What is your local park?
dragsterfan420 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The closest "park" to me is Boomers in Dania Beach(Hollywood), Florida. Home of the Dania Beach Hurricane. ^I don't know why "The South" is in quotations either. -
Son of Beast or Beast

Yeah I understand where you're coming from. I've ridden some of those "other woodies". I love the Voyage and the Raven especially out of that list because of the same type of wooded factor that the Beast has. I really want to get on El Toro 'cause I've heard really good things about it. The Kentucky Rumbler was also fun. I also like many other woodies such as Gwazi, The Racer (Kings Island), Mean Streak and many others. Even though I like all of those other woodies the Beast will always be my favorite. -

Yeah its the second drop right out of the tunnel from the first drop. You go around that little turn then you drop. Before the trims were there, or were as strong, you would fly up in your seat no matter where on the train you were. Also after that second drop that next hill uses to give you some airtime if you rode in the front. -

The pond was drained. It was also neat because they had a water wheel next to the ride that actually turned from the water, I think. And like "DBru" said they put some trim brakes on the the ride that real changed the airtime you'd get on that second hill and changed the speed of when you're goin' through the back of the ride. -

That's the beast I originally rode back in 1995-1997. I didn't know what "airtime" was back then but I remember feeling like I was floating goin' down that second hill. And I really liked the pond they had under the station. That version of the Beast is dead, for now, and we just need to enjoy the ride still now. -

Sorry man. Well it all depends on where you ride in the train and what train you ride in. It's never hurt me like that. I was trying to be stubborn. -

If they took off the trims or made them have less stopping power everyone, including you, would like the Beast better. -
Coastermania 2008! - Photo Trip Report
dragsterfan420 replied to tdtmf's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Those bugs are really annoying. I think they're mayflies. Their's so many because when their young they live in the water and when they become adults, in summer, they come out of the water to annoy all the people at Cedar Point. They are the worst when riding Millennium Force, Mean Streak, Magnum, and Wicked Twister. Basically any ride near the water. Last year at Coaster Mania, when I was yelling going down the hill of Millennium one went into my throat, at 90 mph , and I didn't stop coughing the rest of the day and all night. So you can still scream or shout on the rides, just wait until you get above 30 ft. or so. -Kyle- -
This is what I think is the new ride might possibly be like. The colors I made are based upon the pictures of track in "Kennyweirds" post. And I put and x on the tips of the track because I have no idea what 1-Station 2-End of ride 3-(black) Brakes and railing/steps. 4-Possible water touch/brake 5-Lift hill 6-Into the woods 7-Out of the woods.

You get it man. I agree with you 100%. People call me crazy for liking the Beast better than the Voyage. I rode in the back of the Voyage and it actually hurt me! The Beast is bumpy but it has never actually heart me. Their is a catch to riding the Beast in the back though. Never ride in train number 3. No matter how long I have been waiting in line I will never ride in train 3. It is by far the worst train on their. I think its because of the wheels. But I haven't been to KI in a year so I don't know now. -

Your favorite coaster tunnel
dragsterfan420 replied to chavslayer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Like alot of people have said, my favorite is the Beast. The only difference with me is that the ending tunnel is not my favorite. My favorite is second tunnel (after the long break run). When the trains going through there if you look to the right, in the day, the trees and surrounding vegetation seem to have a strobelight type of effect to it. Also at the end of the tunnel all of the sounds swell up into an explosive, climatic noise that sounds like a fighter jet flying by you. -
What's your favorite Flat ride?
dragsterfan420 replied to FlyingScooter's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
My favorite flat ride would have to be drop towers like Drop Zone at Kings Island. No other flat rides scare me that much. No other flat rides scare me at all actually. -

I always go to parks with cargos. It will probably be pants rather than shorts but whatever. What days are usually the best to go on. I mean the days of the week. -

How many times the same ride in a day ?
dragsterfan420 replied to mingsai's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I've ridden the Beast God knows how many times but every time I travel up to Ohio and I got to KI, one of the days I'm at the park, I try to ride the Beast as many times as possible. One day last summer I got to the park early for the ACE Beast walk back. I got back there I rode it 2 times then went around the park to ride the other rides for a while. When it got to be 6:00pm I headed over to the Beast, again, and just rode it until they closed it. This was also one of the nights they had the ERT on it from 10:00pm to 12:00pm for CoasterCon. So, I ended up riding the Beast 78 times that day. I know I'm crazy but every time I rode it it just got better and better.
