perspective, I think that the KG thing ROCKS!

2008 Theme Park Attendance Reports
Hercules replied to a topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ I think it will be fine this year. I think the true test will be 2010. I think there will be some overflow attendance into this year, of locals that will still go there, and people traveling to the area that are planning a trip around it, or are just catching wind of the park. -
Where did the rush go?
Hercules replied to skaunit's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I still get a nervous kind of rush when I ride a large ride for the first time. There is just something about the unknown that kind of gets to me. Even though I have been on a lot of coasters, and other types of rides, and even though I know some layouts by heart or have seen a POV of the ride, there is nothing like actually getting onto the ride for real. But then after that, I tend to lose that rush kind of feeling. I tend to get bored with rides very easily as I get accustomed to them, unless it is a very good ride that I can have fun on. As Larry said, everyone gets desensitized when you do something a lot. The only ride that I have been on multiple times that I still get scared of is Kingda Ka. There are still a few rides that I have fun on when I get on them even though I have been on the many times, including: - Steel Force - Talon - Superman: Ride of Steel (which I guess will be Bizzaro soon) - Nitro - El Toro Just to name a few. I still attend the parks in my area every year because there is at least one rides that I'm not bored with, and can still get a little rush on, or just have fun riding. If I got bored with everything, there wouldn't be a point in making this a hobby of mine. The day I get completely numb will be the day I stop spending money on season passes, and take up base jumping. -

I love the Redskins logo. -
^ That won't do much unless you buy a Q-Bot.

Some state fairs that aren't wristband night can end up being $70! Seriously, I'm not sure what to think about $40 for this place. I haven't been there, so it is hard for me. From one end it seems like they have some stuff there to warrent the price tag, but from what I hear, they just don't have enough to warrent that high of a price. I know that $40 wouldn't get me there in hurry, and that is what I'm going off of. I'm not even sure if I would stop there for $40 if I were in the area for a couple of days from what I hear about the place.

^ I was just going to say, they totally send it anywhere you want. When I ate meat and cheese, Gino's was the place to be! Definitely in my top 3 pizza list. Freakin' amazing. I'm pretty sure it is the only place with valet parking AND total graffiti all over the walls. I love Chicago.

He is depressed because he doesn't have an amusement park close to him that he can go to, thus, causing him to not do his school work, or be able to get up and out of the house to go to church. Is it that hard to figure out?

Hersheypark Springtime in the Park
Hercules replied to Jman0477's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
You think it is going to be open by tomorrow? I think you are being a little optimistic. The park already said it won't open both of the coasters, it is not listed on the website to be open, and, just like when The Boardwalk was being constructed, Midway America will not be open. The last point being the major one - those are 3 things going completely against it being open at all. Don't get your hopes up.
