  1. I don't think they are making it seem like there will be a coaster at all. They haven't mentioned anything about a coaster. They are just making people wonder what it is in a creative way. It is people's extremely high and unrealistic expections that make people thing they will get a coaster every single year.
  2. Does anyone have any updates? (I kid of course)
  3. ^ They definitely should know Big Mike by now. They should also know that Norman Cook is Fatboy Slim
  4. A monitor?
  5. If you use that logic, Nostradomus could strike out too, and be wrong in his predictions all the way to 2979!
  6. Now NOTED! Learn something new every day. Would Moby be considered a DJ?
  7. ^ It already hit the "rediculous" fan, and yet somehow is still moving forward!
  8. ^ Certainly a great addition to the list. What about Fatboy Slim? So, as an ongoing tally, you are only allowed to post the following DJ's when they die: Grand Master Flash Norman Cook (AKA Fatboy Slim) DJ Jazzy Jeff Funkmaster Flex Mix Master Mike Jam Master J - Already deceased.
  9. I do believe Mumbo Jumbo now has the steepest first drop in the world, so the claim is correct. There have been a lot of rides that have been built in the last few years that have been touted as the steepest in the world. It has become a way to make a ride marketable and noteworthy.
  10. Can a dude from CrazyTown really be considered a celebrity?
  11. Damn. I thought this thread ended February 18, 2009.
  12. I'm not really worried about how this will change parks. I'm more interested to see what Disney will be able to do with the brand as far as movies go.
  13. I say they are probably going to get rid of everything in one shot. I think they want to get everything straight, on track, and stop spending excess money on licensing that is costing them money. Just because they have other projects going on at the parks doesn't mean they can't deligate time and effort to getting everything switched.
  14. Definitely sounding like a water ride. Perhaps a themed log flume or a splash battle? ^ From page 543. Who is the idiot now?
  15. Meh, I'm still going with my gut with the Splash Battle, however, I could see a giant Intamin flume to rival the one at Holiday World. I've been sucked in to this thread and I just can't get out. Jay "Just like Scott, I don't really care what goes in..... unfortunately I'm trapped in the Twilight Zone of posting" Willis
  16. ^ Intimidator 305 makes you constipated?
  17. ^ I understood what you were saying in the first place. No need to change the quotes around. Where'd you find this information??? This might help narrow down the results. Are you serious? That wasn't a post of information. That was just him saying he wanted any of those kinds of coasters. I also know that Mack was taken out of the equation. However, I just don't know what else it could be other than a Splash Battle or a log flume of some sort. People are just holding on to hope for a coaster for no reason.
  18. Did I miss something? Did someone actually say something like this? Because if they did, that would be AWESOME! How many times do I have to say Splash Battle?
  19. ^ Well, he is a Lakers season ticket holder........
  20. Well the rumor is [which may or may not be true] that Universal wanted Rockit to be a B&M and B&M was busy with other projects so they went with Maurer This would make sense seeing as the Universal Japan coaster accomplised everything Rockit wanted but seems to fail at: high capacity, reliability, onride music, etc. So while they were announced at the same time, I would assume Sea World made the phone call to B&M first =P I do have to cut Universal some slack though, with that thing cycling all summer trying to get those loading platforms to work right etc at some point you just gotta open the ride. I hate getting in to rumor and urban legend discussions but..... perhaps it also had something to do with Busch's relationship with B&M. That may have swayed things in certain directions for multiple reasons.
  21. The one time that I went it was dead. That was I think 4 years ago, and I went on a Saturday from 4-9PM. However, I have heard many different accounts. Just from my experience: 1. Pretty dead. Not any build up in the bottleneck prone areas of the walkways. 2. The longest line I waited in was for Storm Runner, and it was about 20 minutes, which was a treat compared to the 2 hour long line I waited in just a month or so before. Most of the coasters were a 2-3 train wait. Many of the flat rides were a little longer because they were child and family friendly - 15 minutes each or so for most. 3. I'm going to guess Sunday? I'm not really sure. I have heard stories about the park being "busy" on just about all days including Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I think it is hit or miss sometimes. When I went it was a Saturday, and what I would consider a nice day (55 degrees and sunny) and the crowds weren't bad at all. I think you just have to get lucky.
