I'm planning on going to SFGA this summer and I would like to know when is the best time to go? Example: Month, Day of the Week, etc. Also tell me the rides I should definitely not miss and when to ride 'em. Any other information is graciously accepted. Thanks. -Kyle- PS I will put up a PTR after I get back or even when I'm there if possible.

Roller Coaster Music
dragsterfan420 replied to spacemtfan's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Forget those other crap bands(A7X, Bullet for My Valentine, Ill Nino). I'd say any and everything from Pantera. But for a ride like the Beast, or any other ride thats in woods or in the dark, you need dark ambient music like Lustmord. PRetty much any "scary" type of music would go good with those rides. -
I went to SFoG right after Goliath opened, I guess late May 2005. It really was a great ride. I remember I went on a junior high band trip there. Naturally us coming from Miami their wasn't that many coaster lovers. It was funny because only two people, other than myself, rode it. Everyone, when we were driving into the park, was like "Holy crap...that roller coaster's gotta be 500 ft. tall." All I did was sit back and laugh. As for Minderbender, it was also great. I thought it was going to be a short time ride, but man I was wrong. It was actually my 3rd favorite right after GASM. All in all, SFoG is a great park and I plan on going their soon.

Son of Beast or Beast
dragsterfan420 replied to dragsterfan420's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I have ridden' the Kentucky Rumbler. I enjoyed it a great deal. I'd say its number 3 on my personal type five wood. I'll just always love the Beast. I'm also glad to hear that many people like the new revamped SoB. I've only ridden it twice. Both experiences were pretty bad. The first time was in 2001 when I was 11 and it rattled me to death. And the second time was 2 days before that major accident occurred that made then change it up! xD That experience was bad because I was like 6' (now 6' 3") and it severely hurt my knee caps from banging on the handle bar in front of the seat. Can't wait to get back up there. -

Last year at Coaster Con I dont think they were running all the trims. Just the main brake run in the middle. -
Son of Beast or Beast

I totally understand where you're coming from. Last time I rode it the didn't have trims on the first drop, but everywhere else you mentioned yeah. I can remember riding it for the first time when I was like 7. I rode at almost night and I had to close my eyes some times, especially the first drop because I was just so scared. Now it's just like a scenic ride through the forest. I really saddens me that they killed the Beast so bad, but I still love that chained down, beaten, torn, and as you put it "neutered" woodie. I will miss that scary roller coaster that I rode when I was seven but I'll just have to make good with what I got. -
Son of Beast or Beast
dragsterfan420 replied to dragsterfan420's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I heard a couple people that say "the Beast sucks". It might not be the greatest to you but their is no way that it could "suck". The Beast, for me, is not only about the track, or actual part of the ride. What makes it so special and exciting for me is the environment and the memories I've had on it. Their is no one that can honestly say after riding the Beast in the in the dark, with fog all around, and with barely anyone else on the train (all characteristics of a night ride) say it sucks. Also this was my first "major" coaster so thats why it holds a special place in me. It will always be my favorite woodie even with the new great woodies such as the Voyage. Thats just my other 2 cents. I'm trying to bring back this thread now that the Son of Beast has been modified. Let me know what you think of SoB now. -
Please any and all people explain to me why whats wrong with ACE? I'm a member but I'm thinking of getting out of it from some things I'm reading on this website. I'm sorry if I'm soundin' like an idiot I just would like to know so maybe I can become a "full time" TPR member instead of being both an ACE member and a TPR member. Thanks in advance for your help.

I just started reading this whole thing tonight. I honestly can't wait to see whats going on up there at KI. I usually go up there ever summer to visit family and go to KI many times but no money this year. Anywho, I've been say for a while now to my family and friends, even before I knew about this thread, "I wish KI had big ol' B&M hyper cosaster." Now that I get to see my wish might come true... I'm just in total awe. Thanks for constantly updating us JZ, James, JohnnyUpsidedown, and others. I cant wait! Oh and JZ next time I get up there probably next year I'll let you know. Or if you ever coming down to Florida (who in their right mind would come to FLorida) let me know.

dragsterfan420 replied to dragsterfan420's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
im just aking a question. And im not just doing this to hear myself talk, I actually heard this rumor on another forum. And like Paul said it could be sinking if the footers aren't in solid ground. This happened to the Bat at Paramount's King's Island. -
Has anyone else heard the rumor that Kingda Ka is sinking and is now 419' tall. I highley dought it but I just wanted to know if anyone else has heard about it?

Which of the two BEast's do you think are better The Beast, my favorite, or Son of Beast, my not so favorite. ::cough:: bruise machine ::cough:: Make your decision and tell me your opinion of the two including the accident on Son of Beast and the newly added trim brakes on the Beast.

What Was The Last Coaster You Rode?
dragsterfan420 replied to SharkTums's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The Beast at PKI on July 25th. The only reason I havented been on another roller is because I live in Miami, FL and the only roller coaster near me is the Dania Beach Hurricane and that is at least 45 minutes away from me. -
By the way SheiKra is a really good coaster it is very smooth has a very big Immelman and it's fly over the water part is really awesome. The view for the top is amazing. Since Florida's landscape is mostly flat you can see all the way to the horizon, focal point, just like when your in the ocean. it is awesome.

i have been to Busch Gardens Tampa about 4 times in my whole life, but I still love it. If you are looking to do everything get there right when the park opens. When you get in head for Montu(my favorite ride in the park). Go and look at all the animals. To me it is really interesiting. Then you start getting towards what looks like an old African Plantaion house. Keep going that way and eventually you will hit Montu. Also around their is a really good show called Katonga. After, Montu take the sky ride over to the Congo area. First, go on Kumba. Then go on the river rapids right next to Kumba. This is one of the best river rapids I've been on. After that get on Python(nto the best coaster) and sit on the left side trust me ok! Just do it! Then after that go to SHEIKRA! Then the last good ride is Gwazi. Im going their very soon and I intend to follow this plan too. Also don't even try to get onto Rhino Rally the line is always or at least most of the time a hour and a half or more.
