  1. http://www.pointbuzz.com/Gallery.aspx?i=4031 And, um... congrats on the 100th post?
  2. That'll probably be when BGE announces their new coaster as well. July's already had enough exciting stuff to tide me over for now.
  3. Nice... good to see some recent photos of that beautiful building. I feel the exterior looks better than the other two, blends in to the surroundings wonderfully. We have a building right here in Providence RI that has the exact same color scheme, brickwork with green tile roof, it even looks very similar in shape towards the top, I'll snap a pic sometime and show it.
  4. Oooo, cool rides AND sea critters, what could possibly be better? Thanks for the photos.
  5. It's funny (not the situation) but I was just at a carnival with some people from work (New Bedford, MA) and they had a zipper running. Everyone was saying how dangerous they were and I assured them they were completely safe and we'd ride it the following day. They're never gonna let me live this down. I used to really love the zipper that came through my hometown until one year my head just slammed into the bar (which was padded!) but still hurt, the bar that goes right in front of your forehead. I wish they would make a modern version of the ride, maybe with suspended seats and OTSRs to eliminate the "cage" situation. Sean ::every year I want to ride them less:: Costa
  6. One of the rumors going around is that BGE's new coaster will be a dive machine with wider, floorless trains so technically it would be unique to Sheikra or any other dive machine for that matter. Sounds pretty plausible, butI don't neccessarily believe that, and it IS just a rumor. So let's not get carried away like the retarded CP thread that has finally died.
  7. The way Jack Sparrow holds his pimp cup resembles that of Lil' Jon. Better?
  8. Hehehe, Jack Sparrow looks like lil jon with that pimp cup. YEAHHHHH!!!!
  9. I have an HP Pavillion a1007w and it works excellent. I would imagine it would work in most modern PC's. Definately get one, you don't know what you're missing! And thanks for the nice words on my little project.
  10. Why would you want to? You could probably throw a rock and hit SheiKra! Sooooon I will be a Floridian and know the pleasure of having a coaster in my state. (n/m all the other awesome stuff in FL)
  11. Yeah, I know like 50 other parks have that name... but it was originally going to go in the lumber camp section near "The Vision" but just didn't look right. I just like that name. At least it has original colors, hehe.
  12. Um, if you say it must be uncomfortable why would you want to do that? I suggest just staying indoors for that sort of thing, I wouldn't want to be the poor bastard that got into the car after them. ::also thinks its Gr. Adv. only because SFA doesn't have a wheel::
  13. I love dark rides, even the sometimes "cheesy" jersey shore boardwalk dark rides. They just seem to be a dying breed and I want to get as many in as possible. To answer your q- I went to Wildwood a few years ago and tried out the houses, there's quite a bit all over the shore, but these are wildwood's, note the changes. On the boardwalk Zombie World Den Of Lost Thieves Morey's Dante's Inferno (now Dante's Dunegon after being redone) Dark River (now Pirares after being redone) Jersey Junkyard (lamest of them all, no retheme) Curse Of The Mummy (no retheme) They had a really good walkthrough Castle Dracula on the boardwalk that burned down because some idiot kids had nothing better to do... The best haunted house on the whole shore is Stillwalk Manor in Seaside Heights, everything I would want in a modern haunted house, and it actually made me jump!
  14. When I rode drop zone at PKI years ago, I remember watching the ride cycle first and counting the seconds between the time it leaves the platform to the time it drops. I counted down in my head, it seemed to help a little with the anxiety. I have a feeling next year PKD's is going to give me a heart attack, because I'm scared to death of gyro drops but could never turn one down.
  15. It would be cool if they themed the ride to "harriers" which are hawks (also native to France and elsewhere) that are known to hover directly over their prey and strike vertically, even drowning large prey that can't be killed with its talons. A vertical takeoff and landing jet used in the Royal Air Force is named after this bird. <---Loves birdies...
  16. Forgive my ignorance, but what exactly were those big X's on the X train? Were they just decoration or is that where these "gears" are? I'm also curious as to the change in shape, because I'm assuming they do serve some purpose.
  17. "Mr. Six" is making a really well done fantasy Disneyland. It's worth getting the expansions and custom sets for, I'm sure.
  18. I had a hard time deciding which I preffered... Great White or Boulder Dash... I like BD better but Great White has that surprisingly big drop right under the board walk to start the ride, one of the best first moments on a coaster I've experienced.
  19. Well, it basically depends on if you prefer steel coasters or wood. You're not missing any amazing new wooden coasters at CP, but they have that awesome Intamin lineup that'll be new to you. If you're a wood fan, do the Holiday World trip... If you're like me and prefer the steel beasts (that just happen to be designed in your native country) go with Cedar Point and Geaga Lake (and don't miss Dominator! One of the most under-rated coasters ever!)
  20. http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=26648 TPR Member "cfc" has uncovered the first major clue as to what the theme of the ride will be. Thanks for that, by that way cfc. SheiKra immediately broke into my top 10, I love the concept of dive machines, this clue pretty much puts the last nail in the casket to any other type of coaster with a dive machine at it's sister park.
  21. That's happened to me SO many times on a website that will remain nameless. Just take it as a compliment CP RULES.
  22. Someone gets "hurt" on the Great Nor Easter about every 3 minutes... It's one of those "Oooooh, nice location pretty view... AGHH my spine!!" coasters. I'm going to give it another try on the 18th when I head down there, but I'm more looking forward to the rethemed dark rides. Did you go through them? Were they any good? Also, do they still have the "Maelstrom"? It's one of my favs.
  23. Yes, and while you're there be sure to fill your camera's media card with TDS photos. We can never get enough of those!
  24. I get to go about once a month to SFNE, but then there's crazy months like May and September when I do big trips and scoop up 30 credits a run, so it varies...
  25. Sounds like rubbish, but at least they had a spinout. That's one of my favorite flat rides, but I like the larger version-the Top Star Tour.
