I wish I had a season pass! I live 3 hours from the park - and haven't even gone till just now. But I had gone up to Cedar Point twice! I hope to definately go back to Holiday World next year. I need to go to a park I haven't been to also...

Its so sad to see a perfectly good classic Arrow get torn down! Especially at my old home park!

lol... I know they ban people for saying they have a slacked seatbelt. My seatbelt was tight. I buckled it and pulled that strap as hard as I could. Then I let the OPERATORS push the bar down - and in the case of Legend - a SUPERVISOR. Once the bar was down I didn't touch my seatbelt or anything. The Legend bar was wobbly - which was kind of scary - but certainly not my fault. They can't very well ban me for their maintenence departments problems - or the operators not stapling people. Its a fun park and I can't wait to go back sometime!

Awesome TR. I would soooo love to go to Silverwood. Tremors looks amazing! Any idea how it compares to Holiday World's woodies? I hear HWs old maintenence head now works for Silverwood.

I really like the color pink too. It is my favorite color. I have a pink iPod mini and everything! Don't know if that means anything though.

I'm kind of self conscious of my coaster count. Its pretty low...

Oh believe me - I went to HW very anti-voyage. I thought it looked WAY overrated and overhyped. It blew all my expetations to pieces. If you don't like INSANE INTENSE roller coasters Voyage might not be for you. It's the most crazy ride ever. Raptor is still my #1 - but I think Voyage might even be more insane than Raptor.

After hearing so much about Voyage - and getting some random time off work - I asked my friend Jeff if he wanted to go down to Holiday World. He said sure - so we decided to go Thursday 10 August. I asked my grandma to go down too since she had never been. So Wednesday night we figured out our itenerary and headed on down Thursday morning. The drive to Holiday World was nice - save for some really bad roads in Louisville. We played my usual "going to PKI music" Journey to The Island from the Jurassic Park soundtrack. Played it too soon though - so it didn't end up synching up with HW coming over the horizon. Oh well. We were shocked when we saw Voyage. It looks like a steel supported woodie in the photos. But in real life it looks so insane... First thing we headed to Revolution. It still makes me sick. When we got off we noticed Voyage was running with people on it - so we ran down there. It had about a 20 minute line - but we got in line and waited extra for the front seat. We were both so excited for it - but so nervous. The ride looks awesome. And it is. Voyage is the most intense and insane ride I have ever been on. It is way more twisted than Flight of Fear, and has three times the airtime as Magnum. I was expecting Magnum style airtime. Nothing could prepare me for Voyage airtime. It is ejector all the way, in the front seat. It really helped too that I wasn't stapled. I have to be stapled to ride Beast and Racer at Kings Island. At Holiday World I left my bar up and the operators pushed it down. So I ended up having some space between my lap and the bar. That made the airtime so much better. Theres so much time where you aren't even in your seat. I don't even know how else to describe Voyage. It is by far the best wooden coaster I have ever been on. One thing I do need to say about Voyage is that it was rough. Not just forceful - but actually rough. It wasn't as bad as Beast in the back - but wasn't as smooth as Beast in the front. But the roughness with the forcefulness of the ride - combined with such a sick layout makes it one FREAKING AMAZING ride. Next we rode Legend. I again let the staff - this time a supervisor - put my bar down. He pushed it down till it touched my lap, but it popped back up a little bit. Like I probably could have got another click if he would have stapled me - but he didn't. Thing was this restraint was REALLY wobbly - like you could jiggle it and it looked like it was about to fall off. If I pushed the restraint to the right I had about 2 inches of space between my lap and the bar. If I pushed it to the left I had about 6. This made for an airtime filled back seat ride - even with the seat belt ultra-tight. After Legend we rode Raven. It was ALOT better than last year. This time it actually had insane airtime and an ultra intense ride. And I didn't even ride in the back! I rode in the back row of the car in front lf the last car - 42 i think. It was such a good ride - but still not better than Legend - and Raven you can't even compare to Voyage. We went over to Thunder Bumpers and Liberty Launch, then rode Gobbler Getaway. Gobbler is really corny - but ok I guess. One more ride on Voyage. It did away with any uncertainty I had about the ride - and took a solid hold on my #2 spot. Sorry - I like Raptor better. We were about to run around and do a third ride on Voyage since it had less than a five minute line - but it started storming and the park closed when I was next in line. We headed home about 5pm. I was only there about 5.5 hours but had such a good time. I spent more time on the road than I did in the park - but it was well worth it. I can't believe how good Voyage is... :shock: Anyways - time to put the Photo in Photo TR! TheKlockster We were all in shock when we saw this. Parking lot was packed... ...but we parked right up front thanks to my grandma! We just about DIED when we saw this!!! No Legend??? No Voyage!!!??? Ah - "will open late". Wow its a scale model of a roller coaster! Actually Raven this year was AMAZING - where last year it was just OK. It definately earned some points this year. Yeah so I wore my Son of Beast pin. Son of Beast got a real inferiority complex. Just look at the bloodshot eyes! Legend's lift. I had an AWESOME ride in the back seat of Legend. Kringle's pizza - best in park food ever! They still have that dive show thing going on... Liberty Launch was a ton of fun! Got my pins! Best wood coaster ever. After my second ride on it - I decided it is my #2 overall. Grandma + Animatronic = Granimatronic! The airtime is rediculous. The rides all shut down for rain and lightning when I was NEXT in line for my 3rd Voyage ride... It poured... They got holi-soaked! I didn't. Goodbye Holiday World! Thanks for a great day and a great ride!

