  1. Wow the coaster in that drawing looks big. The first drop looks like it has got to be like 200 feet tall.
  2. I guess you can count me in.
  3. Can the coaster go into trenches dug into the ground, or can it just not have underground tunnels? Are underwater tunnels fair game?
  4. Cedar Fair has really been suprising us lately. First Maverick, then Renegade, and now this. I wonder what they have up their sleeve for 2008?.
  5. A rocket ala Kanonen and a Mr. Freeze clone are a lot more similar to eachother then Ka and Chiller are. Ka is a full circuit, height/speed based coaster, Chiller is a shuttle loop. Mr. Freeze is a massive shuttle loop, and Kanonen is a tiny little launched looper. Although now that I think about it, it does make sense sense that they would build a rocket, and seeing as how they are the hot item in the coaster world these days, I'd say that if they are building a coaster, it has a chance to be a rocket.
  6. They have Mr. Freeze right? So an accelarator would be redundant.
  7. The only SF parks I wen't too this season where SFNE and SFGAdv. At SFNE, I swear they had two trains running on Thunderbolt, Two trains on Cylone, multiple trains on everything but Flashback. By the end of the season, the park was packed, B:TDK seemed to perpetually have 2 1/2 hour lines, sucky operations on everything except S:ROS, only one train on the woodies, Catapault done, and Cyclone was down frequently for some reason too. SFGAdv, I only took one visit, and it was great, much better then most people on here give the park credit for. But Kingda Ka and Rolling Thunder where down, and El Toro wasn't finished yet, so I missed all of those, but I hope to ride them next year.
  8. Since i'm not really the type for extreme sports or sledding, I will get my substitute fix from a possible Florida trip in january.
  9. Joking aside, the ride is pretty much finished as of today, the stators are installed, the trackwork is done, all that's left is finishing the electrical, if that hasn't been finished already, getting the trains, finishing the theming, and testing.
  10. Late January; Possibly Florida for DisneyWorld resort, and possibly some other parks. May 12th and 13th; Cedar Point opening day for CF-Live and Maverick. Pretty much confirmed. Late October/Haloween; SFNE Fright Fest, very far off, so this is probably the least likely yo actually happen I also would like to get back down to SFGAdv for Kingda Ka and El Toro, espiecally is I made it into an all-out coaster trip with SFGAdv, Dorney, and Hershey, And I would also like to get down to Busch Gardens Williamsburg for Griffon. Both of these trips probably will not happen though. I would also like to have a side trip to Holiday World on my Cedar Point trip, but that probably won't happen either.
  11. So, A few days ago I was ranting about the off-season, and my mother brought up Walt Disney World, and after some reserching, I found that Florida Hurricane season ends in November, but I didn't want to go in December to avoid pople going to Florida for Christmas, so she brought up going in Late January for my little sisters birthday. So my question is, is this a good idea?
  12. I had an ok season, nothing like some other members hear, but not like last season where I had one park trip for the entire season. Current coaster count: 24 # of new coasters ridden for me: 17 (more then tripleing my coaster count) # of new for 2006 coasters ridden: 0 Park visits: Atleast 10, it depends on how many times I visited SFNE. Different parks visited: 3 New to me parks: 3 Park visited the most: SFNE, with atleast 8 visits, although there may have been more then that. Wood coaster ridden the most: Cyclone (SFNE) Steel coaster ridden the most: S:ROS (SFNE) Highlights would be riding Yankee Cannonball for the first time, my trip to Six Flags Great Adventure, and of course, all the wonderfull rides I got on Superman Ride of Steel, espiecally the really amazing front row rides I got Low points of the season would be my brother fracturing his wrist during the first park trip of the season, Catapult at SFNE being closed for half the season, Cyclone at SFNE running one train all through the summer, and not getting to go to Cedar Point. Hopes for next season, getting to go to Cedar Point opening day for the Coaster Force Live that's happening then, getting to go to more parks then just SFNE and one other trip, and being the first public rider on Maverick And I also hope that my family will have a family trip to florida before the year is out, because the off-season is already driving me crazy Also, when is the best time to visit the florida parks late in the season?
  13. SFNE will be open tomorow, but other then that, you will have to wait until 07 unless you don't mind going to Florida or SoCal.
  14. Will the grand finale wrap everything up and explain everything, or will we be left to draw our own conclusions?
  15. LOL Also, Shockwave, the theming is the parks decision, it is just that, by coinencedence, Vekoma Mine Trains are usually purchased by parks that do good theming.
  16. Yeah, I agree, I voted for it because it was so original, espiecally compared to the other two themes, which are both generic mine themes like pretty much every other mine train.
  17. Batman: The Dark Knight? Drachen Fire?
  18. If SFMM could keep 25 good rollercoasters operating, enthusiasts would be foaming at the mouth. And I kinda doubt Geauga Lake has much of a chance, nobody ever goes there, and it is so close to Cedar Point.
  19. If it is a coaster, great, good for you, you could use one, but with a teaser like that, I bet it's a water ride or waterpark attraction. One park that could really use a new coaster is Canobie Lake. However, they are getting a Huss Frisbee and new entrance for 2007, and there are rumors of a waterpark expansion in 2008, so i'm doubting it will be anytime soon. But heres hoping to a GCI twister like Thunderbird at Powerpark in 08 or 09.
  20. Mind Eraser at SFNE, in near total darkness. An awesome ride, as always, made even better by the time of day. I would have loved to have gotten a night ride on S:ROS though, it would have been great.
  21. Often the train will be in for maitenence, as Cyclone at SFNE's other train seemes to be for most of the season. Or there is lazy ride ops, or short lines. The big rides will pretty much always have 2 trains. 3 is somewhat less common, you really only see it on the bigger B&Ms and other coasters with MCBRs. Some notable exceptions are Millennium Force (Three Trains, seperate loading and unloading, No MCBR), PMBO (Four Trains, MCBR) and TTD (Six trains, 4 train capacity seperate loading and unloading platform, no MCBR)
