Once again, as another year dawns on a wonderful world, the world-famous Download Festival once again looms near. With a line-up including Iron Maiden, Korn (Joey Jordison as the drummer), Job for a Cowboy and other exceptionally awesome bands (in my opinion), will anyone be attending? *edit* please only vote for one... I made a *slight* error on the polls and you can't edit them...

So me and a few friends wanted to go to Thorpe Park and buy fast passes so we could go on all the rides in one hit. The normal price is £32 to get in. A bit on the steep side, but for a park with a... selection of good rides, it's not that bad. So we looked at the price a few weeks ago and saw they want £72! For an unlimited fast pass for the day. Ok... I admit we were tempted to do it. You normally get 4 rides done. So, I went back just now and to my surprise (yes it was a surprise) we needed to pay ANOTHER £10!!!!! ENTRY WITH AN UNLIMITED FAST PASS FOR THE DAY COSTS *ONLY* ***£82!!!!!!*** RIP-OFF OR WHAT? I am so angry! There's no way in hell I can afford that!!!

Adventure Island. Has some good rides, but only has 4 rollercoasters... Very genetic, nothing 'top of the line' or new... Still relies on old school rides and attractions to bring in customers...

So me and a friend are going to The Download Festival and we really want a mahoosive flag to run around with! They need to be about 8-10ft long. Also, while we're talking about it, will anyone else be going? If so, what bands will you see?

me too, but its always closed when I go... 5 times I went! 5 times it was closed! and from the looks of it, Top Gun floorless would be awesome! It looks amazing now, but imagine... Wow!

Top Gun is a true swinging suspended coaster... Why does the Vampire not swing? BECAUSE THEY GOT RID OF THE TRAINS WITH THE FLOOR!!!! So many rides covered in so much detail! I love it!

I went to Adventure Island a few weeks back, I asked if I could film the ride from the floor. I explained I'd lay the camera lens facing up and not ride, so they allowed me. I exited via the exit (makes sense, doesn't it?) and waited. They lowered the restraints and done the check, then yelled at me. They asked if I wanted to start the ride. I was sooo over the moon about being asked, it was the shock of my life! After the ride had finished, they announced over the mic system (or whatever) to congratulate me for doing starting the ride without flaw (it was fairly complex for some reason) ans I got a round of applause. It made me feel really really special. They even let me unlock the restraints when it had finished! So, after people saw what I had done, they all demanded they do it. Stupid, huh? Did they not see the 'publicity/advertiser' tag around my neck? It was big, white and rectangular with my information on it. They then demanded the ride-op gave them one, but they didn't. I felt really bad about the situation, but they said Security would come and ban them. I felt like God! It was the best thing ever! another one: I went to Thorpe Park a few days ago and decided to go on The Samurai, my favourite flat ride there. They were having technical problems all day, so I got my seat on the end of the arm right next to the ride-ops booth. They closed all the restraints except for ours and completely ignored it for some reason. All the ops returned to the booth and gave the 'all-clear'. The op pressed the button and the ride shuddered into life, our restraints still open. The whole row was bricking it, screaming at the ops. What actually happened was their radio was giving feedback and they were getting pissed off by it, so they basically turned them off. The ops operating the restraints were called back for their opinion. The shudder was just a gust of wind that hit the weighted arm at the top. The ride had never started.

Can't remember where it was, but there was a really small fair with all the basic rides, spinning wild mouse etc... Nothing intense

I could go for something like that once a month... 3 day weekend! Partied tonight, partying tomorrow, recovering Sunday, coursework crackdown Monday... ouch

What graphics card(s) does everyone have for games like RCT3? Mine needs an update (its about 3 years old), so whats the best card for fairly high resolution gaming?