That is by far the best themed NoLimits ride I have EVER seen! I would love to be able to download the ride and scenery!

I think we've established you can't go on what the supports look like. I don't think it is an aqua trax - though I could be wrong. If it is an aqua trax - its going to have a LOOOOOONG and insane layout. Aqua Trax is all about water. I think we can rule out invert, and possibly the wing walker due to the way the supports are going, and the clearances. I think maybe it will be a mega-looper maybe something like Colossus...

Yeah I can't believe anyone would do that. What do they possibly accomplish? Lesourdsville Lake is home to my first coaster ever.

Not yet - I have noticed no PPH difference from when I was working there in May... I heard they are planning on making some big changes though - like hinged exit gates on the ends of exit ramps... About the signature move - sure looks like it.

Good ole bucky got a ride on the Vortex as well! LOL You said Carl Eichelman... Ah! Ah! Ah! Ah! Stayin alive... Stayin alive! Yeah Beast got Cedar Fair'd too... Face/Off got some pink seats!!! I added a couple pins to my new collection.

LOL @ Canobie Emo Kid! Nice photos. Canobie looks alot better than Coney Island (OH) even though they are about the same size. And the maps for both parks look almost exactly the same.

I used to work on Vortex until June of this year. It did not have green boxes. They were added within the last week. Same thing on Top Gun. The rule at Vortex was that the load operator had to stand in those little boxed in areas between gates, and unload had to stand outside arms reach of the train.

As with any park weekdays are better than weekends. Also - Tuesday seems like the best day for me. I have never stayed in any of the resorts - so I can't really help you there. Cedar Point is such an awesome park - hope you have fun! And make sure you ride Raptor in the back!

I don't know I heard a couple inside rumors about them possibly getting a thrill lift coaster back in 2005. But yeah I think the new management might not do that. Keep in mind both Flight of Fears and PKIs Tomb Raider were going to get rotated to different parks for 2007 - and I believe that Cedar Fair officially nixed that.

I can't wait to get out and do Lagoon and Silverwood!

Have any of the other parks got the painted green boxes on the floors of their coaster stations? PKI got the boxes Cedar Point style. Now during dispatch operators must be standing in a green box, with the exit gates secured.

No Limits is by far the best. The terraformer in it sucks - but you can use 3rd party software. And what you can do with 3DS models blows me away!

I think he means if you put wing walker trains on that track - the wings would get chopped off by support collsions and ground collisions that the people on board the train would die. I just don't think the clearences are right...
