  1. Speed: The Ride in Las Vegas? Batman: The Chiller SFGAdv? A Mr. Freeze clone?
  2. Magnum! Pretty much every other Arrow I have been on has sucked.
  3. Supposedly it was crapply installed. Plus there were problems with the rolls, but that was fixed. I'm recall hearing that the LIMs were damaged during assembly or installation. And it used so much power that it was impossible for them to duel like they were designed to. I would love to see them fixed and installed at a new park though. I know a park a little north of SFGAdv that could use a launch coaster
  4. It probably could have. I believe a ton of people bought season passes. And they already had plans to install a 200 foot drop ride and a major coaster (GCI Woodie and Morgan Mini-Hyper were rumored) in the next two years.
  5. Oh well... Once the park closed after only 2 months of operation, I suppose the writing was on the wall.
  6. Not really... Enthusiasts already do mass amounts of complaining about the Six Flags chain, it wouldn't change much... Unless of course another Six Flags park bought it and fixed it. I don't know how that would be responded to be enthusiasts.
  7. RCT3 doesn't simulate queues very well. You don't see it because there are no shots were it would be visable.
  8. Harry Potter or not, that sounds like an idea that has some potential to be pretty sweet. But as it will just be a family ride, it probably won't have enough arm movement to be very thrilling... Unless perhaps you could choose what level of intensity you want like on the current trackless Robocoasters?
  9. They got rid of that? Good. That seemed really dumb (Although it was fitting for the theme I guess). I would not like to have to dance and chant to get on a ride.
  10. I really hope Tidal Wave stays, it is the best coaster in the park. I'm somewhat more indifferent to Oronga leaving though, I never liked it much. Some additions I would like for the park would be a bigger ferris wheel, and a drop tower (cough300foots&sfourtowercomboridecough).
  11. 1: 2034 2: Riptide 3: Viper 4: It was almost turned into a new resort thing, deconstruction had already started before the main Hershey office stopped it 5: Year 5 6: Rock N' Rollercoaster/Xpress/Vekoma LSM Bowl 7: This is the hard one for me... I have to say I don't know exactly, but it was somewhere between when Tigre went in and Year 20 8: $5 Million was stated in the first press release 9: False 10: False EDIT: Dang, I got nine right... That parking garage question stumped me. EDIT 2: Uh... Kraken, I noticed you made edits to your post, changing your answers. By any chance did you look back through the rest of the pages to change your answers? If you did, that obviously is cheating...
  12. If they wanted a vertical/beyond vertical type coaster with higher capacity, why not go with a Fahrenheit/Maverick type ride? And they could add a mid course LSM launch, increasing capacity AND thrill factor, and providing another feature the park doesn't have yet.
  13. The park started in 1997. However, he has stated that his parks are "timeless" in the way that although seasons go by, the parks are sort of stuck in the current era.
  14. Conventional OTSRs would be complete overkill for a ride like Maverick, and would probably also kill most of the airtime. On the other hand, I can't really see conventional lap bars working with all the inversions and 95 degree drop. I think Maverick's restraints are good for the kind of ride it is. Although it has inversions, at it's heart Maverick is more like a non-looping sit down.
  15. Looking sweet! I love the station and theming for the ride, and it should look even better when finished. I am not a fan of the layout though. It dies coming out of the overbank.
  16. I don't see why Screamscape even had to mention GL's Boomerang. GA already has Invertigo, so there is no chance it would be a normal Boomerang .
  17. This is the topic for SFMM's Thomas Town. The SFOG topic is somewhere else. Also, I heard speculation that the area would go in place of Psyclone.
  18. I played the PC demo, and I have to say that it was one of the dumbest things I have ever seen
  19. One of the last remaining 1st gen Intamin Freefalls. Which speaking of that, how many 1st gens are left? I know there is Demon Drop at CP and Freefall at SFMM, but is there any others? Does anyone know if the one at Nagashima Spaland is still operating?
  20. Kill poor Bob, causing the first train of the morning (Which strangely had passengers aboard) to fall off the track into the water, killing all four passengers, Freddy, and a donkey who had previously...
  21. I can't believe they didn't re-name it. I hope Dominator gets a new name and new paint at it's new home.
  22. Peep torture machine, that catapulted peeps across the park and into a strange scenary object that was intended to look like cannibal islanders surronding a pot. The peeps were terrified, and Mechanic 14...
  23. He is talking about the 11 who got invitations to take some of the first rides.
  24. Nice trip report. I would really like to go too Branson someday, along with WoF and SFSL that are somewhat close. I wish there were some better photo oppertunitys for Wildfire though. I have seen that same shot of the pre-lift segement, lift hill, and first two inversions alot.
  25. Not a better steel coaster. A woodie, yes, but a decent steel coaster (You mentioned B&M and Intamin in your post) would cost far more. SLCs are $10 million, B&Ms start at around 12 million, with sizable ones running above $20 million. Although the smallest Intamins like Kanonen start around $7-$8 million, the truth is you can't get a top notch steel coaster for $7.5 million. And I'm sure that the price tag for these coasters includes theming. In 1998, TWO Mack Compact Mobile Wild Mouse coasters cost $5.3 Million. I can't find any more recent stats, or stats for Park model Mice, but I think that if there wasn't theming, these coasters would be costing a whole lot less.
