  1. I'm 5'11" and have no trouble fitting on Premier rides. I'm glad someone understood my attempt at a little humor Anyway, how many times do people have to keep posting that the ride will have a name shortly? Can't people read to figure that out?
  2. ^ I can see why! Anyway, I can see Son of Beast standing for about a year. There might be about a 5 year plan in order to get things straightened out with that area. The space the ride fills up is so huge, there is a lot of potential there not just for a coaster, but for a few good, people eating flats as well.
  3. It didn't because the link is just something people can use to bookmark the league once they are signed up.
  4. I will be there the beginning of December. Although I would really, really, really like to ride it considering this will be my only trip to Orlando for a long period of time, it is just a roller coaster. Life will go on if it isn't open the day I go.
  5. I'm 6'2" 215lbs and have no problem with their restraints. I also have a friend that's 6'5" and doesn't have a problem either... I am 5'11 190 lbs, and often walk of premier coasters with cramped legs. I'm 5' 10" 195 pounds and often see a lot of people complain on this site.
  6. What about the fact it took all of that money off of their cap?
  7. ^ In order to sign up for a yahoo league you need to post the league id#.
  8. I think it would be better for them long term to eat the cost of taking it down rather than bare the cost of maintanence and the possiblity of lawsuits in the future. Cut your losses and move on. Cedar Fair would be smart to get rid of it. Paramount made the mistake of building the thing.
  9. Ok, a few notes: - Scott - I totally still have that on VHS somewhere at my parents house. - I can't say anything about the Braves that hasn't been said already. - I can't agree more with the nice design of the outfield wall in relation to the stands. - McCarver makes me want to carve myself, and always has. Not to mention Ralph Kiner sounds like he is boozed up every time he steps into the booth. I haven't heard them in about a year, but I like the new Mets broadcast team, minus Keith Fernandez. - I have to side with Joe in the fact the bastard should have been DQ'd for running on the grass, assuming Joe's perception was not tainted by too many alcoholic beverages at that time. I cried foul weeks ago during the pierogie race in Pittsburgh when the purple pierogie clearly touched the turf. - Not only have the injuries to the Mets killed them this year, but they have killed my fantasy team this year (Reyes and Beltran). 5 years an counting in the playoffs..... not going to happen. - Gil Hodges = has to be in the hall - Screw the chop
  10. Damn you Scott!!!! STOP TOYING WITH MY EMOTIONS!!!! I NEED HRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!
  11. Of course I am being serious. I would also like to know if I get a discount on a baker's dozen of sodas on the opening day of the coaster.
  12. Bill - I always love the old school look of your new school photos. I think you do a great job, and I really enjoy your reports.
  13. So, I heard those rings are up. Can someone confirm that is true?
  14. Hmmmmm..... I wonder who sold, and printed those beautiful tickets..... Nice little report.
  15. www.savebigbadwolf.net.com.org
  16. Government matters are much more important than a roller coaster. I guess that depends on the person though.
  17. It would certainly be a total waste of your time to send a complaint. Chances are will not be addressed, and you will look like a fool in doing so. Have some respect for the company, and yourself. Just enjoy that last days, remember the past. I'm sure they have excellent reasoning for this. They are a business, and their first concern is their bottomline, not a bunch of whiny coaster brats.
  18. Ok. I am going to take some time out of my work day to give a few thoughts - and in doing so, I am going to ignore some past posts in an attempt to not be rude because some of the things that are being said are just hilarious. I was not a "coaster enthusiast" until the Fall of 2004. After a great trip to Hersheypark and an unforgettable night right now Storm Runner, followed by a trip to Dorney Park that had me find out that Hercules had been torn down (which was followed by endless nights of searching for pictures and answers as to why it was which had me stumble across themeparkcritic), I was hooked. However, my intrigue with coasters and amusement parks started at a young age. I have to credit a couple of things - first, R.L. Stine's book The Beast, which features The Beast at King's Island. But before that, I credit Busch Gardens - I was fascinated with the Loch Ness Monster, and of course, the Big Bad Wolf. For many years I wanted to get down to the park, and I begged my parents to take me. I saw pictures and videos of the rides in motion, and I was in awe. It was incredible. Finally, in 2006, I had the opportunity. Tricia had taken a job in the Norfolk area. After a long couple days of apartment hunting, we decided to reward ourselves with passports to Busch Gardens, and we spent a long afternoon into the night at the park. The first ride of the day - Loch Ness. The second, and most memorable - The Big Bad Wolf. It was a wonderful day. I will always remember it. We made about 5 trips after that during that fall, however, we did not get back to the Wolf due to it being closed, or having a long line. I figured I would get back there one day to ride it again. Alas, that is not the case. In my mind, it is a true legend, and I am very sad to see it go. However, I can completely understand, as it is business, and sentimentality must be pushed aside. I will always remember the ride as it was a big part of my childhood, and I credit the ride for opening my eyes to many fun experiences, old, new, and future.
  19. ^ Well, technically, it was a no-hitter. He walked Sammy Sosa, and then picked him off of first. Other than that, it was a perfect game. I always saw a no-hitter/perfect game as a 300 in bowling. You always need that one frame that you throw a less than perfect ball to rattle the pins around. You really do have to be really good to pitch/bowl that well in baseball/bowling. I have a lot of respect for him now.
  20. You really like breaking up the conversations that are going on within the thread, don't you? Just a thought on Buehrle - I never liked him. I always thought his stuff was just ok. I didn't think he was as true ace because there were some games where he would just blow up in the first inning or two. Then I started to hear all of this Hall of Fame talk about him this year. Now I'm starting to watch his starts more closely. I'm starting to become a bit of a fan.
  21. I have to say, I was beyond pleased with my visit to PNC. It was a very, very nice park. I was also carded 5 times, which made me feel relatively not old.
