All paramount parks are the worse for me. I have only been to Kings Dominion and Kings Island. KD was just plain horrible. The rides totoally sucked and I had more hopes for KD and I actually went there to ride SOB and it was closed, but I had been really looking forward tot The Beast and it even was a let down. The only thing these parks have is the indoor launch coaster which the name has slipped my mind.

I didnt know this park has 3 inverted coasters. It kinda seems redundant. -

Mine was X and El Toro. Both had me weak in the knees. -
What are your TOP TEN COASTERS
almightyfire replied to ddaver177's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
wood TEXAS GIANT EL TORO THE VILLIAN steel NITRO X REVOLUTION ALPHENGIST BIG BAD WOLFE LOCH NESS MONSTER RIDDLER'S REVENGE mine train GOLDRUSHER RUNAWAY MINE TRAIN SFOT These are my favorite that I have ridden. I do know that if I had the chance I would probably have The Voyage and Balder in my top 10. I am not a big fan of steel but there are more steel coasters that I have ridden than wood. -
When Batman first opened they had assigned seating. That is better. I was at SFOT today and there were too many trains leaving with single riders. There was one train that i saw leave with 4 single riders. That happens at a lot of parks. They need to assign seats and fill up each train. it will make the line go faster

I dont understand why parks are stilll adding the boomerang to its coaster lineup. It is the most boring ride ever. It was wonderful 15 yrs ago when they first started hitting the parks but now it is so lame. It is a cheap way parks can add a coaster to their lineup. -

There is a lot you could do in 2 hrs at an empty park. There are only 5 real coasters there and you can ride all of them more than once in an hour, just sit on the rides when they come back in the station. I cant wait to go next week so I can buy a lot of pink things. -

In the past few years they have showed shows on coasters but they were repeats. The building of Tatsu was the only new one that i saw last year and that was the national geograhic channel -

I rode this when it was at Guena Lake and it was the most uncomfortable ride there is. I am 6ft and I couldnt fit well in the things around my ankle and It was totally an uncomfortable ride to me, couldnt wait for it to be over. It isnt anywhere near a TATSU. -

They made a mistake on the Fiesta Texas Superman video. That isnt the right ride, that is the Superman from New England not SFOT. -
Wood or Steel?
almightyfire replied to Coasters 4 ever's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Oh i forgot X is the only steel coaster that I have been on where the ride ops had to help me out of my seat. I was totally out of breath. This coaster is phenominal. El Toro did the same for me. My next coaster I am looking forward to is The Voyage. I just love woodies more. X gave me the biggest high I have had in yrs. Inversions and loops are too repetative for me. They are so quick and disorienting that I really dont know what I just experienced. A good woodie gives me more of a strong rush that a smooth steel coaster that glides through the air. -
Wood or Steel?
almightyfire replied to Coasters 4 ever's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I will fly across the world for a good woodie. TThere has only been ione coaster made of steel that has taken my breathe away and it was Nitro. I like more highbanked turns and a lot of airtime that i just dont feel I get with steel. I am not a big fan of inversions, barrel rolls and loops. I dont ever have to ride a coaster with a loop. -
i agree with if u cant keep them up, so why not us demand they do. well i guess it is all a matter of opinion. personally i really dont like cedar point. it is just a big blob of concrete but i dont think that it should be closed down or any rides removed. magic mountain is just a nice place to me. i ws there 2 yrs ago and didnt see any of the problems that u all are speaking of. the only coaster that i had to wait a long time for was X and that was because it had mechanical problems for about 20 mins but i was able to ride everything more than once in 10 hrs, the only problem i saw was the ride ops being lazy but tearing a coaster down isnt gonna fix that it is management and supposedly we have that and things willl change but the last time i was at cedar point the load times were terrible also. i look forward to a coaster addition to any park i go to but i am a coaster enthusiast. i am the person who skips the other rides and just ride coasters so a day at a park with 17 coasters is just plain wonderful for someone like me. i just dont know who made the rule up that 17 coasters r too many. in 30 more yrs most parks will have over 20 because u add coaster at least every 2 yrs. i am a junkie and once u ride a coaster more than 5 times at 300ft the thrill is lessened and u have to go bigger. i am sure that i am not the only one that feels this way. six flags closed my home park and i felt it was no big deal because i didnt go anyway becase astroworld was a kiddie park and before someone blasts me it is a kiddie park in comparison to magic mountain or cedar point, but i didnt want it torn down. thats all i am saying
-
what does too many coasters mean? i dont hear anyone saying that about cedar point. i said i am not happy or sad. i dont care but i do know that there is no such thing as too many coasters and that family ride mess is silly. families ride coasters also dont u all let shapiro brainswash u all hell he doesnt want to spend the money that it takes to put another real coaster. six flags will never compete with disney no one will ever so just get the kiddies when they get too old for disney because they all do. just fix the parks and make the employess move their arses and load and run all trains at all times and that will cure the slump in business not trying to get some of disneys fame cause it is nt gonna happen. cedar point is a coaster park and it is doing well so i dont buy that adding kiddie parts to six flags parks is gonna boost business no six flgas is a rollercoaster park always has been always will be.

now i am not happy that it is torn down or sad. I see a lot of people want rides removed, why? just dont stand in line. someone likes it. all it does it cut down on variety. i just want them to put more coasters not take away. i can see if there was no room for new rides and u need to cut down on less popular rides to make room for new but this isnt the case with the psyclone.
