Wood: I'd have to say Son of Beast. It's a great little, smoother, teaser of what you just got yourself into. Steel: This is harder. I'd have to say Adventure Express (Kings Island). It's pre-lift is pretty long and has some nice sounds and thematic effects. Also I like the pre-lift of Dominator (Geauga Lake/Kings Dominion). It's actuall quite long compared to other B&M pre-lifts and it was neat at Geauga Lake goin' over the water.

Your pictures are really great. Can't wait for the next Photo TR from you. -
Alright man. Like I said I won't take POV shots anymore. I wasn't intentionally trying to break rules or deceivingly get pics. I also feel that KI is my home park as well even though I live in Miami, FL. I first went there when I was a baby and I've been going ever since. Anyways, I'm going up to KI on July 30 and will be at the park on the 31 and August 1. Can I meet you up man? It would be cool to go there and put a face with the avatar/user name. Let me know. -Kyle-

No I don't remember their names. Well if they were supposed to have said no to my question then they should have. I know it is clearly posted on the signs and thats why I asked before I just whipped out my phone and took pictures. I was definatley not trying to take the pictures secretly because i'm not the type of guy that does that crap. The main reason they don't want you taking pictures on rides is for the safety of the other riders. I took that into effect. I attached a retractable type chord to my belt buckle and to my phone so that just in case I did drop it it would immediately retract to my waste instead of flyin' back and hitting someone in the face. And if I can remember correctly I saw a topic sometime when I first started posting here about POV shots. Robb said something to the effect of ask or don't' do it. Thats what I did. James, I also follow park rules even if I don't like them, but if someone (who I think should be telling me an ok thing to do) says I can do something I'm not usually able to do I'll do it in a heartbeat no questions asked. I understand your concern and I won't post anymore on-ride pics. -Kyle-

Sometimes, you'll find it takes a while, plus several of the regulars are in Europe right now. If it helps, the general idea is put what you have out there because at least 1 person will appreiciate it. Otherwise, if you get a lot of hits and comments, great. If not, no worries and just go on to the next Photo TR. There are thousands of people on here, so it's a good bet they'll enjoy what you post, but they just may not say so. Thanks. I know I was just waiting at my house doin' nothing and I was getting impatient. In response to the on-ride photos I took I want to know how come its alright when Admins. take POV shots and/or videos it ok compared to me taking them.

I meant to say 78 rides over the course of two days. I wasn't braking the rules. I make sure to always ask when I'm goin to take an on-ride photo. If they say no then I don't do it. When I asked the people at the Beast and Racer if I could take some pov pics with my phone (to explain the blurriness) they said something to the affect of "Alright, but if you drop/lose/break it, it's not the parks fault. " Thanks for the complements on the Beast pics though. Well right in the title it says 2007. Yeah I got many more old photos to post.

[NL] New Summer Project
dragsterfan420 replied to FeelTheFORCE's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Nice lookin' coaster, keep the pics comming. -
Hey there everyone. Well if you clicked on this you know it's a photo TR of Cedar Point. This was a part of Coaster Con 30 from last year. I ha already been to Kings' Island (by the way which is in this thread http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=44666 ). IT was a great trip and I intend to put the other parks I went to. Well anyways, we (My mom, sister, 2 cousins, an aunt and I), started driving to Cedar Point, from Kings Island area (specifically Westchester, Ohio) the day before CoasterMania. After a long peaceful drive through the "country" we started seing familiar things and were getting hyped up. After we hit Sandusky we were all bouncin' in our chairs with anticipation. Finally, after another 20 minutes or so we got to our hotel. The Breakers Express. It was a fairly nice hotel. Better than what I remembered The Breakers Hotel to be like. After we got all of our things inside, luggage, cooler, food, drinks, etc., we (the "kids") and especially me were like "When can we go to the park?" Then I found out we had to wait 'til morning. The next morning we woke up bright and early, 5 o'clock to be exact, and started to get ready. At around 5:45 we left to head down the road to the park. We got to the front gate at like 6:00, because their was no one there and we got a prime parking space. Luckily we got our season passes the day before because their was a huge line filled with all the ACErs and other CoasterManiacs. When we got in the park we walked past all the waiting general public, hehe, and then headed not to Maverick, the ERT for the morning, but Millennium Force, like a few other people. We got in line and were already to the back of the station. After a few test runs the ride ops said "Do you guys wanna ride?" EVERYONE in the line said, "YEAH!!". So the first ride of the day was Millennium Force. Boy was it a ride. I've ridden it countless times but for the first time again since 2 summers prior to this trip it was like the first time all over again. I give it a 10/10. Next, we headed over to Maverick, wich by now had an immense line. After waiting for like an hour and fifteen minutes (longest wait of the day) we got on. My cousin and I, waited for the front row. About another 10 min. It was well worth it. The ride was pretty fun, except for the "jerkiness" and the pelting your face when you're going over the lake. The "launched" lift was pretty cool and so was the secondary launch. I'd say go with a ride in the front or second row. You still the airtime, but also get a good view. Overall it was a good ride. I don't think it should be "the best ride of '07" or something like that but I'd say it's a 8/10. After that, I rode Mean Streak (by myself) while everyone else was getting another ride on Maverick. No one else was on the ride... I don't get why no one likes this coaster. I think its a decent coaster. Yeah it sucks with the trims, especially on the first drop , but come on it isn't that bad. Even though their are many better than it, I give it a 7/10. Then, I walked around to Skyhawk and got a couple rides on that. The only complaint I have about that ride is it is way to short! It's very fun with the Millennium/Dragster type of lap bar but, you only get one climatic swing then it starts slowing down. 7/10 Next was Gemini. They were finally running both sides again. It was very fun because the red train (the one I was in) was pretty much full of people and their was barely anyone in the blue one (the one the rest of my family was in). Me having knowledge of what I call "Kindergarten Physics" chose the red train because I knew it was going to win. In the end I the red train won. They thought because their was less people in their train they were going to win. All I said to them was 'WOW'. Gemini-9/10 (for helping me prove my family wrong; jk) After that was Witches Wheel I think, which doesn't really need a review, then was Top Thrill Dragster. THe line was actually very short. Only 15, maybe 20 minutes in all. (including a wait for the front seat). I love TTD. Not just 'cause of the ride but 'cause of the anticipation of waiting for it. Once I got on the train, front row right side, I was starting to try and remember the feeling of riding this monster. I couldn't. Again, like Millennium, it was like riding it for the first time. We (my cousin and I) were edged out after watching the train in front of us zoom down the track. The catch car was rolling back and we heard it click onto the under part of our train. I put my head back, saw the brake fins go down, saw the lights go in succession, then a loud humming noise stopped the yells. Yup, it broke or failed to launch... They tried again; same thing. A mechanic came down and fixed the problem rather quickly. The next try...and we were hurdling down the track. My second favorite ride at the park. TTD-10/10 After TTD, I rode Corkscrew once because, who doesn't love 30 year old Arrow's. It was alright. But when I was going through the first turn out of the station and was already jerking, I knew I made a mistake. In the end it was alright. Thank God my head is above the shoulder harness. 5/10 Next, I headed back over to Millennium 'cause I was now by myself and could obviously do what I wanted. The line wait time was fairly short. About 35 minutes long. Another great ride on Millennium Force entailed after waiting those 35 minutes. After Millennium I head across the way to Mantis. Currently, Mantis is still my favorite stand up (but I haven't been on Riddlers Revenge) and thats why I rode it. It's really a fun experience to be standing while you're riding a roller coaster and it never gets old. Their was some unexpected "neck-breakers" so I'll give Mantis-9/10. Now it was lunch time so I headed over to the skyride and headed to the front of the park. I ate with the rest of the CoasterManiacs at the picnic area and man the food was great. It was a buffet but all the other ACErs beat me to seconds. After lunch I went and rode Blue Streak, Raptor, Magnum XL-200 and Wicked Twister, then went back to the hotel and slept. Blue Streak was fun the first time I rode it and is still fun today. Despite is small "stature" it's still in my Top 5 Coasters for the park. 10/10 Raptor is also in my top 5. It's probably my third favorite inverted coaster after Montu and Alpengeist. The drop is exhilarating, the inversions are exciting, and the ending helix is relentless (especially in the back row). 10/10 Magnum XL-200 is beginning to be dated. Its bumps are no longer fun, just hurtful. If you can live past the bruises this ride is still amazing. The airtime on this coaster is still number one in the park and the view you get of the lake, water, and beach are breath taking. This is another one of my top 5 at the park. 9/10 Finally, Wicked Twister. What is their to say about this ride other than, "AMAZING!" When I first rode this ride when it was new at the park I had never ridden anything that launched you so fast so that was one experience that made me attached to it. Another was the sensation of sitting in the back of the train and, when going up the back tower, seeing everyone's leg and arms going everywhere while you, yourself, are spinning. The thing about this is that in the summer, when the mayflies hatch, they are always near the lake so don't scream when you're on this in the summer; trust me . Also sand usually flies up when your on this coaster and pelts you in the legs, arms, face, etc. (I'll take sand over rain any day). And again, this is another top 5 for the park. 9/10 I did go the next day but basically did the same thing. So instead of boring you with my writing I'll (hope to) amuse you with my pictures. See what I meant by country? The sunrise outside our hotel getting ready to go down to the Point. YES! We're finally there. Good ol' Blue Streak. Train about to go over. My second favorite flat ride at the park. Horrible picture, great ride. Vroooooom... Again, horrible picture, great ride. Goin' over the top hat. Cool lookin' Dragster. If only their was a train in this pic. If my camera was gay this would be a nice pic. This is better but still blurry. Fun li'l' devil. Airtime. Satisfied customers. Airtime, again. The drop. One of the better shots of my trip. Maverick Sunset. Look!, another lift picture. That's where you get pelted with water. Another purty good pic. Divin' down by the lake. My favorite flat ride at the park! One time, in October of '06 I rode this thing with the wind blowing at 45 m.p.h. and you could feel it swaying while you were on it. Scary. Everyones favorite woodie. Horrible picture, horri...ok ride. Another one that, if clear, would have been a good ride. I took this on the train so I couldn't wait for a (coaster) train to come by. Airtime on Millennium is best in the back. Goin' down. Another one I took on the train. Last turn. Milly from a distance. A great pic from the train. If only their was a (coaster) train in their. A model of Blue Streak in the museum at CP. And a model of Mean Streak. Look at that detail. Power Tower; and TTD. DAMN CAMERA! Power Tower and Dragster again. The best picture of this TR. (IMO) Raptor's cobra roll. All of Raptor. Goin' into the loop. Entering that amazing helix. Getting ready to plunge unless the sun melts the track. Die Schleife. (the loop) Zero 'G' Roll. Skyhawk Nice trains? Really fun. Look at that gigantic sea gull! Very blurry. Comin' down the back tower. Great coaster, great setting. In the the observation tower a little kid said, "Mommy, what ocean is that?" Witches Wheel. A pretty fun flat ride. And thats the end of the TR. Thanks for lookin', I hope you enjoyed it. Leave your two cents if you wish. -Kyle-

I'm just gonna get right into the pics because I don't remember anything specific about this trip. Not even the ride counts. Except for The Beast, 78 rides in one day. Here we go: Here's Congo. It's extremely blurry because it was taken from the eiffel tower zoomed all the way with a crappy camera. I don't know why I took this pic, but it came out pretty nice. My new ride of the trip. Firehawk. Getting ready to go into the first drop. Again, from the Eiffel Tower. Going around the first turn. Same turn, different angle. And another different angle. Into the loop. Loop from Eiffel Tower. Overview of Firehawk. Station. Before it was "Backlot Stunt Coaster" The Monster. SoB, but where's the loop? SoB Overview. The Beast (my baby). The Beast's lift hill from a distance. And the second lift hill. The Racer, first drop. It was extremely smooth that time I rode it. Top Gun, the best suspended Arrow. A fun turn on Top Gun. Vortex Into the station. Vortex, first drop. Vortex entrance. In the loop. One more shot of the Beast and to the end of the TR. Thanks for lookin'. -Kyle-

Roller coasters and body trembling
dragsterfan420 replied to lorddoonga's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
For me I'd say Millennium Force when I first rode, 2001, the Beast when I rode it, as my first coaster in 1995-96, and the Voyage last year(amazing). -

How about let me go hop two fences, go into a restricted area, try and touch a moving coaster and get decapitated. -
